“Bad Business”

I recently had 2 terrible experiences with American Airlines. I booked a non-stop flight NY to Nashville at 9:30am. I did all the right things and got to the terminal 30 minutes before boarding. Once on the plane, I was asked to leave the plane because there is too much weight on the plane. Can't make this up. The best they could do for me was a 6:30 flight to Chicago and a 1 hour layover which got me into Nashville after 10:00. I missed the reunion party. Oh it gets better. I received… Read Full Review

“Bathroom smell bad”

“Greyhound has better planes and service to Europe ”

I normally fly B.A. To Europe and have flown all classes of service long and short haul....... I don't even want to waist my time on commenting on flight services and how old my planes were on my last trip from Lisbon to Los Angeles via Philadelphia. There wasn't even a inflight movie service...... I have flown on all classes of airlines . As Americans we expect better standards....... “Unfriendly Service”

Unfortunately my UE flights got postponed and I was placed on an AA flight from San Francisco to Trinidad. Prior flight from Singapore. I had to pay for checked bags which was suppose to be free coming from the other airline. But the worst was when I asked for a blanket. I was told that it was ONLY for firstclass flyers. “Do NOT book flights here!!”

This is by far the worst airline I've dealt with. I am an AA credit card holder so I TRY to fly with them often. I would fly with them even more if my booking actually went thru. Online services is always down, which leads you to pay more by the time it's back up. “Immoral company who do not care about their customers.”

A 45 minute delay due to weather conditions then turned into a 30 hour delay as no flight crew were then available. AA accept no responsibility for this. We lost 1 and a half days of our lives and spent 30 hours in airport lounges with inadequate meal vouchers. Truly a journey from hell with 3 young children. AA do not offer compensation for loss of earnings, additional costs incurred and so we are hundreds of pounds out of pocket. There response to our complaint was instant and dismissive. “Dated service”

I'll give AA 1 star as they did get me to my destination. Other than that they appear to be stuck in the 80's, with their old style planes on an international run I had from the UK to JFK. Instead of having head rest TV's they had those stuck in the isles that pumped out something I could hardly see as the resolution was that low quality. For a 7 hour flight that's pretty rubbish. I purchased a ticket for my fiancé to join me in my hometown to go on my niece's first ever camping trip. I was already in town and was going to pick him up late last night so we could drive the 5hrs in the early morning. “Worst Airline Ever ”

My first (and last) experience with AA was a nightmare. Will never use them again. Their employees are sadistic a-holes. They have nothing but contempt for the customer. They also ripped me off by charging me extra for an upgraded seat and put me in a crappy middle seat. They also damaged my luggage, and smashed one of them so hard it shattered the mirror of an irreplaceable treasure. Same experience! I have flown my whole life and never experience what I did this week. Always have flown USAir and some Delta. But since American bought out usairways. The whole quality has hit rock bottom. I guess less competition they can do as they please. Never have I seen as much destruction to luggage. It literally looked as though I stood on top of plane dropped to the ground and then drug it down the runway. They had no many complaint claims the system froze up. My clothes were hanging out because my luggage was busted open all over. The whole bottom and sides never have I ever. It wasn't isolated because my husbands same way. They literally had to give us luggage to put our stuff in because we couldn't get it to the cars to go home. We were not the only ones either. At least our luggage got there some peoples never came at all. Just sickened by the whole experience. But they know they got us if we want to fly anywhere because there is basically no competition. I could go on and on with a whole list of many other things. I usually let it go but this is beyond what I expect to be normal flying.

“False Claims online”

When I booked my flight from Chicago to Dallas and got to the seat assignment screen, I found that all the seats have extra price to select, with the exception of couple middle seats by the bathrooms or the galley. I chose their main cabin extra and paid the $180 when they claimed that we will get priority boarding. “Poor overall services”

My wife and I used this airline to go to Panama leaving NY on July 8th 2016 and returning July 15th 2016. I must say that both ways there were extensive delays in departure once on the plane. We were not given any information as to why there were delays. The staff servicing the passengers were good but they did not have any answers as well. leaving Panama we were waiting by the gate 2 hours early and at some point we were asked to all step out of the gate area and had to be rescreened again… Read Full Review

Booked flight to Mexico ( first class ) on a Friday, half hour before the flight they announced flight would be delayed 2 hours because flight crew didn't get enough sleep. Then another announcement if you have a connecting flight it will be missed. Then still another announcement giving an 800 number to call to make other arrangements. “American Airlines doesn't deliver on Platinum flyer order ”

As a platinum status flyer with American Airlines they are my #1 choice for business and personal flights. I scheduled a vacation to Hawaii with a companion to purchase a first class upgrade for both of us using miles and the additional costs.
