I have always been a fan of both converse and adidas and I can honestly say that these brands manufacture shoes that go the extra mile. I still have a pair of Chuck Taylor's double tongue from 6 years ago :)). Love these guys. great Job

Converse are great! But not to comfy! maybe don't buy if you have quit wide feet as they really hurt you and you end up with blisters
They are quite expensive though but still good!

I love these shoes. They are very stylish and I couldn't see myself in any other shoe.
One problem is that it has no arch support, which can be very painful if you're like me. But you can always buy insoles with arch support.
I love how they let my feet breathe and how easy it is to clean them. And the wide variety of colors and designs are excellent.
One of the things I wish it had was maybe a more reinforced ankle.
As in, Putting more stronger fabric in the line in the back of the ankle to support the ankle better.
I also like how they are averaged priced compared to some shoes you buy that can be $100-$150. It's a great buy on sale.
And it's never worth it to buy knock off.

Converse Chuck Taylor All Star skate shoes aren't for people with undeveloped feet or ankles. If you've worn heavily padded shoes your whole life, you're probably in that category. So expect to have twisted ankles because these don't provide ankle support. You know what's good for ankle support? ANKLES. If you're like me and you do a lot of barefoot training you'll love these and you won't have any of the issues talked about because you're feet and ankles are strong enough to support you're weight. Just like nature intended.

A step up from walking around in nothing but socks. I broke my ankle while descending a flight of stairs in these flimsy things. My advice to anyone who has never worn Chucks, but is planning to purchase a pair is do yourself a favor buy a pair of Vans Sk8 Hi, or Vision Streetwear hi-tops if you can still get hold of them.

They are ok, but ill probably be returning mine. they are too uncomfortable. i could feel any object under my foot and the ankle was rubbed even with socks.
LETS JUST GET THINGS STRAIGHT:
they are NOT skate shoes.Chuck Talyor was a BASKETBALLER.They are BASKETBALL shoes. They are only associated with skating due to the "Jackass" team as the skaters and jonny knoxville wear them.

When i wear the Converse Chuck Taylor All Star skate shoes they blister the back and front of my feet if i walk far why is this. They are cool bring some attention to your attire. They could do with a little padding

I love these shoes, they have simple and good looking design and the most amazing is they always keep up with the new trend, nowadays are more fashionable than ever for more than 30years!!!
It ' 's a casual shoe not for skating or any other sport of course, good to wear in mid season...
Very lightwieght but somehow not the most comfortable around, merrell chamaleon are better.
Some people may say that are old fashion, or ugly, and others may say their cool...Everyone has their own opinion, personally i love them

First, I'm not going to rate chuck taylors as a skate shoe. They're not a skate shoe; they were originally made for basketball, and are now generally a casual, chill shoe, which is how I'll be reviewing them. I like the style of the shoes; simple and clean. Nothing fancy. I also like the canvas upper because you can clean it easy and keeps your feet cool. It's nice and comfortable, but they're isn't much arch support, which, after awhile, hurt my feet, but this may not bother others. Overall, I'd say chuck taylors are a good shoe at a good price, around $35 to $45. Just don't skate in them, please.

Converse Chuck Taylor All Star - If you want to injure your feet skating, then wear these. Just have an ambulance ready.

There is no padding at all and if you went to skate in the Converse Chuck Taylor All Stars your feet will be plastered in blisters!

Purchased my Converse Chuck Taylor All Star from Kohls on sale for $35, size 10.
Outer appereance is great, I chose the high top all black style. Good design, very simple, nothing that really stands out (which I like)
Inside, is a different story. There is virtually no padding on these shoes, so they rub on your feet mercilessly. Also, no padded sole, so don't expect a soft pillow-like feel when you walk. Also, because of the thin canvas-like material, these will not keep your feet safe from the elements. If it's cold/hot outside, your feet wil be either freezing/sweating as if you were just wearing socks with thick botoms.
Overall, I still really like my shoes. They hold up well, can take a beating, and still clean-up nice. Just wish they might include some thicker material/padding. Great price, decent shoes.

Converse shoes (in my opinion) are by no means skater shoes. However my pink and black special edition Converse are my favourite shoes I have ever owned. They dont fall off your feet, as with Converse it is acceptable and looks fine to tie the laces unlike with a lot of other trainers. If you like to change your style reguarly like me (from gothic to emo to grebby, funky, hippy and back) these shoes are perfect. One of my main problems with buying the shoes was that with so many different designs its hard to chose your favourite. I have found that places such as Italy and America seem to have more choice in design than England seems to have. In England it appears that Converse are limited to black, red, green, or pink fabric with white soles. However I have black PVC upper shoe and pink soles (bought in Italy) so I suggest taking a look at the Converse website to see the full extent of the choice(I believe you can order them on the website and get them shipped over). Converse shoes have the ability to make you want to collect different designs and colours to wear with different things, which is great for people who like me struggle to find shoes thats are comfy and fit as if Converse are as comfortable for you as they are for me then you can get different design (so different shoes) but you know they will fit amazingly.

I don't even know why Converse Chuck Taylor All Star shoes are on here. I've skated in them before. It's like skating in a flexible bowling shoe. I like the ugliness and uncomfortable ness. They actually work well for bombing down the street busting three flips and flip tricks in general. But I do not recommend them for skating unless you want to pay 80 bucks for something that you probably won't be able to skate in and rip within a few days.

First of all Converse Chuck Taylor should not even be mentioned as a sk8 shoe at all. Don't even think about it if you are beginning out as a sk8er and just need some shoe that will last long enough until you can Ollie pretty good. NO! HECK NO! They suck, we you start to Ollie the fabric starts to tear on the side. If you can kick flip, just a week or two will make your toe start to bleed, you know why? CAUSE THE TOP CAP IS MISSING FROM FLIPPING THE BOARD SO MUCH! The sole wears fast and when you make an impact on the ground after going off a 3 set it will hurt from not absorbing any shock from the impact. If you are going to buy Chuck Taylor's then just use them for walking.
