General comments: Westlake S2 .177.... this is nice pisol when tuned...177 is a good choice for air pistols.......allways oil the piston before use to increase power...it has well shaped wooden pistol stock,,, its best too strip the air pistol down,,,and tune it up well...it may be rusty inside......

I bought the .177 version a couple of months ago and have put about 200 pellets through it. I went for the .177 because it'll also fire darts and theoretically should be more accurate than the .22 (the .177 has a rifled barrel, whilst the .22 version is a smoothbore).

It's a lot of fun and I would recommend it as a fun low power air pistol for backyard plinking.
It is heavy and the cocking mechanism might be a big strong for some, but there is a bit of a knack to cocking it which you can so ...

For a few years i have been using airsoft guns, but even though they are great fun they are highly inaccurate. So i decided to purchase an air pistol. For a first time user I found it was easy to use, very powerful (shoots through pine wood) and accurate. It is let down by the fact that the rear sight comes loose easily other than that this is a great gun.

Very good gun at a bargain price of £20 for my Westlake S2 .177. The gun is very accurate and powerful, however the rear sight is a pain to mess with to get the gun at its most accurate. Have not yet used it for pest control however I was shooting beer cans at about 12m and it pierced a hole in one side. Would definitely recommend it for a first gun to shoot cans, fruit, etc., and even small animals, however not tried as yet.

This Westlake (SMK) Westlake S2 .177 is my first air pistol and it has given me a lot of fun. It is quite a powerfull pistol, with it I have managed to take out rabbits, birds and rats! An excellent first gun!

I bought my Westlake smk s2 .177 about about 6months ago for £25

At first this gun is capable of shooting close to the stated 400fps but it is inconsistent and after about 20 shots the power dropped off considerably I doubt it was doing much more than 250fps

The accuracy is equally bad from a distance of 10yards I could only achieve 6" centre to centre and I consider my marksmanship to be quite good I can achieve 1 1/2" at 10 yards with my Gamo auto 45 at 10yards

    In an attempt to ...

The Westlake S2 .177 is powerful and accurate, a real fun gun. Pest control is fun with the .22 being the weapon of choice. Pointed pellets will go through ply! A highly rated good all round pistol!

The Westlake (SMK) Westlake S2 .177 is a brillant, powerful and accurate great first gun for pinging stuff in the garden and a little hunting and pest control eg pigeons, rabbits, rats, squirrels, crows and even at close range, pheasants. Cheap, best to use pointed pellets for hunting as they provide more penetration, not as accurate as flat heads which are great for target practise and are more powerful but still use pointed ones for hunting. Overall, great gun!!!!!
