I bought my Aprilia sr50 di-tech last october and i think that they are good bikes, however when they breakdown it is a hassle.
the bikes are good if you want speed though ive put a new racing pipe, variator, clutch and carbon fibers reeds on it and it tops out at just under 70.
overall they are decent bikes to buy and i would recommend it if you dont mind paying out abit when they go wrong.

I've had my Aprilia SR 50 Street about 2 years now. It's pretty good scooter I can say, nothing bad about driving or handling. Compared to other 4-stroke scooters, Aprilia is much better. Handling is much better and acceleration is just amazing.

So, It uses the 49.38cc 2-stroke engine. Engine has changed very much in last years and my Aprilia really has the power. Driving in the forest or on the sand is not a problem, but my friend just stucks into the sand with his unknown scooter.

    Only prob ...

the aprilia sr50 is a very good bike,in the uk parts are easy to get hold (since i have a dealer down the road)handling is amazing, the bike is so easily modifiable, there reliable, there`s so much i could say about this bike, the only bad thing is especially with the fuel injected,is when they break down there a nightmare to fix,so a good piece of advice is if you own one is to service it regular.but overall it is a great looking scooter and the best thing is you can drive one at 16 ! with a cbt an ...

Every ride is a fun ride on the Aprilia SR 50 DiTech. Hit the curves! That's where the fun is at with this Aprilia. The bike is very smooth handling. I really became kind of addicted to curved tarmac because of the fun, stability and smoothness. Riding in the dark is a little tricky as the standard lights are quite dim. I guess I should replace them with a Xenon kit or use the lights from the SR 150 model. Although it's a sport-bike, it sure is comfortable and very easy to ride. With the 13" whe ...

I just bought an Aprilia SR 50 2008 carb? i had a sr50 2002 and it ws way faster take off at the lights.

the 2008 model is so slow. i think it because it has card and is not fuel injected - thats why it goes slow. its derestricted so does get up to bout 80 but man just sluggish t the lights

I've have a Yamaha Zuma 50cc for a year and still love it. My SR 50 is a 2009 and I've only had it for one month and it is fast enough to keep up with traffic around town and throughout Boston's city streets.

I bought mine on the 13th of January, and its been in the mechanics nearly 2 months, haven't had a chance to ride it for more than an hour before it broke.
The parts for my Aprilia SR 50 are expensive in my opinion, and there is always a possibility the mechanic can get it wrong. like i said, mines been in nearly 2 months, had a new piston, gasket, oil pump, fuel pump, n its still not running. all i want is to be able to use ma bday present :(

Aprilia SR 50 is brilliant, it hits 50 de-restricted/70 with and exhaust, a very good runner.
A very good bike, bought mine second hand not a mark on it. Although my start has broke it can be fixed
Very good handling and great digital display.

I've had my Aprilia SR 50 for almost a year now and still had no bad experiences with it. It is an 05 plate. I bought it for £950. best thing I ever bought. Definitely ideal for first buyers.

I found it runs like a dream, cheap to fill and also very nice looking however it's very slow to heat up.

Ive had my Aprilia SR50 on a "07" which is the factory model, with the spanish vinyls (red), since november 2008, Second hand it cost me £950 which i thought was a bargain, and as of yet, not had one fault with it! Handling is superb. Top speed of about 65mph if you put heavier rollers on it, mine at the minute are 7.5 which are good for acceleration and top speed. The only downside i would have to comment on is they do burn petrol quite quickly.. But cum on, 4 pound 25 (which fills it) is ...

I bought my Aprilia SR 50 on an "07", which is the factory model for £950 back in november 2008. Mine is the red colour with the spanish vinyls. It is an all rounder, from the looks, handling, acceleration, top speed.. its a real eye catcher. I have got the malossi rollers (7.5) and clutch springs on mine which are great for both acceleration and top speed. Beats most 50cc scooters in and around town hands down!. The only down side to the scooter is that I find it does burn petrol rather q ...

Maybe just me. Maybe the Aprilia SR 50 scooter itself. I may have a faulty scooter because everyone else has been having no problems at all but I paid $3500.00 for it and it's shut down 13 times in 2 weeks. I've had the battery recharged 8 times now and ive only ridden it 48 miles. The worst battery life I've ever seen. Bought factory sealed and battery lasted 30 hours. engine fails constantly and the whole thing feels very lose (part wise)
