Can you board horses there and if you can, how much would it be. I also want to know if you have to pay to work there or could you work there to pay for the boarding of your horse. Stamford is a very good riding school and I wonder if you can board your own horses there

I work at Stamford Riding Stables myself and i've been there for years! I think this is a perfect place for people to ride. The horses are wonderful to learn on (a few sharper than others, but perfect for experienced riders). The yard is clean, beds clean, horses looked after well. Personally, i really enjoy working for Sue and Trefor.
It's easy accessible, with bus stops around and a train station less than a mile away.
The paddock isn't very big, but still ridable.
The horses are exercised near enough every day, making them very safe.
In summer, the riders have a chance to ride horses out on the roads/bridlepaths for 'hacks'.
The price is also very reasonable for what we do and kids love it.
All the girls we have are wonderful and speak in a good manner and are wonderful with the kids.
I would recommend this riding school to anyone, even adults! It's a great place and truly deserves this review!
Thank you for reading!

Hi it's Ciara again, i would recommend this to all my friends and family. it's close to where i live and is easy to find. All the people there are nice and well mannered towards everyone. There are wonderful horses that suit any age, height, weight and experience. The only thing i find wrong with it is the paddock is quite small but does not restrict your riding or your skills. I started when i was 7 and have love all of it, i also started working there when i was 9, i enjoy it very much. My sister has also started riding because i non stop say how good it is, she also loves it !!! Iv'e made lots of great friends that i will knoe forever. It's a wonderfull place to learn how to ride and to do Stable Management. Thanks please rate and comment bye !!! x :) Ciara x LOVE U CRISTA !!! XXX

Most of the staff was nice apart from 2 people that NOBODY likes and they are still there.Good place to lear to ride small menage though but it just shows you that no matter how small of a menage you ride in it makes no diffence to your riding.Which is true because i started there for my 5th birthday and i am now 13 i left when i was 10 and moved to croft end but now people pay me to ride there horses so thanks stanford for helping me learn to ride.

I have been riding there for the past 6 years now and my knowledge has gone from not knowing a thing about horse riding to me being a interminate/advanced rider. This is the only riding school I have ever ridden at and I found the staff brilliant to have teach me and the horses are great to suit all abilities!

I have been having private lessons at Stamford Riding School for about a month now, I felt like I needed to work on my position and so would benifit from a private lesson. My first impression is that the Man ge was very small and wondered if you could canter in such a small space.
The first lesson I had was ok, we practiced all paces (although my horse wasnt very keen on cantering), did 10 and 20 metre circles and changing the reign etc. I did feel that the instructor was missing mistakes that I was making, for example I have a tendency to rise my legs up instead of stretching down in trot and canter. I still sometimes think the instructor doesn't point out some mistakes that I make, maybe its because I go to another riding school at weekend where they are quite strict and will point something out if you are doing it wrong.
They offer equtation and stable management courses, and the price is quite reasonable. The staff are very friendly.
