This is the 3rd time we have stayed here . the staff are really good . very helpful . the young girl who cleaned our room also very good . the down side were all the moaners who were making the life of the staff very diffecut. what a shame . we saw one girl demanding chips when she would have been better having salad . i have never seen such gready people . getting plate after plate of food . we really miss the music we had at the small bar area which has now been taken over by slot machines! we love going to malta but due to now not been able to walk outside without the time share louts jumping out of cars and being very threateing to us on more than one occasicasin we will not be returning to st pauls bay and will try another place without these alful people in our face every few yards . i hope the malties people read this and work with the local police to remove them as if not peolple like us will vote with their feet .

We stayed at the seachells suncrest, malta, for one night,it was regrettably a big mistake. Our room was very damp, and musty. This hotel was run down, and staff very demoralised. We love malta, just not a shabby, dirty hotel Our daughter has asthma, which was under control, however after one evening,in this room, she was ill. The brochure shows pictures of a big pool, but its small, and was full of loud people, and it felt like butlins! pool surrounding area dirty, and a sharpe contrast to "the dolmen hote ...

When we booked (through Thomas Cook) we asked for a non smoking room as I am asthmatic. Agent said they would fax, when tickets picket up confirmed fax was sent. Had to wait for room which was NOT a NON smoking room. Complained and they offered to clean room next day - refused this, unless they stripped curtains etc. Were offered three other rooms - took the best. Food too spicey and had loads of sauces on it.

Overall it was a really enjoyable holiday. A nice place to be and with lots of nice people around. The shops were good and the bars that we went to all had English music in them which was very good to hear.
    I definitely would come again!

I will not recommend this hotel. It doesn't have the standard for a 4 stars hotel. Maybe 2 stars.

The Qawra Suncrest Hotel is a great hotel with fantastic staff and food. They have really good rooms with air con and fan 24/7. I had a fantastic holiday and will return to enjoy the experience again.

The Suncrest is great value for money. You could find better hotels in Malta but not at this price. We intend to stay at the Suncrest again.

I will more than likely be returning to the Suncrest in the near future.
I would like to add again, to keep the hotels good reputation, that maybe they could make the entertainment at night more varied.
Thank you for a wonderful stay in 2006

This was my first time to Malta so I didn't know what to expect. I thought the staff at the Qawra Suncrest Hotel were really nice and friendly. Also, there is a good night club in the hotel, which is on at the weekend. There are a few things like the lifts not working, and the gym and indoor pool which you have to go out of the hotel and down the road to get to. The food isn't really that nice, but if you ask, the staff will give you a menu with a different choice, plus, there's a pizza place ac ...

This was my first holiday in Malta, so didn't know what to expect and didn't read reviews until after my return home. Suncrest Hotel is in need of some refurbishment and repair. But the helpful and friendly staff were delightful. The food was plentiful and the menus varied if at times bland , however the restaurants were always full. The entertainment does leave a little to be desired, occasionally excellent, the house band. Overall however the hotel does provide value for money and a few tweaks ...

OK, let me start by saying that before I went to the suncrest, I read all the reviews on different web sites and was gutted. I tried to change my hotel with my tour operator, but luckily for me, most other hotels were full and I couldn't swap without paying a fortune.

On arrival at the hotel, the lobby area is lovely and the reception staff were very helpful and friendly. We were asked if we wanted to upgrade to a seaview room for an extra £130, but we declined and were given one anywa ...

Qawra Suncrest Hotel is a very busy hotel and there are a lot of function going on here, however the staff are superb, very helpful and courteous. It also includes good children amenities and kids club area next to bar.

Myself and my partner selected the Qawra Suncrest Hotel for our honeymoon.

We found the accommodation we stayed in to be of a high standard (as we expected, not the holiday you take every year), we found the place and staff to be everything we wanted and more!

We are both in our 20's and would return to this hotel again.

I would recommend this place to people looking for a more peaceful holiday.

    Sol Suncrest:
The food served in the main restaurant (La Pavillion) is dire. They have achieved the impossible in that they can make the food look much better than it actually is.
Apart from the impressive entrance / foyer area, this hotel is in need of total refurbishment.
The "Poseidon Room" function room is of decent size to accomodate a few sets for Scottish Country Dancing.
Sadly the seats provided are equally in need of refurbishment.
This was my first visit to Malta and I intend to r ...

I stayed the Qawra Sol Suncrest expecting it to be a very nice hotel as it was a 4* rating. The hotel was very old and in need of refurbishment. There was 6 lifts and they were all never in working order on a good day three would be working. The rooms were really dirty and were supposed to be cleaned each day but that never happened all they did was change the towels. The television in the room did not work so I complained and nothing was done about it. The food was awful as there was no variety ...

We were disappointed with the quality of the hotel it is badly in need of refurbishment. The staff were helpful and did put right what they could.
Although booked for Half Board we only ate in the restuarants on two of our seven nights.

I liked malta but the Sol Suncrest wasn't what we expected. Staff were helpful and food was good, but everything was old. Air Conditioner was as if non present. Roomswere dirty and the Pool too crowded. Even 3 star is very generous.
