when i went to pay for my petrol the machine wouldn't read my card, i knew it wasn't my card as every time i have visited this petrol station this has happened. the cashier asked for a different card of which i gave my credit card this to did not work, the cashier then said i would need to use the cash machine on the forecourt, this charged me 1.65. will never go back to this garage ever again very rude staff and to top it all off it was raining and the shop floor was slippery and i slipped on the wet floor.

They refused to sell me more than 3 packets of cigarettes. The manager did not explain the rule well to his staff, who couldn't explain whether this limit was for my own health or for their own feelings of guilt.

Despite my polite enquiry, I was not told if the 60 limit was a per visit, hourly, daily, or annual rationing. I didn't bother asking whether this penalty was applied across brands and what their position on roll-up was, since I'd left to go elsewhere to get as many cigs as I wanted. ...

I used this Esso Petrol Station on route to Cornwall & found the staff very helpful & friendly.I had a coffee break at 4am,it was very clean & very well stocked.I was so impressed I also stopped on the way back to Surrey at 11 30pm& found the same a week later.Well Done.It is the only stop open through the night on that route from start of M3 at Staines.I wish there were more of these on that route.

Esso service stations were the first to be modernised in the 1980s. Why cant they all be ugraded today in the 21st century? Only the new look Esso is mainly found with Tesco Express outlets. Others remain old and unchanged except at the pumps.

Esso's petrol is clean and very economical - I experimented with petrol from all the major petrol stations over the last few months and these are my findings - I bought an exact amount of petrol from each station and tried to keep to the same driving habits - Esso gave me up to 6.7 miles extra compared to the other brands - followed by BP, Shell, Total, Jet, Murco and finally Texaco which is just plain bad!

i dont understand why they charge 50p to get air/ water.
Water, maybe (cause of the drought at the moment)
Air,no way, (taking advantage of a safety aspect, that every car needs).

    Esso Petrol Station Review
1-do not like the blue paint on the pumps
2-diesel pumps should be sited well away from the petrol pumps.
3-the rubber pipes from the petrol pumps should be coloured GREEN. When I'm filling the car with petrol and see the black pipe I think it's diesel. Black pipes for diesel, please.
