Good Points: Great when you can get refill cylinder.
Bad Points: Almost impossible to get refills nowadays other than direct from Sodastream at a very high cost. Tescos, Sainsburys, etc no longer stock refills.
General comments: The Soda Stream Drinks Maker is a great bit of kit WHEN YOU CAN GET REFILLS. I've had Sodastreams for 20 years for carbonating water from our spring but can't get refills any more, so my "Original" machine is now useless. Don't bother to buy one of these any more - you won't be able to refill the cylinder locally!

I can NOT get hold of replacement gas cylinders!
I have been looking absolutely everywhere for the "Fizz-on-Line" replacement gas cylinder.
Can I find it? - NO!
I feel that I'm now either forced to upgrade to a newer model, which costs a lot!! Or I have to throw away the whole drinks maker - made of plastic + throw away the empty gas cylinders!
This is not good for the environment, nor is it good for my wallet!
I would NEVER recommend anybody to by a Soda Stream - I think it is more hassle t ...

I liked the style of drink maker, only downfall was the gas bottle refills, they seem to be non existent. I was quoted £34 for 2 refills direct from Soda stream, this included postage etc, I only paid £39 for the complete maker!

It is almost impossible to find a refill gas bottle for my Soda Stream Drinks Maker. I have tried all the major supermarkets in my area (Leeds), but to no avail. I have had to post the said heavy item to the manufacturer to be refilled!

This review concerns the supply of the Soda Stream gas bottles, not the drinks maker.
As a maker of home brew beer, I have long relied on the Soda stream gas cylinders for pressurizing the barrel. Without the added gas pressure, an expensive 4 gallon brew remains trapped in the barrel. Finding that the supermarkets had stopped selling them, I eventually found the offer on the Soda website - two large 60 litre gas bottles supplied by post from Soda-Club Worldwide Trading Co. for £34.96 w ...

I have had several Soda Stream Drinks makers over the last 30 years, and I love it.
However, for this last year I have had problems getting refills for my gas cylinder. My local Asda, Salisbury's and Tesco no longer stock Soda Stream, and therefore my machine is now useless.

I had difficulty getting Sodastream bottles for a few months. You need to contact your local Tesco's.
If they have stopped stocking them, give them some gyp like I did.
They are on their stock list, so they can order them. I eventually persuaded my local store to re-stock.
I have acquired 5 spare ones now, and I change them as soon as they run out in case this happens again.
If you are really stuck, and don't like the taste of the artificially sweetened lemonade that seems to be the only ...

I do not like sparkling mineral water so the Soda Stream drinks maker is a great answer for fizzy water. I have found an outlet for the gas cylinders - ASDA Superstore, and they have been my life saver. I sought high and low to find a replacement.

I bought a Soda Stream drinks maker last year from Asda, and found out that the Asda in Brighton no longer sell the refill bottles, and I am having great problems finding them.
I live in Tunbridge Wells, Kent, and can't find anywhere to buy them! If anyone can help I would be very grateful!

This is no longer Soda Stream, but Soda Empty with Steam getting out of my ears and Scream out of my mouth. Gas cylinders are nowhere to be found. The website of soda stream is useless, as the addresses it gives are NOT providing refills. This has proven a very expensive way of doing soda. A bit like buying the dealer's garage when you buying your new car. If money is not an object, go for it. In that case, send me also a cheque.... I'm going back to good old bottles which thanks to good work of ...

Since Soda Stream no longer exists having been acquired by an Israel based company I find the new company name of "Soda-Club Worldwide Trading Company" not only to be a misnomer but a complete contradiction in terms...Where are the cylinder refills! Is Europe not included in 'Worldwide'?
Can ANYONE please advise of a distributor in the Inverness, Scotland area...Pretty please!

Be very careful when buying a new Soda Stream Drinks Maker, you should make sure you can get the CO2 bottles refilled or this will cost you a lot of money to make a drink with the soda stream.

Soda Stream Drink Maker is a great machine to have, it makes great sparking water, mixers for achoholic drinks, many flavours to choose from like cola, ginger ale and tonic to name a few, gas cylinder refill costs £3.49
