I bought the scooter at the end of last year from a popular auction site from a local seller. I rode the bike home with no problems it kick started first time, and has done every time since. The electric start still doesn't work, I have replaced everything apart from the wiring. The bike is quite small I am over 6ft but my wife is only 5ft so we needed something we could both ride. I have a full motorcycle license but she can only legally ride the bike in its 50cc guise. I was a little… Read Full Review

I have had my jog for just over a year now (brought brand new) i was pleased with it for about three months then the Battery failed the speedo stopped working the rollers wore out and needed replacing it no longer pulls away fast and is in the garage again today as its broken down. Considering its only 14 months old its not a good ped. I think the Yamaha Dealer was annoyed when i asked if he would swap or Part exchange it for a peugeot speedfight coz they look better and go faster. Dont Buy one… Read Full Review

This was my first ever little moped and i loved it....The only problem i had with it was about 20 flat tyres and i smashed it up when i crashed into a wall lol.....other than that a perfect little run around I used to travel about 200 miles a week and I even moved house on the thing :o)
I would recommend a jog R to any new rider. cheap to run and insurance.

It is a wonderful city fighter. I bought it in 2 hand and it already had 9000 km. It is de-retricted and with every thing as it was out of dealer (didn't change anything) it gets around 60 kph to fast. I do thing, for 1 bike experience is to fast. It's easy to ride, light and it's a fun bike to ride in everyday situation… Read Full Review

this is an amazing bike i have brought it new and it doesnt have anything wrong with it and i have been riding it for months. Everyone says that the electric start doesnt work but you need to make sure that you have hold of one of the brakes as it tells the bike that it is about to be started. if you still have any problems send another review and then i will tell u what i know… Read Full Review

the yamaha jog is a brilliant scooter, a good work horse i must say! since brand new it has never let me down, had it de restricted 2 years ago and it flies, currently done 21,000 miles and still has loads of life in it. the only problem ive had was that it ate through spark plugs (which was down to the amount of milage it did all year round. otherwise i would recommend it to anyone who needs a reliable scooter for long journeys. Im going to keep mine for life!!!… Read Full Review

Have bought a Yamaha Jog R CS50 (air cooled) 2007 build in 2008... have around 7000 km on it. I use it mainly to commute to work in heavy traffic.
- Good starter bike
- Great accelerator
- Light, good in corners, small very good in traffic jams
- Very low top speed (restricted around 45 kph, de-restricted with an Aerox Exhaust and Pollini rollers + sports spring in variator + carb re-jetted + tires changed to all year tires - 65 kph on flat and 70 kph downhill… Read Full Review

The Yamaha Jog R is a great bike to ride around; so light it makes cornering easy, good economy and top acceleration. The bad points are basically the speed. with the standard exhaust i could only do 30mph (fair enough) i got it de-restricted by having the washer took out the variator and no difference. Bought a Technigas sports exhaust with rollers and still only does 30-35mph...Not the most reliable bike ever either, had the throttle lead snap on me and the starter motor break. Overall, not a… Read Full Review
