I hate it when my work books me with American Air. I can never get a straight answer to anything. All the employees say is to go to the website and refuse to help with even the simplest task. They are lazy and don't want to do anything. It's not even worth attempting to call someone to get help because you will never get through. Multiple times I have had the options of putting my phone number in for them to call back which they never do. I would pay $ not to ever fly with these guys again… Read Full Review

“Worst airline in existence! ”

Horrible airline! Will never fly with them again. I had a direct flight from Memphis to Miami and by bags were sent to Dallas. I've been waiting over 24 hours for them to notify me if they actually have my bag and if it is being delivered to my location. I've been on the phone with customer service several times and each time I receive a different response. “Typical AA experience ”

Out of desperation had to book a last minute flight that included not only AA but even worse US Air connection ... What a nightmare and " poop" sandwich.... “WHAT A DISASTER!!!”

On November 22, my wife and I flew from Houston to Roatan, Honduras, with a one hour layover in Miami, Florida. When we arrived in Roatan, our luggage wasn't on the plane. We are both scuba divers and these were our dive bags, so we were pretty much at a loss. We also noticed other passengers from Miami, to Roatan had their bags lost, too. “Flying isn't what it used to be”

This is my second flight on American. Round trip from Atlanta to Chicago O'hare. Out of Atlanta my flight was delayed twice for "maintenance", an hour and half. Now I'm at O'hare and this first delay is an hour. When I was checking my bag, the counter agent near me me said the F word loud enough for me to hear 7 feet away. “Unaccompanied Minors”

AA has no system in place for handling unaccompanied minors. They charge $150 plus tax for a non existent service (up 50% from $100 less 9 months earlier). If your child needs to get to a connecting flight, he or she will either be passed off to several angry employees in an attempt to transfer this responsibility or will be completely ignored and left to his or her own devices for making the connecting flight. “Bad flight attendant ”

Sometime last year I had a tough day at the hospital with my disabled son we flew home. My son was a little grumpy on the plane and I tried what I could to calm him down. “Mother with Baby”

Required to gate-check my carry on bag because there was not space, then saw that the overhead bins were 1/3 empty, asked to get my bag back to throw it up there, told no, get in your seat, then accused of cursing at the steward (totally ridiculous since he did not hear that, it was another stewardess BEHIND me that heard it (how does that WORK?)) “The absolute WORST customer service experience of my...”

American Airlines has the most pathetically despicable customer service in the history of mankind. It took me more than 2 hours to book a flight from Boston to Key West - the web site completely crashed after I went through every screen - technical difficulties. Then I went though 3 different customer service people, more than an hour on the phone. “No help when flights were missed because of delay ”

I flew with american airlines from dayton ohio to chicago ohare and we set on the plane in a holding area for almost 45 minutes because there were no gates open. I finally got off the plane and got my bag because we had to valet them and when i got to my gate where my next flight was at 856 pm and it was going to take off at 905 they wouldnt let me on the plane to catch my flight. the next flight out wasnt until 6 am in the morning so i needed to stay the night in chicago. I was traveling to see my brother who is undergoing chemotherapy, when they changed his chemotherapy schedule, he wanted me to change my filght to better suit his condition, he is so sick the first three or four days he did not think I should travel all the way to Alaska until he started to feel better ( he's always thinking of other people ) so I called AA to reschedule my trip and ask if they could under the circumstances waive the reschedluing fee.
