“Never fly with American airlines!”

Don't ever fly with American airlines unless u want ur bags lost and ur flight delayed over and over. First of my bag got misplaced and they kept giving me the run around they shipped it across d usa then my flight got delayed not once but 2x. “They don't care to reply back”

I had the worst traveling expierence with American Airlines so I decided to write them since there was no other successful way to talk to customer complaints, they want you to write an email and file complaint, so I did that is March 2015 and never heard back from them, basically I got a message from them, do not use us as you airlines, and you can see that from reviews, basically de cause for their rude and unorganized structure I missed my meeting and was stacked in Tucson worried and nervous… Read Full Review

“wordt flight of my life”

“Worst service ever”

On April 26th, I arrived in Dallas, TX from Tucson, AZ. My plane was to leave at 8:15. I got to my gate (B35), checked the board to make sure I was correct and sat down. I got up to walk around and looked at the board again. It now said B20. I just sat down when a man said, they changed our gate again. I asked if he was going to Peoria, IL and he said yes. I never write bad reviews but I had an insanely bad experience with American Airlines. I am not at all surprised to see all of these poor reviews and low ratings. I have flown all over with many budget airlines and this is the absolute worst! Every aspect of my experience was exceptionally negative. They mistreat customers with disabilities. “Horrible customer service”

What is most annoying about the customer service is the inconsistency. In one airport they will let you take the bag and on another connecting flight they will stop you. I arrive to the airport 2.5 hours early to get checked in and possibly sit and have a bite. However, I was in line for 1.5 hours to get checked in and to top it off the flight was delayed. Then I get to the counter only to find out I won't make my next flight. They offer to set me up in a hotel which I agreed to only after I argued that I want a flight home today. AA cancelled my flight to LA via MIA due to weather at MIA, when I tried to reschedule they put me on the next flight out even though the weather was still bad and my connections were all missed and no other planes were leaving MIA that night. They had a non stop to LA but never considered putting me on it as stand by. “Always layover due to weather”

The other day I understood layovers, today the weather was fine. The pilot stated he had to wait on a terminal for 20 mins then we had to wait in hallway for luggage for 10 mins it was not a weather delay. I had to sleep in airport no accommodation's given. Earlier this year I went to Peru and was on a return flight home. We waited about half an hour for the luggage to come out but our luggage was not put on the flight with us so we had to wait an hour in line to fill out papers for our missing luggage this has happened before when I was on a return flight from Paris my luggage had also gotten lost. I will never again use American Airlines!!They will NOT notify you if your flight has been cancelled, and you will be forced to sit at the airport. I was stranded for 14 hours just after getting married. Delta will at least text you to let you know that your flight was cancelled. Sleeping on the floor in the Vegas airport was not fun!! “Almost let my Husband Die”

We were on vacation and my husband had a horrible accident and I needed to get him back to the US from overseas. It took me three hours on hold to reach AA and then they wouldn't let me change my ticket except to one day that was so close that I didn't think I could make the flight as I was on an island and had to take boats to the international airport. “Worst customer service I've ever experienced! ”

I am a Canadian citizen and was on my honeymoon in Mexico. We had to stop in Dallas for a connecting flight back to Canada. Our flight was canceled because the airport was not prepared for the weather conditions. We were forced to wait 6.5hrs in line to even get an answer as to how we could get home. I am an English citizen and have travelled to the Us on many occasions and to various other parts of the world using a myriad of airlines. I have never experienced such rude staff as AA.
They are arrogant and self serving, they seem to forget that its us as customers that keep the airline going and pay their salaries.

I have had similar encounters, the worst was "MIKEY" at LAX who tried to hide his name badge when I said I was going to complain.

The best employee of theirs I found was ROSITA at San Juan who understood customer relations. However she is a minority at AA.
