Good Points: Good horses, some challenging-others more willing. friendly staff and a clean yard.
Bad Points: Small arena. prices a bit steep.
General comments: I have been riding there for the past 6 years now and my knowledge has gone from not knowing a thing about horse riding to me being a interminate/advanced rider. This is the only riding school I have ever ridden at and I found the staff brilliant to have teach me and the horses are great to suit all abilities!

I have been having private lessons at Stamford Riding School for about a month now, I felt like I needed to work on my position and so would benifit from a private lesson. My first impression is that the Man ge was very small and wondered if you could canter in such a small space.
The first lesson I had was ok, we practiced all paces (although my horse wasnt very keen on cantering), did 10 and 20 metre circles and changing the reign etc. I did feel that the instructor was missing mistakes ...
