“waste of money. Terrible service”

During my flight Air Hostess – she served me the food. As I took the food from her I stated that I had ordered a Vegetarian Hindu Meal and she confirmed that it was a vegetarian meal. So I started eating. I ate half the meal, but then started to feel ill like my body was rejecting the food. I inspected the food which appeared to contain meat. I called flight chief Mr Oussama Hatem and asked him what food had been served to me. He confirmed that I had been served a vegetarian meal. I challenged him, and asked contents were in the Vegetarian Hindu Meal. He said that the Vegetarian Hindu Meal contains all meat except beef. I asked him to check airline manual to confirm the same. He came back to me after 15 minutes and said, as per the airline manual, the Vegetarian Hindu Meal does not contain meat! I was disgusted that I had eaten a meal containing meat. I was also shocked at the lack of knowledge and repeated misinformation which I had received from the Kuwait Airline staff. During my conversation with Mr Hatem I found him to be rude and arrogant. I was sick 4-5 times on the flight after eating the meal. I told Mr Hatem that I wanted to lodge a formal complaint, but he did not want to do it. He called over Flight Stewart who also pressurised me not to lodge complaint as it would go against them but I insisted that I wanted to lodge a complaint. I have never eaten meat in my entire life due to my religious belief and was physically sick for several days after this incident. I am still very upset and distressed that I ate meat.

“this airline is a disgrace”

i preferred to fly with kw8 airlines it was bit cheaper missed christmas with my family following a delay due to kw8 airlines which prevented me from reaching my connection on time never again!

“Rude, abusive, horrid.”

Pay a bit extra and travel with a respectable airline. Kuwait staff are nasty, rude, verbally abusive and allowed a man on the flight to attend to himself under his garments! Nobody told him to stop. Most people I met were nasty & rude, please don't put yourself through this it's humiliating.

“Never travel - worst airline in my 20 years travel”

Please do not travel or recommend this airline to anyone you know. I have travelled extensively to Asia on various airlines never see airline this bad. Very old aircraft and very poorly maintained. Even if they gave me a ticket free would never travel this airline again. Please help your family and friends and pass on the msg. They even do not have blankets, broken seats, horrible food etc. people may be misguide by other middle Easter lines which are good. Please do not let other passengers suffer.

“Better crawl, walk, drive or swim than fly Kuwait Airways”

Don't ever fly with this horrendous airline. Paris-Rome-Paris. Two hours delay outbound, five hours delay inbound, antediluvian aircraft (9K-AMD, Airbus A300, first flight 1993 and 9K-AMA, Airbus A300, first flight 1992), unpleasant staff, filthy plane, disgusting food, revolting toilets, broken TV set, no information, wrong information. Impossible to switch to another airline. Let's say I'm probably lucky the pilots knew how to fly it. Better late than dead I suppose, but never again will I fly with this terrible airline. It's a wonder they are not mentioned on the European Union blacklist as I'm sure the lack of decent care in the cabin and by staff must be reflected just as badly in the maintenance and repairs, and standards of operation. Other low-cost airlines are utmost luxury compared to Kuwait Airways.

“The most Racist airlines ever...Kuwait Airways”

I have travelled on Kuwait Airways recently on not just one flight but 4 and so this review is not a single bad incident review but a series of observations about how racist kuwait airways staff is and how in general this is a pretty horrible airlines. I do knew that this was a low cost airlines so I was never expecting any frills but this was much worse than I ever imagined. In last almost ten years that i had been in USA , I have never experienced racism and guess what the first time I had to face it was not even n western airline. The staff in general was very rude and least interested in serving the customers and if you are a non white person travelling in their air craft then you are less important than a dog. Firstly the airline staff even outside aircraft was unfriendly and rude. While checking in when I was asking for the preferred seat at JFK airport , the response I got was "why u didnt check in online? Now I cant give you any window seat as whole flight is full"; When I boarded it half of it was empty , clearly the lady was least bothered about customer service. Then the tv screen never worked , it was never suppose to work I guess as no one even tried watching any movies as they were flickering , dont have a menu control and clearly from the last century equipment. Then the staff is totally unresponsive to your request. Even the attendant call buttons on the seat dont work. And even if you ask them for a very simple thing like a glass of water or blanket , the response you get is "Wait ; I dont have time; Ask someone else" . Of course if you are a white person specially a white blond lady then you can expect a very special treatment from the staff ; who can be at your disposal. For everybody else why on earth did you book this airlines? The staff will give you food like you are a hungry African child starving for food; literally thrown at you and not served. Also if you resting and you have requested a special meal like veg meal then staff will shout back at you ; "why was you sleeping then? Now I dont have any veg meal ; Do you understand that we dont cook food here on plane?" This was not juust most in-dignifying and horrible experience of my life but worst nightmare as well. I have travelled perhaps literally hundreds of times before in over 50 countries but this was the absolute worst. I would strongly warn anyone against boarding it. It seems staff working for Kuwait Airways are not working out of their free will but a bonded labor of Kuwait govt. and so take off their frustrations on the customer. Even if you ask for a simple thing like a pen ; they will give you a look like you are beggar and of course deny you that thing. And then you can hear the airline crew chatting "Oh these **** people ; they are so dirty" . Clearly the staff and perhaps even the Kuwait Airways management has a racist bias and unequal attitude and maybe its a normal thing in their part of the world ; But they must realise that when they travel to USA or NewYork such a behaviour is not just intolerable but reprehensible.

