The Suzuki AP50 is a great bike cheap bike really really reliable passes mot every time fuel /petrol only 3 pound 20 to fill it up and will last you all week does 40mph on the flat without struggling at all would probably go faster on a good straight and mine has had no xtras on to[ pf it so if you did buy performance parts it would be even greater. There is not a lot of boot space for your helmet but apart from riding it, everything's fine. I have written this opinion based on my true statem ...

Bought a y reg ap50 for £35 and spent another £140 getting it ready for MOT It is a reliable scooter but is very slow compared to others. Mine only does 30 on flat land. Great acceleration. Do tecnigas systems work? Because I want to know if they are worth the money?

Excellent bike bought it about 5 months ago for collage and it gets me there with no problems, it is quick of the start and it is built very well and it has been a joy to ride it. Overall an excellent bike I recommend you getting one if your turning 16 and it isn't two fast mne does round about 43mph with no mod at the moment.

I have a 99 AP50 and its great, gets me to and from work and college no probs, i was tired of sticking to 35 mph, so i got a Technigas Sports exhaust which took it up to 45mph nicley and a polini variator, so it dosnt hold the traffic up as much! The bikes great for comuting but if you want a speed machine i would recomend some thing like a Honda X8R or Aprilia RS50, but still its a great bike and was a great buy!

Quite slow compared to other scooters I ride with. but it sould make it faster when a I put a technigas race pipe on. Also the design of the bike isnt te greatest, it seems to look dated. I would only recomend buying one of these scooters as a first scooter, as they dont cost much to buy, and get you from A to B easily.

I've had my AP50 for a year now and it has been reliable and got me round at 45mph well for a long time, very easy bike to start on and has done me proud.

The Suzuki AP50 is a great moped. Looks really nice. Does 35mph at the moment but I'm getting a perfomance exhaust soon so that should increase the speed a bit. Great on fuel, great handling, and a lovley bike to ride.

Ace little scoot, that with a couple of mods like a zx vines exhaust and a 21 mikuni,(about £150 new, less used). The handling inspires confidence, ypu only release the throttle from the pinned when you have to stop!Reliability is also very good, but flasher relays are '£96 from a dealer!Use hand signals instead!

The SUzuki AP50 is a great first time bike and a allover good ride. Where it lacks in looks it makes up in its crusing speed. I managed a top speed of 55mph on the A48 on a slight up hill.

Good acceleration. Slow to kick in and a low top end. The Suzuki AP50 is an OK bike if you spend a lot of money tuning it up with a 70cc kit. Exhaust, brembo brakes etc.

There are many good point of the AP50 but the most important one for me, is its brilliant reliabilty, alomh with its great fuel economy. It gets you from A to B in one piece! Thats why I rate it a humble sixout of ten.

Nearly everything on it has broke at some point, and my frame snapped in half so on the whole it's pretty poor. I find it very slow and expensive to buy.

The Suzuki AP50 is a great scooter for what it is, a good reliable 50cc scooter. It's good for traffic busting and getting round in towns so it does it's job, but does not over perform for what it is, it's not a speed machine and it's not something for going big distances down fast roads. Dare I say it if you do pass a full motorcycle test taking one of these on the motorway would be suicidal, although I would think that if you were to tune the engine from after market tuning and what not, then ...

I bought a Suzuki AP50 with an exhaust that had rusted through, and a good few thousand miles. However with a new exaust and a few new parts it looked as good as new. After passing my CBT there hasn't been a dull moment.

I bought a Suzuki AP50 2 months ago for my first bike and it is great, you can turn 90 degree corners at 33mph and not fall off. Because the acceleration is so good you have to do a lot of practice because it will just pull your arms off, mine did any way. I'd advise buy one. If you want to make the bike faster follow these steps: 1. Buy a Malossi sports variator - weighted rollers includes (40mph) 2. Buy a tecknigas next-r performance exhaust - 45mph 3. Buy a bore kit - take the bik ...
