Purchased a set a while back through the internet. Found I was hitting these farther than I have before and cut my score down too. (read more)

If the Pro V1/V1x really is the ball every one should play, why do Titleist bother to make any other golf balls? And how can a ball played by a 25 year old, 115 mph club head speed Tour pro also suit the 80 year old, 70 mph club head speed senior who can't get the ball off the floor and hits his driver 180 yards? Love the marketing - don't believe the hype ... its time people bought a ball to match their game, to match their swing and to match the courses they play. (read more)

The pro v 1 x is a very good ball. The paint does scuff slightly when struck with a crisply struck iron shot.A ball must keep its shape for at least eighteen holes of golf. The Callaway C T U 30,was the closest to the pro v 1 x,in terms of overall quality! (read more)

When it comes to golf equipment I am happy to spend money if i get something back. So when a golf ball gets the amount of press that the ProV does, I am going to give it a go. The ProV1 and ProV1X have been around for a while now and the 'X' is the later "version" but in my experience the two aren't directly comparable. Of course it's all personal preference, but I found the 'x' just a bit too hard - i definitely feel more in control with the regular V1 - i think to get the best out of the... (read more)

I read an article in golf digest that specified off iron byron robot
machine that surprisingly the pro v 1 ball fles 1 yard farther
but had more backspin than the pr v 1 x which can be bad in
windy conditions either bal excellent choice one in which
you will definietly see short game improvment with these balls
and that is where over 60 percent of shots are hit from go buy these now.

This ball was played at a golf course with plenty of wind. The ball went where it was aimed. I recommend this ball to all my friends. Good off the tee if you have clubhead speed, excellant in the short game. Pitching, chipping, and putting display why people pay the amount of money for this ball. Could not find any bad points. This Titleist PRO V 1 X ball is meant for high swing speed players who favour distance over absolute spin control like the regular Pro V1.
It has a hard feel off the tee (like most distance balls) but is not lacking in the short game area like most distance balls.
It chips well, and although imo you will struggle to expect spin (should you be good enough to purposefully get it) it does putt well having a nice soft feel that we strive for, as opposed to putting bits of concrete like top...

How is the ball for workability?
Written on: 16/12/2005
I have been playing the Pro V1x for almost three years now. I like the ball a whole lot but it does get scuffs on it easily from wedges and some irons. The only downfall to the ball is the soft cover. I like the ball a whole lot and would not change. I am a 2 handicap and can work the ball very well. Overall the ball is well worth the money if you are a low handicapper and do not mind spending the money for a good ball.

Titleist is good but this suggests not as good as they were.