“They will cheat you”

This is one of the worst airlines. I am a South Indian in USA, going back for my wedding. I am also going to renew my Visa. This airline has said that they will not let me board the plane today, because I don't have a valid US visa! I am employed in USA, and simultaneously studying. I have no intention to visit UK. But in the last minute I was asked to come the next day for another flight, and pay 200 dollars fine, for not having a US visa, since the plane is going through UK. I have to pay for my accommodation, and stay in USA. The staff where mocking me for having South Indian accent in my Hindi. They decided that I should stay in USA and not go through UK, since I don't have a US visa! All this started with one North Indian lady asking me if I knew Hindi and then mocking at my accent. In short, they caused a lot of agony and loss of money, just because I don't know their language well. Please stay away from this airlines.

“!970's in the sky... But not as glamorous...”

An airline at least 40 years behind its time in every aspect of its outlook and service. It would be quant if you did not have to fly it. If the medieval world had planes this is what they would look like... Business Class makes you wonder how this country could be so rich per capita... Its certainly not through knowing anything about business, it seems.... First class is ultra tatty too. No real class here. Seats generally falling apart and broken - many years old - filled with arrogant people - so to that extent you can't blame the crew for being uninterested. Unfortunately I am forced to fly this airline all the time for my job. Were I to purchase tickets with my own funds I never would. In fact I often pay my own way to have a decent flight rather than go through this agony on my way home to Kuwait after holidays abroad.

Avoid avoid avoid at all cost,We had a really unfortunate pleasure of flying with Kuwait airways from london to sir lanka via Kuwait, horrible horrible and terrible thats all i would have to say, we flew with an 18 months old baby and my God it was hell, extremely rude staff, if you complain they don't give a dam about it, only 2 toilets for over 100 passengers and 2 for 10 business class passengers and for some reason you as economy class passengers cant even use their toilets like they are gods and those toilets are made of gold, My wife was 7 months pregnant and air hostess pushed her back and stopped her for using the business class passengers toilet which i think is extremely rude, It seems like all they care about is their special business class passengers when they totally forgot their business is run by middle class people who fly economy class. We choose our seats and booked our flights 6 months in advance and some clever git decided to change our seats because some Arab family decided to sit there in the seat with bassinet, racist as hell, people who have children's would know what i mean in sitting in the middle row tight as hell, with 12kg of baby sleeping on your lap, and when we complaint to the chief air host instead of giving us another seat he lied to us that there is nothing else available which clearly wasn't the case and he gave feedback comment card and told us to write a complain and he will send it to someone with his report, which i am pretty sure will end up in garbage . Trust me you are better off by flying any other airline but this specially if you have children and would like to avoid racist situations.

I could not agree more.I made the mistake of flying LHR-JFK with this shower.The cabin crew were unforgiveably awful. Rude,unprofessional,intimidating.I witnessed one stewardess shouting at a mother travelling with two small children who had made a mess on the floor and then stand,hands on hips, whilst she was forced to clear it up.My 'hello' on boarding and 'goodbye' on leaving the aircraft were met with icy glares. The crew were quite scary really in a funny sort of way, a bit like the nurses in 'One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest',but all in all quite sad and pathetic.
I didn't bother to complain, as judging from other people's comments it would probably have gone unanswered.And anyway , it's so bad surely someone in management must have noticed !

“Air India and the US Airlines are PARADISE compared to...”

