Good Points: Nice picture.

Bad Points: Nobody can fix in town.

General comments: Had just over a year. The TV turns off by itself. Took to shop Dell will not work with repair shops so either you junk it or spend a lot of cash sending it to Dell. I cant believe a $899 TV can't be fixed at a TV shop in town. Do not buy a Dell LCD TV.

I have this TV/Monitor installed on my PC. When playing games the graphics quality is unbelievable. The screen performs best with a PC plugged in. It copes competently with fast-moving action - there are no motion trails here - and detail and clarity are respectable. Sound is punchy and loud enough for everyday TV, even if the set doesn't have Nicam. Has a great stand, simple to use click and slide motion which enabling the screen to turn through 180 degrees, as well as points upwards.

Dell LCD TV W1700 - The Dell screen is of a good, not great quality. Sound quality is fair from this size of screen. There is only one scart input, two composite video inputs and one composite output. Also included are P.C. inputs for analogue and digital.

My main use for this screen is as a T.V. and for the most part, it's good. It's also connected to a freeview box, DVD, and VCR, for the most part, picture quality is good, but there is some pixelation on DVD playback(Cambridge Audio Cables ...
