Good Points: Fresh, hard hitting, heavy classic.
Bad Points: can be repeatitive in places
General comments: Tired of talentless pop-punk bands, each playing the same 3 chord trick with the same bad lyrics sung in the terrible American accent. Ears bleeding with usless music on Kerrang.
SOil reach out with their album Scars, the heavy well rounded sound with some of the tightest riffs ever. This is a must hear. Anyone who has put Kerrang on would of heard Halo the single from Scars. The unforgettable opening drum beats followed the heavy guitar riffs and the grungy vocals, your in for a treat. Other songs include the fast, catchy Breaking Me Down and the menacing Black 7. They'll make a believer out of any metal fan.
however, it can be a bit repeatitive, take the intro to unreal, which is very similar to the one's intro. but with that in mind the're both kicking tracks.
With most metal today songs usally cover issues based on how much you hate the world and all in it. Thats where SOiL differ, they cover a range of issues in their music, from love to twisting from the inside.
A heavy album with some top class songs, each song is well craftted and preformed. The music's tight, crisp, heavy. A true classic.
