    Good Points: Easy for parts and relatively simple to work on.
    Classic looking.
    Ideal around town due to god mpg.


    Bad Points: Noisy rattly engine, small seat.


    General comments: I am now on my 6th scooter having had 2 PX's a 150 and a 200 and several autos including the fantastic GT200. However i am now back on a 2001 Vespa model PX200. As much as i liked the GT for its reliability, comfort etc every time i went to rallies i just could not get away from the'Honda Melody'' stigma and as such have gone back to the classic noisy old but lovely looking 2 stroke which is the one people stop and look at.

    Easy to start and if you get a flat tyre easy to change no like rev and goes scooter.
    There both good scooters that you can use dailey as I do rain snow etc.

    Reliable bike, easily tuned (I have a Polini 207 and JL exhaust) also very simple to work on should anything go wrong.
    The PX200 is an excellent bike and rides well (far better than my previously owned lambrettas SX200 and SX150 )with good performance and reliability.

    I had 8 vespas or so over the past 15 years, Vespa PX 200 is one of my favourite models. It can be very easily tuned up, just get a 213 CCM Malossi kit, racing exhaust and a bigger carb jet and you are in business, for less than 400 bucks!

    Having only covered 260km's I am more than happy with my Piaggio Vespa PX200 Scooter. I decided to get back on a vespa again having owned a PX50 about 10 years ago. It was a mid 80' model with all the style but none of the finesse the current bike has. The new model now sports electric start as well as a convential kick start. It has front disc brakes as opposed to a front drum. The oil mixes with the fuel automatically, I now have two helmet hanging clips under the front of my seat as well as a ...
