Good Points: Brilliant little scooter for those new to the ways of the road, reliable, fuel efficient, uses very little oil, looks very funky and the fully digital dashboard is a cool bonus.
Bad Points: There's not much in the weather protection department because of lack of fairing, no helmet storage unless you have a D-link helmet and are willing to return to a very cold and wet helmet if it's been raining (though a top box solves this problem) and the little "glove" box cleverly concealed below the left handlebar isn't even big enough for one glove!
General comments: This Gilera ICE was my first bike so for that alone, I could never hate it. I owned it for a year before moving up to a geared 125 and in that time it never let me down once. I even took it touring a few times with no problems at all, the longest trip being an epic 500 mile journey to Land's End and back.
Scooters make mince meat of traffic, and this one's no exception. Filtering is a piece of cake on a machine this size. The only disadvantage is being a 50cc, it doesn't have a huge amount of power which can be a problem if you get into a sticky situation.
Overall it's a great scooter to ride, but a top box is an essential extra if you want to easily carry anything bigger than a packet of crisps.

I bought my first Gilera ICE four years ago, unfortunately it got stolen so I replace it for an identical one. It has never let me down though a few services were skipped !! My partner now also got one, and again no problems!
The bad news is that my second one just got stolen, two years later and (the new one is on it's way!!) so with no doubts I would recommend it to any one!

This Gilera ICE is the greatest moped available to people 16 years old.. when modified. I've heard of this bike hitting 150kmh+ :)I'd recommend this moped to everyone. They are very easy to self modify so boredom wont be the case :)

I bought my Gilera ICE scooter from new (ish - it was in storage for 3 years), and have ridden it for a year now. I have had a few problems with it i.e. The bodywork will change shape in the heat, and it is not quite as fit or as nice as it used to be. Also the carb randomly started leaking, and since then performance has slowly decreased to a mere 46 if lucky. BUT! having said that, it handles brilliantly, is so easy to ride. It's small, but not too small (I'm 6ft 2 and I sit on it pretty nicel ...

The Gilera ICE is and has always been a good reliable bike. No problems with it at all. Add a 70cc cylinder kit and expect to go to about 60 + mph. Every were I ride I get people walking by looking at me riding by Definitely attracts the girls. Everybody asks you questions about the bike. What more can I say.
