    Good Points: Great location with huge sea and volcano Etna view - very elegant rooms - super breakfast - great staff - shuttle to town centre

    General comments: We recently stayed at Villa Ducale and we had a wonderful time. We had booked through their web site found in google deluxe rooms at the Villa Ducale, but were pleasantly surprised to find ourselves upgraded to a mini suite. My friends were also upgraded and both rooms were amazing! We had lovely balconies and stunning views. Our bathrooms were very modern and extremely well appointed. In fact, ours had a spa tub large enough for four and a huge shower, that could easily accommodate two people. We had a sitting room, large bedroom, lovely veranda, and huge bath with separate w.c. facilities. We had complimentary fruit beautifully presented in our sitting room and yummy biscotti on our dresser. Sicilian blood oranges are the most famous as you know . The second day we had a complimentary bottle of Nero Avola wine .. what a treat !!! .

    I read about other people complaining about transportation to town : we used every single day the free of charge hotel shuttle bus which takes you up and down the old town centre in less than 5 minutes !!!! It was very convenient at 10.30 pm after dinner and a short stroll along the pedestrian area. Why people can be so bad ?
    Our dining room experience was a culinary delight. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meals and the wine list was exceptional. We were told that we did not have to dress for dinner and to be relaxed. Some guests were casual and some were more dressy. The service was very attentive. Breakfast was a delight!

    We felt very warmly welcomed and very comfortable with all of the staff, who went out of their way to make certain, that our stay was outstanding, which it was. My friends forgot their electric toothbrushes and they were sent to our last destination without charge by courier. They would have sent them on to the the U.S., if necessary.

    We are looking forward to another stay at the Villa Ducale.
