I fly every week on various airlines on the West Coast so I am familiar with air travel. I say this for a reason: I booked my flight from Dallas to Seattle with my wife and one kid a month in advance. We had booked 3 seats in a row for the sake of our 4 year old. On arrival to the airport, AA had changed the seats so that now we were sitting separately. The rep at the Dallas airport at check-in guided me to the e-ticket counter. I told him I wanted to talk to the the agent at the counter as my s ...

I was shocked when I saw the prices for a round-trip flight to Honduras ($250), and so I jumped at the chance to visit my family. The flights weren't too long, but the seats are small, so they made the flights a bit uncomfortable. But that didn't really bother me. What did bother me was the incredibly rude stewardess on my flight back from Honduras to Miami. Literally 15 minutes before the plane landed at MIA, the woman decided that I needed to put my bag in the compartment above my seat. I coul ...

We recently traveled to Europe on American Airlines and words can not fully express the fiasco we endured and their blatant apathy and despicable customer care before, during and after our flight. Following is an excerpt from one of three letters I composed which were answered with lame excuses followed by a telephone call by a customer service representative who tried at every turn to blame us for our trouble and hung up on me when I told her she should be ashamed of herself and the company she ...

Me and my friend were flying from Houston to Peoria via Dallas for some urgent work to peoria on 16October 2009, but the AA flight got delayed from Houston so we asked the AA assosiates to provide another to peoria or some other connection to dallas so that we can reach peoria as it is urgent but they said we are flying in 15 minutes and we will not miss our connection, we repaeated our request several times but they always said few minutes and finally we missed our connection and we were not ab ...

I was in number 6 check in group. By the time I got on board the flight attendants were screaming that no one else could bring on carry on luggage. I, like an idiot, had CHECKED my luggage at $20. The luggage PENALTY was included when fuel prices shot up a year or so ago. Prices came down the American Airlines has NOT removed luggage PENALTY, or are likely to any time soon.
All the overhead bins were full, up to first class. The ones left had their stuff taken DOWN BELOW, I assume to be put ...

American Airlines - the Easy Jet of America!!!
Absolutely awful, no seat back entertainment, no free alcoholic drinks, very uncomfortable seats, the oldest stewards I have every seen and the grumpiest
No food on the 4 hour flight from Chicago to LAX apart from snacks you had to buy
    Never, ever again

Firstly, the flight was hurrendous, i mean $5 for a soft drink and $6 for a bag of nuts!? I mean we're in a rescession, but it not that extreme! I hate and hated everything about the airline, the food looked like roadkill, the stewardesses were mean, glum and rude. I came out of the toilet during turbulence, and they were practically screaming at me to go back to my seat. The seats were ACTUALLY covered in dirty blankets, and my sisters' wait for it, a dirty meatball! wtf? I will never fly with ...

The staff were surly, both on ground at JFK and on board. My seat back would not recline, the in-flight entertainment system didn't work, the food was dry and disgusting, and they wanted $5 for a glass of wine. All in all, the worst flight I've ever taken, and I've sworn never to fly American Airlines again.

My husband and I booked a trip to Antigua for our honeymoon. As part of our travel package, we ended up flying on American Airlines which turned out to be a horrendous experience. Our departing flight from SFO to JFK was delayed, which put us into JFK late for our connecting flight. The connecting flight was also delayed so it turns out we made our second flight. The flight to Antigua from Puerto Rico was just plain cancelled so we had to scramble and get on a different flight which arrived ...

I am a missionary who works in Asia. Travel alots. First time got AA airlines on July 8/2009 and found it was the WORSE airline that I have ever experienced. If the staffs haven't been well trained to deal with customers gently, AA will loose many travellers even their prices sometimes cheaper than other airlines. Never take again and never recommend to a friend!

So my wife and I flew to Maui for a second honeymoon. Who cares about the flight, you're going to Maui!!! We get home, and I want to use the miles that we've accumulated (just over 21,000 between the two of us) to go visit my friend that's getting married in less than a year.

Since American Airlines doesn't have family plans, I had to open up separate accounts for my wife and I to earn the miles. When trying to transfer miles from her account to my account, I'm told that I need to pay a $140 ...

The only airline I really trust is american airlines. I have always had excellent service, friendly staff and on time. I had a trip out of the country recently and received a call on my cell phone about a slight change in connection location, but still same times (Actually even better because less time during lay over).

My husband & I booked a trip to Phoenix on American Airlines. Two wks after I booked, AA emailed with a flight change. Ok it happens. Then the night before our flight ,AA called and changed it once again. Ok so by the time we arrived in Phoenix, we had lost almost 1 day due to AA. Our trip back from Phoenix was a nightmare. Due to AA's fault we were going to miss our connection in Dallas, therefore they rebooked us on the next flight out the next day. Ok we also accepted that. AA gave us (for 2 ...

I have heard about the poor customer service that American Airlines provides but I experienced it myself first hand flying from Miami to Boston. While waiting in line to check in behind approx. 12 other people, the line moved so slowly we thought we might miss our flight. When we finally were next in line, a new baggage check in rep told us we were not in a line but an exit, we protested but she made it appear that I was lying. Other passengers in other lines confirmed what we were saying but ...

American Airlines are incompetent and sarcastic. They could care less about your experience or the fact that they lost an entire flights luggage. One poor women can't even get her crutches to walk and they could care less. I will not ever use American Airlines again and will tell anyone i know the same! They should not be in business!!! I would have loved to know that their customer service department doesn't even care

I recently took a trip on american airline from little rock to san jose with a connecting flight from dallas fort worth. I booked this flight 1 month on advance. First I get an email from american airline stating that my returning lay over in dallas was extended from 1.5hrs to 2.5hrs. The day
of my trip in the first airpot, american was late by 1.5hrs meaning I was pressed for time getting to my connect flight to san jose. I almost missed this plane because I had never been to Dallas airport an ...
