I love my (now) Retro phone! I bought it for about £40 just before Glastonbury 2003 so I've had it 6 years now. It's lived, uncased, in my pocket for 18 hours a day, 7 days a week, woken me up every morning, been completely submerged in rainwater at Glasto 2004/5 and 7, drowned twice more at two other festivals and was dried out in the airing cupbard on all 5 ocasions. It's still working perfectly, but the screen is so scratched I can barely read my texts, so I've just bought a new fascia...

I owned the Siemens A55 mobile phone for quite a while a couple of years ago, and in July I bought another one to use as a spare phone for a measly £20 or so off eBay. It's very basic; doesn't even have a colour screen, but if you don't care for the features on modern phones and are only ever going to be using it for calling and texting and suchlike, then this is fine for you. I couldn't have done without it when my Sony Ericsson was in for repair recently. The design is quite nice; it's...

The Siemens A55 phone is really boring after a while and quite rubbish....

The Siemens A55 mobile phone is stylish because of the range of cases available. The polyphonic ringtones are quality, as well its pocket size. It hasn't got any games, except for Stack Attack, which is a huge disappointment....

The A55 is a good, cheap and easy to use phone for making calls and sending text messages, but it has one major draw back with the unlocking being so poor. The keypad does not lock automatically, it has to be done manually, which is very easy, but it will unlock itself just as easily. It hard to understand why such a good phone should be let down by such a basic design feature. If it took two keypresses to unlock it, as with many other phones, then it would not be a problem....

When I first got my Siemens A55, I was very pleased with it, it downloaded polyphonic ringtones (quite a new type of ringtone at the time.) It had different sorts of standered ringtones etc. It also had different sorts of games, but not snake which shocked me. I also didn't like the fact that as you got a new highscore it did not play music of some sort....

Well I have been without a mobile for a few months now after I sold my Sharp GX20 [one of the best phones out]. But I decided to get a cheap phone until I save up for a better phone [new Sharp GX30], and I was very pleased with the little A55 a very good looking little phone, it does not have the features of higher priced phones but works very well as a basic mobile phone it has one feature that does not come with all phones even expensive ones and that's the learning mode on its predictive text...

The Siemens A55 is an excellent phone if you need it basically for calls and sms. Has all the necessary extras I need - predictive text, alarm, vibrate alert, ring tones can be switched off easily, extra phone memory for numbers. For me, most importantly the battery lasts from 4 to 5 days. VERY VERY happy with this phone (after a number of Nokias)....

I have always had a Nokia, but I am really glad I got the Siemens A55 because it is a really cool phone it is tiny so it doesn't get in your way. It has everything a phone needs e.g internet, games, messages, alarm clock, calculator and pictures everything, it is bright and colourful and very easy to use....

Value for money is why I chose this Siemens A55 mobile phone, my previous one having been stolen. If you want a phone with 'features' don't get the A55. The monochrome screen means that WAP and internet are not that good....

Wwhhhhooo, The Siemens A55 is the best mobile phone for your money! If anyones thinking of getting one they should, if you wonna use it for just phoneing and texting great buy it but if your getting one for pics and animation, sorry this isnt the phone for you! Bad points: this phone isnt compiable with any pics & the covers are limited (there are hardly any places that stock them).

If you all ready have this phone i just found a really good site it gives away free ringtones,...

I don't think so. It's an old-fashioned phone.
<br>It don't have a style and functions even for this kind of money. And as you mentioned it is unable to receive any modern stylish thinks like true tones and logos like I saw at http://www.qvga.com for example. These things are important now. So I recommend to buy LG 5500.

I've always had Nokia phones but since having this one i am glad i changed. Love the orange screen, its just a bit different...the covers are cute, the animations and ringtones (polyphonic and normal) make this a must have phone. Menu options are easy to use and the phone has alot of funky little features.
I would describe this as a funky fone!...

I bought this phone for £59.99 and think it is an excellent buy. The body is sleek and classy and it's a hard job to choose between the red or blue option. The screen is orange which complements the phone fully and the functions are pretty easy to use. Clipped onto your belt you will forget it is even there in 5 minutes due to it being so light. Not as easy to use as a Nokia but this is a very minor disadvantage. Buy one today!...

I have just changed from a nokia because all nokia handsets have become so similar, the siemens is perhaps not as easy to use, but it is full of features and is very small and lightweight and for the cost I think it is brilliant....