I have traveled them twice(JFK-COK), and stressfully ended up in unexpected places. 1st time, JFK LHR KWI 777 delayed 6hrs. They lied to us saying that Cochin flight would wait for us-It didn't and everyone was angry. We were rerouted on the 747 to BOM, and Jet Airways 737 800 to COK. COming back, we were late to them, but officially stil allowed to check in. Eventually we did, and got through A310 and 777. 2nd time, COK KWI canceled. Refusal to provide hotel, alternate tickets- Lead to extreme anger and violence at airline office, away from airport. We payed thousands of our own dollars to get to JFK that day A complaint note was sent to them from us

“JFK to KWI roundtrip”

What can i say other than sitting in C class ( business ) and F ( first class ) returning that both trips were the most uncomfortable flights i've ever experienced. The seats in business and first are just horrible, the lumbar support is like a 2X4 , the food not so pleasant. What amazed me was i got up to use the lav and the whole gallery was filled with people saying prayers on their mats and it was hard to get into the lav due to this, nothing against religion but come on you can't wait a bit, plus one not to embrace Islam i found it unsettling to say the least. The flight entertainment sucked as 3 different tablets to watch a limited variety of movies didn't work nor did the headsats. Finally i just put it in the seat pocket and said the hell with it. The flight returning was over an hour late leaving KWI and i was unable to re-check my luggage in JFK back to ATL which was the last flight to ATL from JFK hence my bag arrived 3 days later. I hear they are arranging finance to augment their fleet ( airbus ) but i don't care what type of aircraft they buy , they need to invest in up to date seats for business and first class. Overall , I will NEVER step aboard this airline again.

“Worst Journey !”

It was a long seven hours horrible journey with my two children from Bangladesh to Kewait. It happen while we were coming back home to America from Bangladesh. The crew membes were very rude and unprofessional. They often forget, we have paid for the service that they are suppose to give us. The supervisor of that flight was very intemadating and unprofessional . I was totally helpless, sad and angry the hole time I was flying. The Crüe member was keep ignoring me and my children while she was serving the other passengers, because of I told her, I didn't like the way she talk to me. She told me to flash the toilet whle I didn't even use it. That was very insulting and intemadating. I have been leaving in the USA for last twenty four yeas, I believe I have learned the manner. NO ONE HAS TO TELL ME TO FLASH THE TOILET. I have written a letter to the Kewat Airways office almost a year. I haven't heard from them. They don't care about their customer. That's my conclution. It was a horrible journey I ever had in my life!!

That's Kuwait Airways. I have traveled around the world and roughly flew with 93 different airlines in my life. Honestly speaking Kuwait airways most probably will be the top of worst airlines in the entire globe. And the attitude of the crew are awful.

“Horrible airline ”

I do not recommend this airline even to my foes. Horrible experience in any aspect of a plane travelling from the plane itself to crew members being to rude many customers. Flight not on time. Customer service in New York told me their "only duty is to bring passengers to their destination. It doesn't matter to them they reach destination on time or not , it is not a matter of their concern at all, even if passengers miss their connecting flight or not." Do not fly with them if you have children to fly with, even if you do not have other choices. it is better to cancel the trip than flying with them.This airline should not be flying over our sky. Horrible airline is the one word I could use to describe them.

“Bad experience flying on Kuwait Airways”

March 5th I flew on Kuwait airways from JFK to Kochin (India). This was my first experience on this flight. I would never recommend anyone taking this flight. The air crafts are very old. Inflight entertainment never worked. No leg space, Bad customer service. Flight from Kuwait to JFK was delayed over 14 hours with out much explanation. When asked the staff was very rude and they were yelling at the passengers. I promise never in my life i will travel on Kuwait airways.

“It's Okay to travel if for less amount of money”

My travel was from London to Cochin.The entertainment was not working most of the time.And they were all kind of streaming means you can only watch the ones they are running with their own timing.The people sitting nearby was really rude and misbehaved.From their talks i came to know that they were Kuwait origins.The timing of the airlines was good and on time.The food was better than i expected. The most annoying part that i expected was the miscarriage of my baggage.I reached Cochin airport at the right time.Until then everything was good,compared to the reviews i read.At Cochin airport when i was searching for my baggage one of the employee came to me and asked my name and said that one of your luggage is missing and i should write a baggage claim.then i went to her and after travelling for almost 12 hrs i have to fill everything regarding my baggage.It took me about 2 hrs to get out of the airport.And i kept on calling for my baggage and said they didn't find it.So i filed the whole things in the bag and send to them.they said it will take 3 months to process.And the lucky thing was that i got a refund for that at least which is a good thing but i lost so many things i valued the most. So if you are travelling by this airways you must be ready to face these problems.And my vacation was ruined by filling out forms and sending back and forth.
