    Good Points: across the road from beach


    General comments:
    if you are expecting the Hotel Tobago to be in palma nova its not it is literally round the corner from magaluf and 20 minute walk to palma nova, therefore noisey at night from gangs of shouting lads and girls walking past. There are lots of groups of lads and girls (as many as 20 in a group) staying in hotel it is not a family hotel, using language you would not want an 8 year old listening to. food ok left over dinner for breakfast (wedges and chips) lovely, do. not cater for children. Pool small, shallow end occupied by the groups of lads and girls and also take over the tiny childrens pool. if you are a family thinking of booking this hotel think again hotels are not being fussy about their clientelle think they are happy just to have bookings.

    My husband and I went to stay at the Hotel Tobago here for 30th Birthday, Staff are very pleasant and rooms very basic but cleaned and fresh towels each day. The pool area has plenty space outdoor toilet grubby but on the whole very nice. We were half board and the evening food was superb good quality and lots of choice. We had a great time, whether we were out for a meal or clubbin till dawn the hotel is in the best spot for every attraction is within a walk.

    Returned from this Hotel Tobago on the 30th June, went on a girly weekend and it was very good the weather super, hotel great value for money, maids came in daily and changed towels.

    Hotel Tobago has great views from the rooms and is all over good hotel. There's some fabulous bars and shops in Palma Nova and the beach is just three footsteps from the hotel!

    Views from 8th floor were terrific, food was very good most days, had to stay elsewhere for first night due to over booking as many others did during our first few nights there, chatted to people that had this problem last year also, Ruby Tuesday, English bar across the road was great, good entertainment, cheap drinks,good atmosphere,.. Would consider staying there again, shame they don't do self catering.

    After reading the mixture of reviews on the Hotel Tobago before we went, I was a bit anxious because as a teenager I didn't really want to be going to a dirty, boring hotel with nothing to do. When we arrived, I was welcomed by a pleasant surprise as the hotel was lovely, the staff were very welcoming and happy to help with anything.     I have stayed at the Tobago before, so was very disappointed with the food this time. Every meal was cold and although I made two complaints about the food, there was no improvement. The water in the morning was never very hot, so we were unable to make a cup of tea. The restaurant staff were very surly. There were no labels on the food so we were not sure what each one was, presentation was poor. The cleaning staff did a good job and were very pleasant.

    The location of the Hotel Tobago in Palma Nova was excellent. It could not have been any closer to the beach and nightlife. I am a very fussy eater, but I could not complain about the food. The rooms were small but ideal, with excellent views.

    The lifts in the hotel could be a lot better, and staff a bit more helpful, but nothing major.

    It was the best holiday I have ever had. I would definitely go again, and I would recommend it to anyone wanting a young and lively holiday, or anyone jus ...

    The location of the Hotel Tobago is just perfect and Palma Nova is lovely, the coves are so beautiful and the sea is clear and calm! The hotel is small and friendly and has everything you need for a beach holiday! The rooms were modern and cleaned every day and the maids were very friendly. The air conditioning was brilliant and very effective! We loved our stay and would visit the Hotel Tobago again, but go room only but then again I am a fussy eater!

    The Hotel Tobago in Palma Nova should be featured on Holidays From Hell!

    This hotel advertises that it is located in Palma Nova. IT IS NOT. It is in Torrenova. It is filthy, and the service was terrible! My wife and I went there, and after 1 night I asked Med Hotels to move us. This they did, and we can not fault Med Hotels for their service. The TV is chained to the wall, the fridge is padlocked, and you can not lock the Balcony door. Not to put too finer point on it, the hotel is rubbish! ...

    The Hotel Tobago stunk of sewage, and basically catered for the Spanish, the staff weren't very friendly the lifts were broken nearly half our stay, we just came back today (23rd august 2005) and I'm glad to see the back of that place, I wouldn't wish that place of any of my friends or family.

    Hotel Tobago - I thought that the hotel was one of the best hotels I've been to. I especially loved the lounge!!! The rooms were very spacious and the view was great, especially the location of the hotel because all you had to do was walk over the road and the beach was there and if you walked up the street in the morning it was shops but on a night it was a strip. All the bar staff were really nice.

    I 34, partner 35, mother 57, children 11 & 13 all had a very enjoyable stay at Hotel Tobago. Clean & tidy rooms although very small, but as you are not in them for long quite adequate. Clean towels everyday, entertainment nightly was okay, good views of Palma Nova, beach 50 metres away and shops, bars & restaurants also close. The children enjoyed the food and they are usually quite fussy, a lot of choice for all different tastes. Ruby Tuesdays (across the road) was a good venue for all ages and ...

    Hotel Tobago was excellent; our room (on 3rd floor) had an absolutely stunning view of Palma nova beach and the cove. The pool was really nice - clean, and plenty of sun beds. The hotel is literally 10 steps from the beach and restaurants. the staff were all really friendly and the room was clean and well equipped (glad of powerful air con!) good choice of food.

    Hotel Tobago is a good hotel for a cheap break, in a great location right between Magaluf and Palma Nova. Our room was clean and a reasonable size with an amazing seaside view. The balcony door was only single glazed, with a rotten wooden frame and wouldn't shut properly. Therefore there was a lot of draft and noise coming in from outside.
