Good Points: New Original idea of 4 championship seasons.
Really, authentic sounds, Strangely Addictive once you get going.

Bad Points: Very strange twitchy graphics, slow frame rate, hard to get used to.

General comments: Formula 1 Career Challenge was a game I was not sure about purchasing, but in the end I did when it was on special.

It puts you straight into the drivers seat, and sends you out on a driving adventure you will never forget. It is very hard to beat in exitement level by other games standards.

I am an F1 fanatic as it is, and so this game means much more to me, as I get to create myself as a profesional driver (although I think I am in real life anyway...) and go head to head against all of my driving heroes.

You start of in the Career mode by taking tests in which you must pass to obtain your racing superlicense. These may take a few attempts and a few curses as you fail by a hundreth of a second, but some of them are really simple.

Once you have passed, you are given job offers from different teams. The better you did in the tests, the better the teams. You then start on your road to the world championship. At first the game is really hard and you will find yourself stuck near the tail end of the field, or muddled up in a pile of mid-pack runners. But if you keep up the good work, and get the odd podium or front row qualifying position, you may just get ask to join a higher team...

I started off driving a Sauber and got my first podium, in Monaco (Which was strangely easy) and then got my first victory in Silverstone (my debute race for Williams) and went on to win many more in just that 1st season...

The fun feature is that there is a graph that rates your performance through your career and shows the ups and downs of your good and bad luck. Some strange things pop up such as when I won at The Hungaroring and then came Second at Spa, my team was disapointed.... (hmmm)

Anyway, all in all a great game and worth the money. If you are an F1 fanatic, buy this game...NOW!
