    Good Points: absolutely no good points


    General comments: i wish i had never heard of top appliances. i ordered a bosch semi-integrated dishwasher in august 2007.the money was debited from my account and i have not received the product as of yet.

    Superb interim telephone service from them keeping me in touch with my order progress.

    Contact call two days before delivery to confirm my specified delivery date and a call just before delivery to confirm I was home. Extra praise for courteous service from delivery men. Would absolutely recommend this supplier.

    Absolutely first class, have recommended to others already.

    I bought a Fisher & Paykel Dishwasher from E-Appliances. After waiting 4 months for delivery and the rest of my kitchen completed I decided to speak to E-Appliance/Top Appliance direct as I work in Sheffield. I told them they'd taken payment straight away for the dishwasher and I wanted it now.     In my opinion, I got ripped off for the first time on any online transaction and as far as I know I didn't even get a letter for it.

    I ordered an integrated washing machine on the 22nd September. Ordered over the phone as i was having trouble doing it via the internet. Said would receive an email confirming the order. This did not happen but was given an order date. The day before was given some story about the couriers dropped the machine and they did not have another in stock.     For everyone out there that, like me, has ordered goods from Top Appliance you should note that the Company has now ceased trading due to financial difficulties. Apparently we should hear from the Company's lawyers in due course however if you paid by credit card I would recommend that you contact your credit card company to help you reclaim the money.     I received an Email yesterday saying "E-Appliances Ltd ceased trading on Tuesday 9th October due to financial difficulties. The company is taking legal advice and will contact outstanding creditors in due course."

    Unfortunately, I paid by debit card, so that's £475 up the proverbial swanee.

    I ordered a Smeg Fridge Freezer from Top Appliance on the 30th of June 2007. I was told it was in stock, then two weeks later I was told it was out of stock and would be in stock in another two weeks.     I ordered a dishwasher from Top Appliance on the 20th of July 2007, and payment of £325 was taken immediately. I had not received the order 30 days, and they couldn't even tell me when it would be arriving. I cancelled the order on the 22nd of August, and still no refund, despite a lot of phone calls and emails, and a promise of a refund within 28 days. I have now been waiting for 49 days!!

    Ordered 2600 worth of goods 10 weeks ago. Eventually cancelled when they admitted they did not know when they would have it in stock. Even though they promised me 2 weeks. Still waiting for my refund. Reading others comments I am clearly not the only one.

    The web site was easy to use, and they were very friendly when I was placing the order. Unfortunately, I waited 7 weeks for the delivery of the goods I had ordered from Top Appliance, then as they were still unable to give me a delivery date, I cancelled the order. I was told I would receive a refund of my £835 within 28 days. 12 weeks later I am still waiting for my refund. I have been forced to take the matter further, but Top Appliance are disputing my claim.

    I ordered £2500 worth of kitchen appliances in May as i was informed that goods would be delivered in a maximum of two weeks time. I needed the appliances for 3 weeks after date of order as fitters were booked in to fit a new kitchen. The goods had not been delivered when the kitchen fitters arrived they therefore had to abandon my kitchen.     Oh dear this is bad. Ordered £2500 worth of goods, cancelled half of the order because it took a vlot longer than they said. I cancelled on 12 July and I still haven't received a refund despite it now being 19th September after several excuses. Looks like I'm going to have to start legal proceedings to get my money back. I do not recommend using this company - they haven't refunded my money!

    Top Appliance quickly took full payment, but they didn't deliver the goods, and I am having problems getting a refund, despite the 28 day refund policy.

    It has now been 3 months that I haven't had my appliances for. I get an email every fortnight from Top Appliances telling me it will be 1 - 2 weeks until delivery, but I have still had no delivery.

    We ordered £550 worth of kitchen appliances from Top Appliance in May, and I was informed they would be delivered within 2 - 3 weeks. The money was taken out of our account on the same day. I only needed them in 6 weeks, so that was going to be fine.

    6 weeks passed, and I rang to be told they would be at least another 2 weeks. I had to cancel, and I was told a refund would be credited within 28 days, but it was usually a lot quicker.

    Had problems with their delivery firm, who did not phone to arrange a delivery time. When I eventually got a response and took time of work for delivery, it never arrived. I phoned the delivery firm, and I was told that I had got it wrong, as they could not give me a firm date of delivery. I phoned top appliance to cancel the order and was told that a refund could take up to 28 days, but should be through in about 7 to 10 days. Payment has still not been refunded!

    I bought a matching Smeg hob and oven set on June 23rd - "Our best selling oven and hob package. Free delivery! Despatch within five days". Checking the stock revealed it was currently in stock so there should have been no problem. It is now August 7th, I received the oven several weeks late and the hob "should be back in stock August 20th".
