Unbelievably bad customer service. Rude, officious, inflexible and arrogate ... I could go on. End results was I cancelled my order. Whilst it may have been marginally cheaper to order from here - the time wasted in trying to resolve has cost far more than i saved.

I bought a torch for my father-in-law back in April (7 months ago). It arrived a few days after the stated delivery date, but I was happy with the torch.

Then a few days ago received an confusing email, so I contacted them. I was told they had started court proceedings for not paying for goods & I must pay for the goods & court fees. There was an error with their system & they did not debit my card at the time of purchase.

I said I would happily pay for the goods immediately - but they wante ...

I was a little hesitant to order from tooled-up.com after reading some of the negative comments posted here, however they were the cheapest around for the safe that I was looking for (£80 cheaper) and did have it in stock.

I phoned them first and confirmed stock availability and delivery. I then placed my order online and also ordered a home tool kit and hammer at the same time (things which I had been needing for some time, but had never got round to purchasing). Their website estimated ...

Tooled-Up didn't send out an item satisfactorily, missing a part. they didn't seem to take this seriously, no urgency to help me. it was as if it was my fault and i was the one causing the problems. as my emails and phone calls became incrasingly more annoyed and irritated, they made no effort to placate me or keep my custom. they almost seemed happy when i cancelled the order in the end

Very Very VERY poor customer service a bought a makita brushcutter/line cutter. when it arrived it did not have the line head. I phoned Tooled-up they said it was wrongly descibed and makita do not make a line head and they could only offer me a refund. I then researched it on the internet and found that you could get a line head. I phoned them back and they said that they don't provide it so I asked for £20 off so that I could buy the line head myself they were just rude and no concept o ...

I ordered a glue gun together with glue sticks on 31st December based on the information on their web page for the price and the availability. After a week or so (delay was understandable due to holiday season) only glue sticks were delivered with a notice saying that there was no stock for the glue gun and it would be available around 17th. Yesterday, there was a second e-mail notice for no stock for the glue gun, this time saying it would be available around 29th or so.So there would be a one-m ...

I was greeted by a seemingly abrupt and rude assistant who appeared to have no grasp of the ethos of good customer service and I felt they made absolutely no attempt what so ever to offer any assistance with my product query. Had I phoned them before submitting my order online I would never have purchased through this firm.

The product that I have ordered is yet to arrive so I am unable to make a judgement on the product itself or the delivery service.
Nevertheless, the experience that I was ...

I bought a lawnmower from Tooled Up last summer, when my Flymo burnt itself out. Everything went as planned, and I thought they were quite good. Not so...

I've just ordered a Leaf Blower/Vaccuum for my Dad's birthday, which was ordered on Thursday with 48 hour dispatch. I am still waiting for dispatch on Monday evening, so I emailed them. I was told that 48 hour dispatch meant that the item was dispatched in 48 hours, not delivery. I explained that I knew the meaning of the word and that it ...

Neglected to send a confirmation email after order was placed (the email address I gave them was accurate). My account online also showed no orders awaiting despatch. Tried to cancel order as was told it would take 5 days despite being told there was a 48hour turnaround on item. Next day received email to say couldn't cancel as it was sent out that morning.
Wanted to return item after pathetic customer service but was going to have to pay postage.

I suggest that you Avoid This Site! ...

This must be about the only company on the internet that requires only one click on the 'confirm order' box. To do otherwise e.g. double click (which let's face it, is not uncommon when working on a computer), will result in you being charged and sent the same item however many times you click on the mouse. This is so, even though you have only completed one order form and specified the quantity required as one. When you contact them, they will say it was your fault for clicking too much and by ...
