After a totel mess of an order with a competitir I decided to use Tooled-up. They were slightly more expensive but a pleasure from placing the order to final delivery. You could clearly see the product on the website and after ordering you are constantly aprised of the order and when it will be delivered. I have had no experience with their issues but can honestly say their customer service has been tops for me with my order. (read more)

I purchased a strimmer in November. After paying days later I am informed it is out of stock. I bought a strimmer from somewhere else. In January I am told it is being delivered. a) I don't want the strimmer and b) I have to pay a total of £16 in shipping costs to receive and return the strimmer. I guess the small print referred to shipping when in stock but Tooled up should have a sent a notification it was back in stock not a shipment notification. Their terms and conditions say that... Tooled-up have a product review facility for items that they sell. I wrote a lengthy review regarding a product and it was less than complimentarty. This wasn't a reflection on Tool-up as a company but on the manufacturer of the item. My review wa balanced fair and not rude or contencious in any way other than I wouldn't reccomend that anyone buy the product. To this day Tooled-up have not published the review. It would appear on looking at the reviews they do publish that if they are... (read more)

I ordered a bosch Hedge cutter 54-20LI at a very good price. Tooled-up emailed me with the delivery date and I was even able to track the time of the day for the delivery. The Hedge cutter arrived on time. The best company I have dealt with. The hedge cutter is fantastic and I should know because I have tried a few. I would recommend them to family and friends. As a mobility impaired customer I regularly shop on the internet and usually am very happy. On this occasion I placed an order with Tooled Up. Maybe I missread it and it was fooled up - cos thats how I feel. After 6 days tried unsuccessfully to track my order via their website and had to phone, whereupon I was told my order should be dispatched today. Don't use this company - they are a dodgy internet outfit. If you get a fault with the goods after 30 days they will refuse to refund or exchange (even though the Sales of Goods Act requires them to) and will force you to go back to the manufacturer. I had only used the item once(Bosch Drill) and it was only 6 weeks since I purhcased the item. I had to go back to my credit card company to get a refund. (read more)

Ordered goods based upon their website saying same day dispatch with next day delivery. Goods took a full week to arrive. I sent numerous e-mails to this company and also filled in their online contact forms, so far no answers or replies have been recieved.

Dodgy company. Only looked up the feedback when I hit problems. They completely cocked up my credit card details, delivery & billing addresses, failed to answer their (premium rate) helpline after automatically redirecting the call, emails from 2 different people not communicating at their end etc etc. A shockingly poor experience and a total waste of time. If you are considering buying from this company, think again there are far more reliable companies out there. Seems from the reviews that this company is very mixed up in how it handles customers, sometimes good but when it goes wrong they are awful. Unfortunately I am in the latter section. This review is inaccurate and leaves out a lot of facts.

This torch was purchased in April and the customers card was not charged. Tooled-up contacted the customer on various occasions via e-mail, telephone and 4 letters all sent via first class mail to the customers address asking him to contact us to make payment. Tooled-up explained that due to computer error the card had not been charged and we would need the customer to pay for the goods that they had received. The customer chose to ignore all forms of contact even though the last two letters, the telephone calls and the e-mails informed him that we would be forced to claim the money back through the small claims court although this is not something that we wished to do.

Papers were issued as a last resort after chasing payment for months and exhausting every other option and only when the court papers were delivered to the customer did they decide to contact Tooled-up to make payment, unfortunately at this point the court fees had already been paid and the customer had to cover them costs too.

This is not something that Tooled-up likes to do and this is the only occasion we have had to take this action. Unfortunately this customer chose to ignore every attempt to contact him that Tooled-up made.

This must be about the only company on the internet that requires only one click on the 'confirm order' box. To do otherwise e.g. double click (which let's face it, is not uncommon when working on a computer), will result in you being charged and sent the same item however many times you click on the mouse. This is so, even though you have only completed one order form and specified the quantity required as one. When you contact them, they will say it was your fault for clicking too much and...
