bought at 7000km now its done 22000 total, changed discs, maintained it ok as per haines manual, changed tyres... had one prob when the cooling fan plastic was dislodged, fixed it by putting it back, and wore out a candle. and a spider made a fluff nest in an air hole of the carburettor, and that's the only probs. this wrc has much better suspension than standard trekker. it's pretty awesome for a scooter… Read Full Review

Written on: 25/08/2011 by tuone_meiers (1 review written)

i dunno why it is called WRC maybe they have info about the comp somewhere. anyway i checked how many of these sweeties had done more than 20 000k, and on the classifieds website almost half of them were over 20k on sale, whereas only 4 of 140 aprilia rally on sale had done over 20k!!!! so i went for the trekker. i am going 300k to the sea with it. i recommend just cruising at 30kph if you go very far, an looking at the countryside!!! i got mine with 6000k for 550 pounds/600 euro, new looking… Read Full Review

Im still new to riding so this is my first bike and I love it. Mines the red coloured one and and I find the acceleration very good, well at least compared to my mates. I havent had it de-restricted but I get 45 out of it every time I ride it. Used it daily to travel to and from college (15 mile round trip) for the last 4 months and had no trouble since I sorted it out after the condition the last owner left it in. its done 17000KM and is still a great runner. Had my Peugoet Trekker for 2 years and has hardly ever let me down. Some issues with the automatic choke (replaced twice over the 2 years, both second hand replacements)... But the good thing is that its all mechanical, so no CDI issues to deal with. Parts are easy to come across and they hold value well. Quite rare also! Only ever seen 2 other Trekkers, none of my year and "off-road" styling. Always takes-off well at traffic lights if you like jumping the traffic, and also at speed for getting… Read Full Review

I am very happy with my Peugeot trekker, or TKR as it is sometimes known.
i was surprised, after not riding it for about a week, for it to start first time in -2 temperature conditions.
i have never had any electrical problems, the carburetor has had to be cleaned out once already (didn't cost because still under warranty) and I think it may need doing again as some power is noticeably lost on hills.
The speed is 50-55mph indicated however the real speed is about 40-45mph (tested on two… Read Full Review

Get nearly 60 (indicated) on my Peugeot Trekker 50 Off Road, which is good for a restricted scooter. Have a full bike licence but love riding this. £50 to buy, £60 to insure and a real buzz. Use this to commute when I can and it cost £5 a week compared to £50 a week in my Scooby. (Yup, I really own a Scooby).

I bought my Peugeot Trekker 50 from a brokers garage in October last year (2006) for £500 - it was already de-restricted (it does 45mph tops on a flat and I've got it up to about 52mph downhill) and was in very good condition for its age (just over 6 years old). It is still a very good runner now but has problems starting up on cold mornings. It's also a surprisingly comfortable bike.

I bought this 2nd scooter from a brokers garage for £500 as it was my first set of wheels - it's a fast little bike for a 50cc, is comfy and is a good all rounder. Devonshire lad here and I'm very proud that people love their bike as much as me! I have also heavily modded my bike and have so far hit the £3000 mark. I have just recently hit 96mph!!! Pretty good eh? If your ever about let me know, I'm well up for a burn out as i have destroyed anything local with my precious trekker. The sound system is pretty sweet to but has been mounted on a quick release system so I can hit the speeds and leave the sounds if necessary. If your intrested its for sale!!! Offers accepted but no time wasters please!

The Peugeot Trekker 50 Off Road is a good scooter overall, I use mine to get in and out of town, which is about 8 miles away. It gets me there in about 30 mins. The seat is very comfortable and causes no uncomfort at all. The scooter is very easy on petrol, near 70-90 mpg. However it can be hard on oil.
