    Good Points: Long lasting solid toy
    Good musical tunes for the whole family to sing along to
    Batteries lasted longer than I expected


    Bad Points: Paint wears a little on the corners


    General comments: The Thomas Melody train has outlasted my children and their friends. An old favourite for my toddler children, it lasted the test of time, sticky fingers and tantrums. It was a favourite way beyond the age recommendation and it is was interactive to the point, my children felt they almost had a real "CD player". The tunes are old favourites that even the adults could sing along to. The saviour was the volume switch and the holder for the discs. To this day we have this toy still all in tact. It also has a switch that enables the train to go straight or in a circle, so every playing surface was accommodated. the paint wore a little on the edges, otherwise we or should I say my children were entertained for hours.

    I would have liked to be warned that Melody Thomas The Tank Engine will drive parents crackers as the music just plays and plays until you turn if off. Your children however will think this is a game and will turn it back on as soon as you touch it. Definately a toy for the grandparents house.
