    This electric lawn rake is very good for collecting leaves in autumn and helps after lots of mess left behind when I trim my shrubs and hedges. However when I use as a 'moss-eater' the motor grinds and sometimes the tines get jammed into the lawn. I feel that over time, this will break the machine and it will be no good! Black & Decker GD200GB Mosseater Lawnraker is quite expensive for a little box of cogs and plastic inside, plus it is very loud - not very good when it gets dark early in the winter!

    I felt I had to right this as I was fed up with all the 'good' reviews. My lawnraker was used 3 times and it seems the motor has burnt out (3days outside guarantee). Not pleased with Black and Deckers of today

    The Black and Decker GD200 lawnraker works well. I would suggest on first use to lightly scarify followed by a heavier cut as the motor is not that powerful and could possibly burn out with a heavily thatched lawn. After a winter lay up I used mine and the tine bar bearing had seized (opposite end from motor) and melted into the plastic case. As it is just a block of metal it had rusted onto the shaft I managed to replace it with a proper ball race. The moral of the story is to lubricate this "b ...

    The Black & Decker GD200GB Mosseater Lawnraker is excellent for large lawns, and it saves a lot of time and effort because it removes moss very efficiently and collects it in a box, this height adjustable raker is lightweight and easy to use.
