Good Points: Flashing green light to indicate signal strength and strong vibration alert.. you can also use it as a massager but you have to keep ringing your mobile.. feels good.. keypad is easy to use.

Bad Points: Bit heavy.. but hey.. it's an old bugger like me.

General comments: The Ericsson T18s is a standard mobile phone with not many features. I just brought it in Australia for A$30 and haven't had the problem with battery yet. It's a mobile phone, strong signal, it's OK.

Things have moved on but back then it was bril and you couldn't have asked for a better thing. I liked the flip I just loved opening that and it looked all posh but it has aged a heck of a lot.

Had the Ericsson T18s for almost 3 years. Worked excellent all the time, except that i had to change the battery pack, due to extremely short standby time, less then 20 hours. (like 15 EUR cost after 2 years). Beginning to get a contact problem during charging, but as long as you make sure its connected properly, no problem.
Has been dropped several times from a man-height, without any problems. Has all the features that you could possibly need in a cellphone. Brilliant phone!

I have used an Ericsson T18s for 10 months.
It turns itself off after few seconds to few minutes from being turned on. (Just as other people pointed out on this review page).
The same is happenning on T10s as well. These were brand-new units (not second-hand or demo units) sold in Australia. I am now trying to contact with Ericsson and my service provider.
I liked the feature set of T18s so I rated it highly. Reception has been very good. I like its simple styling although I wished if i ...

Overall, i think the Ericsson T18s phone is pretty good although it has been around for a while it's still modern especially flip and ringing tones. I swopped my Nokia 5110 for this one as it is small and handy without fuss. I would recommend this phone and so far have had no problems with it!

I really like it as it's a good, honest phone. Unlike others that try to be trendy accessories it doesn't pretend to be anything other than a phone!
However, it has dated very quickly and doesn't really cut it anymore and can't match even the most basic Nokia. Texting is tricky but bearable. The battery doesn't fit snuggly so the phone switches off by itself sometimes but this is no big deal.
I've had mine 2 years and am about to change to the Sony Z7 - same style phone but 21st century techno ...

I borrowed an Ericsson T18 from work because i was annoyed with my trium mars hanging all of the time.
Fairly good phone, looked quite cool.

Buttons hard to press, made texting a pain.

I liked it till it started to turn itself off for no reason, this is something i know some friends have had problems with, with ericsson phones in general.

Wouldn't buy an ericsson at all :(
I'm going to give it 3 out of ten for being less stable than my trium!!!!

I had a PF768, which I owned for a year, which got stolen and my insurance replaced it with the T18.

When using it for the first time, the T18 started to switch off by itself and when it was on it switched off whenever I opened the flip! Even my PH768 didn't do that, although I got it replaced 5 times!

I would never recomend the T18, although it isn't being produced anymore. (Thank God)The T18 was and is a match for the Nokia phones, now and when it was first released.
    I replaced the T18 ...

The T18s is a heap of junk! Buttons need to be pressed several times before keypad responds, then several numbers show up at once! For SMS, the phone is a nightmare. Turns itself off for no apparent reason. SIM card becomes loose by itself (says "Insert Card"). It's only because this phone belongs to my company and not to me that it hasn't been smashed in a fit of anger/frustration before now. I will be changing it as soon as I am able to! My advice: DON'T BUY ONE!

This phone is nice. It just needs the message problems sorting out. I can only send x amount of text then the phone resorts to a foreign language.

Overall, not a bad phone. I've had one for around 6 months now and quite like it, except the hard button presses. I really like the active flip which means no more locking the keypad. It is also quite cheap, but I would say that Nokia's are better.

It is a good phone in some ways. Its not like a Nokia though. You cant read the picture messages like you can in SMS. Not much to do if your bored. If you have no money on your phone you'd be better off leaving it at home!

The battery life is fairly naff, lasts about 2 1/2 days if left on for 15 hours a day. The keypad is absolute rubbish, you have to press each letter/number really hard (a real pain when txting). Also the letters appear very slowly and seem to be constantly trying to keep up you as you type. And of course the flip - much as I like the design, the Ericsson flips just aren't built to last. My old Motorola 8800 still has a perfect flip, but the T18 just gets weaker with every use.

TO NOKIA 8210 FOR SMALLER PHONE AND IN GENERAL NOKIA IS BETTER COMPARED TO
ERICSSON AS HAD NOKIA 702 BEFORE BUT AS SAID EARLIER T18 IS WORTH THE MONEY
AS THEY ARE COMING DOWN IN PRICE ALL THE TIME OR ARE FREE
    AT SOME PLACES.

When using chatboard, it takes forever to catch-up. I've replaced the cover after almost one year of usage.
