I purchased a pair of mountain horse boots for my daughter in March, 2009, these are $500 and you wouldn't beleive the way they have worn. My daughters foot is completely leaning and turning her whole ankle and bottom half of her leg inward. I contacted Mountain Horse which they claim they have a one year warranty and they don't want to do anything about. As far as I'm concerend they do not stand behind there product. “I thought I'd never find riding boots that would...”

I thought I'd never find riding boots that would accommodate my problem feet.
I have very wide feet, (mens 4E) along with a high arch, a high instep and a wide calf. I must also wear orthotics in my shoes. After reading many reviews, I ordered a pair of wide calf, Mountain Horse High Rider II bootsand crossed my fingers. They were a perfect and comfortable fit. No breaking in necessary! If you have bunions or other problems with your feet, these are the boots you want. I just love mine! (read more)

Have had 4 pairs of these Mountain Horse Mountain Rider Boots through the years and all ended up the same - with broken zips. If you can find a shoe repair shop capable of repairing them they will set you back £25 a zip. (read more)

Most comfortable boot ever owned. I use and abuse these boots and they wear well. Love the stirrup stability. I think that the Mountain Horse, Mountain Rider Boot have a superior fit and comfort compared to other similar boots. They are really great value. (read more)

I have now owned 3 pairs of Mountain Horse boots and they are worth every penny! A few friends have said they are expensive but when you have so much comfort from what ever level your riding is just doesn't matter. I also took 2 of my BHS exams in them and they gave my ankles and legs so much support. I would recommend them to be used by all riders of all abilities. (read more)
