An administration error and could not take money from my bank. Because of this they sent me 16 emails while I was away on holiday. They then (even though it was their fault) suspended my account and tried to charge me an "administration fee".

Dataflame said in an email, that my money is going to refunded into my bank account with in 7-10 business days, but it is about a month there is no money in my bank that I am aware of. I several times requested for my domain to be transfer, but no reply yet it seems. Therefore I do not recommend data flame.com

I signed on to Dataflame and for hours my reseller hosting was not activated and I then asked that the account be cancelled and my money refunded. Dataflame has not yet responded to my request for a refund.

They suspended my site they host when a few people emailed them complaining in my opinion. I hosted a forum and the users started fighting amongst themselves. They emailed dataflame when someone called them a name or posted an insulting picture.Dataflames response was suspension it seems. I have been a customer for many years and now I do not recommend Dataflame.

Dataflame are cheap for me, but once I signed up with them it's hard to remember that alongside this I get unhelpful customer service. Things went well at the beginning, then they changed the interface without any notice and since this my 'sitebuilder' had bugs that meant other people's webpages suddenly appearing on my site - this happened a couple of months back and they don't take responsibillity as far as I am concerned. I can't wait to cancel, which I'll do as soon as I can pay more for a q ...

It has been difficult to speak to a manager. When issues escalate or staff are rude in my opinion there is no one to contact and despite repeatedly asking for a manager (over a 4 day period) I have not been contacted by anyone with any type of authority within the company as far as I am concerned..

I set up one website with them, and when I'd just about finished it the pages all went haywire, so I emailed them to delete my account as the only alternative contact was a premium rate number. Several days later I received an email asking me to open another account. I decided to give it another go, and after spending a very long time setting up my site, I found 99 percent of my information( and there was a lot) had disappeared as far as I am aware. Tried to email them again, but the email came ...

I joined explaining what I needed and after 1 week it was obvious they could not supply it as far as I am concerned. I canceled the order and asked for a refund. That was in 2005. In 2008 they took money from my account without informing me.
I have a picture of the cancellation page the day I processed it. I took this picture because in just 1 to 2 weeks I realised I might not be happy with Dataflame. Therefore I do not recommend this web hosting company.

I have been with these guys for over 2 years, not really had any major problems. I work in the web area, and i do see a lot of people always trying for a hasty refund for something or other (no i am not affiliated to dataflame), so I do wonder how valid some of these negative comments are! Anyway, the downtime has been minimal. As I mentioned above, all the included features are quite pleasing, but they are a bit light on Sql databases! My only gripe would be that certain sites that I host via d ...

Customer service very very snotty just keep harping on about I agreed to terms when signing up
Cost me another years subscription when not wanted and then instead of trying to keep me happy they charged me for canceling too late only received a portion of money back
Thought everything over with until this year and they now are trying to charge me for domain name.
Why they could not have advised me then
received email again today saying I have to click on link to cancel.
But don't have details no ...

In my experience, not a very good hosting company that makes up for its "overloaded" hardware with good Live support.
I do not recommend Dataflame.

Customer service is horrific, in my experience, you feel like you're dealing with inflexible money-grabbing cretins. You can get a cheaper, more polite service elsewhere.

When I tried to cancel my host, it was the beginning of the nightmare. The auto renew can't be disabled and when you got the renew notice, it is already too late because you need to cancel you host 21 days in advance. No way to escape because they store you credit card details. I got the bad experience twice with Dataflame. The second time because they sent an email about billing policy change. The email said account has to be manually renewed otherwise the account will be suspended. But when t ...

I wouldn't recommend Dataflame to anyone who values uptime and problem-free hosting solutions... Try Hostgator for that! On the other hand, if you're strapped for cash and don't depend on your hosting for business/clients, you'll probably OK. If you asked me who'd be the perfect customer for this lot, I'd probably say Computing/Technology students.

Real problems with communication. Who are these people? I took a Dataflame account on one package, and then asked to swap to a different package. The next thing I knew was my website got deleted and I lost everything. Up-time was generally good. An option to take as long as you never need to communicate using simple English.

I hosted a website and email with Dataflame for 2 years, and in that time it's not failed!
They are very helpful when I contact them via live chat on their site, and they quickly resolve problems.
They are able to provide additional features not on their site, just ask them.
Way better than my last provider "Fasthosts"!

I've been with Dataflame for just over a year. My account just renewed automatically, but I didn't have the money in my account to cover it, so the first I heard of it was them threatening court action, plus they had added on a hefty fine. I was told I could speak to someone until I paid the bill. Then when I paid the bill, it turned out they had deleted all my files, but when I told them they said my files were never there and their records are never wrong.
I'd stay well away from these ...
