An absolutely beautiful first release Miles Away by a singer-songwriter Jen Gloeckner. I wish she would give us another one. Please Jen? This is a stunning CD. If you haven't listened to anything on it, just try the first track. You will be hooked. I am a volunteer DJ at our local PBS station, and the CD disappeared out of our library. This album is so great because a lot of thought has been put into the order of the songs. The first two songs are acoustic numbers, but the album gradually lifts ands builds into a chilled out masterpiece of almost psychadelic soundscapes. Definitely one for a night in with your other half/chilled sunday recovery or a late night drink/smoke.
The only bad thing I can say about this album is that it is the only album and there is very little info out there about Jen Gloeckner. In my humble... (read more)
