“Poor overall services”

My wife and I used this airline to go to Panama leaving NY on July 8th 2016 and returning July 15th 2016. I must say that both ways there were extensive delays in departure once on the plane. We were not given any information as to why there were delays. The staff servicing the passengers were good but they did not have any answers as well. leaving Panama we were waiting by the gate 2 hours early and at some point we were asked to all step out of the gate area and had to be rescreened again… Read Full Review

“Any airline but american”

Booked flight to Mexico ( first class ) on a Friday, half hour before the flight they announced flight would be delayed 2 hours because flight crew didn't get enough sleep. Then another announcement if you have a connecting flight it will be missed. Then still another announcement giving an 800 number to call to make other arrangements. “American Airlines doesn't deliver on Platinum flyer order ”

As a platinum status flyer with American Airlines they are my #1 choice for business and personal flights. I scheduled a vacation to Hawaii with a companion to purchase a first class upgrade for both of us using miles and the additional costs. I called twice to confirm that all was in order since our flights originate in 2 separate cities meeting together for the connection flight to Hawaii. All was confirmed...TWICE! “Worst time of my life”

I booked a flight to Roswell New Mexico for my son and I for his birthday. I planned this trip 6 months in advance and paid for our airline tickets. “Snarky with a Smile. ”

Unfortunately this was my one and done with AA. Flight attendants for this airline on our way home from San Diego then connecting flight to Cleve from Chicago were BOTH horrible! Rude to every passenger that they came into contact with no matter what the situation. Tasteless classless women behaving in a way as if they were actually trying to provoke trouble. “COMPLETE SHAME OF AN AIRLINE”

Everything about this airline is terrible. My mother, aunt and grana flew to California for my aunts funeral. Not a pleasure trip. “Totally rude, ignorant and selfish behavior in AA...”

Will never travel with AA again. Extremely rude and unprofessional customer service in boarding desk. My wife, 13 years old daughter , 10 years old son and I were traveling from Barcelona to Philadelphia then from there to Los Angeles. My son was due to get married in Philladelphia on 05/08/16 and we booked our flights on 09/01/16 unfortunately my husband was diagnosed with Cancer on 12/01/16 and the wedding was transferred to Ireland on 01/6/16 so therefore I sent an email to American Airlines to request a refund of our tickets to say that they were helpful and prompt in every email I sent is an understatement!!! they made our refund without having to go through the usual hassle you get when trying to get a situation sorted… Read Full Review

I had a similar experience with the woman checking boarding passes in Pheonix. The woman, my bag out of my hand saying I had to check it when it hadn't been a problem on any of the previous connection flights. When I got upset she threatened to kick me off the plane. It was a 1:15 AM connecting flight. She did the same to multiple other passenger. I had $1,000 of nice dresses in the bag but would have put it in my main suitcase had I known. Worst flight experience ever. I will not be flying AA ever again!

“American Airlines service is pathetic!”

Oh American Airlines. Service is below PATHETIC. I missed my grandmothers funeral due to their service. My flight was delayed TWICE in one night then ultimately cancelled. No notification was given to me whatsoever after the first delay. On top of that I called for a refund of my ticket. The representative told me I would receive a FULL refund, but I only got a refund for $76. I can PROMISE you that my ticket was NOT $76. nowhere near $76. Es patetico,si,el servicio de American Airlines es lo peor que existe,el comfort de los pasajeros no importa,no importa informar la verdadera razon de un retraso,la verdadera causa de que un vuelo no este listo.
Cuatro dias de vacaciones tenia mi madre,ha empleado dos de ellos para llegar a su destino,Houston.Quien compensa los dos dias que perdio_ quien se disculpa por el maltrato ,por la desinformacion,por las mentiras y la manipulacionde las mentiras cada vez que cancelaron su vuelo. Nadie. Por supuesto que sera la uiltima vez que un miembro de mi familia viaje en American Airlines......

Early in the morning, I started my journey on flight 118 from LAX to JFK. It is a five hours flight.This was on Sunday the 22 of May.I was the seat 17F. Let me start by saying I am a gold club member of aadvantage and have an admirals club membership due to frequent business travel. That said, I am fed up with the constant lies from American Airlines when it comes to flight delays. They do not value our time. They persist in posting flight times that are very much out of line with actual delays. “Bad food served international flight.”

American Airlines flight aa721 from Rome to Charlotte served food so bad I don't think my dog could have eaten it. It was a dish of curried rice with spinach, no alternate meal was left by the time they got me us. The last "snack" was a pizza roll that was so greezy it was nauseous. “Cancelled our flight and left us in the dust”

We had a scheduled flight out of Leon Mexico at 7 AM. At 2 AM I get an email alert from Orbitz saying that our flight got cancelled. We got to the airport as soon as we could to make sure we could get on the next flight to Dallas. I looked up tickets and they had tickets available for the 12:00 pm flight. When we were at the counter they wouldn't even offer that flight to us. Rude customer service. They wouldn't let us check our bags in until hours later. “Crew needs some training from BA”

The crew could do with some training in customer relations from British Airways. They seemed to have a 'couldn't care less' attitude, did not make one feel welcome and do not appear to value their passengers. The absence of a more youthful enthusiastic and dynamic crew would probably go a long way to solving this. “Lost baggage”

Airlines lost my sons bag for 3 months. They told us to purchase essentials, which we did. Mind you the bag was lost for 3 months. They made a decision what was needed and what was not. “The WORST airline ”

Due to technical issues on our flight, we missed our connection flight in Dallas to Knoxville.
