After loosing £3,800 deposit to Redhill applicances who went into liquidation, Rob Stephens and Applicance World stepped in and supplied all of our goods at great prices. They were delivered on time and we able to help out and give advice about the various different appliances. They also liased with Miele for us. They had a lot of knowledge and were most helpful. I was more than happy to be able to order my microwave to be delivered within the week and that is where the good ends. Called at 9.45 am on day of delivery and was told to expect a morning delivery before 1pm. At 2 pm I am advised by the driver that it will be at leat another 45 mins and he was never going to get to me by 1. Waited for more than 2 weeks, when it was in stock, to find out that the only deliver on Fridays. I went out, bought this product and asked them to deliver the rest. We bought a Neff oven and hob recently. When our plumber opened up the hob there was a slight defect on the top. I rang appliance world and they arranged for an engineer to come out. He came within the week, brough a replacement part and fixed the problem straight away, no quibbles. Would definately use them again (read more)

We have recently completed a new extension to our home that includes a fabulous kitchen. We purchased our Neff appliances from Appliance World, this included a dishwasher, gas hob, combi-microwave, single oven, warming drawer, extractor hood and in addition a Bosch freezer. They took my cash for a fridge freezer and after 3 weeks we phoned up as we had not heard anything. They could not get the one we wanted and said they had phoned and emailed - they had not. The delay meant that we could no longer get the fridge freezer we wanted from anyone and has really caused trouble - its integrated and kitchen is built. They only offered £10 off a replacement which was £150 more than the one we wanted. Very poor, do not use these people, you have been warned!! (read more)

The help I received in choosing the correct product for my needs was excellent. Debbie the sales lady was not only helpful but very knowledgeable. Visited Appliance World after having researched prices and found they had the cheapest prices online. Dealt with Anthony Pounder who was informative and he didn't try to sell us their most expensive products either. In the end we bought all our kitchen appliances from them. Anthony even went out of his way to source a product they didn't normally supply. Appliances arrived as scheduled. Couldn't fault their customer service and would definitely recommend them. I ordered an insinkerator hot water tap on their website and received the confirmation email. They then phoned me to say that they did not have any in stock, neither did their supplier. In fact, they did not know when they would have any and the price had been increased on their website to try to stop any more orders. The website is extremely user friendly giving easy access to all the electrical appliances we require. Prices are immediately available and compare very favourably to other suppliers, all items we require are in stock and the ability to forward a list of appliances to our own email is very helpful. We just bought SMEG Symphony SY62MX8 Dual Fuel from appliance - world. We are very happy with our cooker. The delivery was very good quick & very smooth. The deliver man was very friendly & very carefully bought our cooker thr our kitchen (our door). We live on the Isle-of-Skye and are in the process of building a new house. I spent some time researching prices for kitchen equiptment and found Appliance Direct to be the cheapest with fantastic reviews. They were indeed a FANTASTIC company to deal with, we were kept informed of the day and time the courier would arrive. I've bought 2 appliances from Appliance World and on both occasions the prices were very competitive, the delivery was very well communicated with options to choose convenient delivery windows and both deliveries were on time, all very good. My Freezer decided to give out at the beginning of December so I went on-line & found this company. Firstly let me apologise that you feel let down by our after-sales service. We aim to deliver within the quoted 10-14 working days however, on this occasion, it proved impossible as our delivery vans were completely booked up during the busy pre-Christmas period.
Our customer service team weren't able to be more specific than 10-14 working days as, unfortunately, we cannot allocate delivery dates for items which are not yet in stock at our warehouse.
Additionally, there was a delay in the items reaching us from our supplier which meant that the delivery would have been 16 working days had you not opted to self-collect (just two days more than quoted).
With regards to the delivery charge, there was no charge added to your order so there was nothing to refund. Had there been one, we would have of course been happy to refund it.
We do openly state in our terms and conditions (listed on our website: http://www.appliance-world.co.uk/info/Terms+and+Conditions+of+Sale.html and attached to the order acknowledgement) that "We are happy to accept a deposit of at least 10%, with the balance to be paid prior to dispatch." However, we apologise if this was not made clear at the point of ordering.
Since the time of your order, we have dedicated a member of our team to more actively communicating order status to the customer which is something that we as a company
are working extremely hard to improve on.
We sincerely hope that you would contact us in the future when you are looking for kitchen appliances.

I ordered an electric oven a month ago to feed my family. The money was promptly taken, however we are still waiting for delivery. There may be cheaper deals on this site but now I realise the true cost of ordering from a cheaper company. I would definitely have paid more to receive the order more quickly. Firstly, please let me express my disappointment to learn of your experience with Appliance World. I'd like to apologise that your appliance was not delivered within a satisfactory time scale and that you were only updated a month after purchase.
At the time of ordering, we did state that item was on order with our supplier and quoted you a delivery time of 10-14 working days.
Unfortunately, we can't supply exact delivery dates before receiving the item into our warehouse as this risks letting the customer down if we in turn are let down by our supplier; we feel it's important to be safe rather than sorry.
We do not discriminate against any customer. However, as you correctly pointed out, our drivers are not simply insured to help carry appliances up any stairs. We are open about this and state it within the terms and conditions which all customers must accept before placing an order online and in the order acknowledgement too.
Also, if the item is on order with our supplier, customers have the option to pay a 10% deposit up front to secure the order and then pay the remaining balance with delivery.
We have placed your order onto a saturday delivery at no extra cost which is not normally possible at this busy time of year - however we are doing our best to fulfil all orders.

Initially we had ordered a washing machine through Comet, arranged delivery for a weeks time, booked the day off as the delivery was between 8.00am and 6.00pm. When you placed the order, we quoted you 10-14 working days for delivery as the oven was out of stock at our warehouse. We were given an estimated date of delivery of the 28th October which was not met by our supplier although we are hoping to receive it by the end of this week.
We appreciate that you would have preferred to take delivery of the oven sooner than the quoted 10-14 day delivery period and understand your decision to cancel the order despite being offered an alternative oven from stock. I ordered a dishwasher and an extractor chimney from appliance-world. Both were at a very good price and both arrived promptly. When I discovered that the chimney had been slightly damaged in transit (although the packaging showed no signs of this) appliance-world could not have been more helpful or efficient in sending a replacement. They gave good prices and were happy to give small discounts for buying more than one item. Had to wait for items to come into stock but then they were dispatched quickly. Communication was good by email. Very pleased that they were able to assist after purchase by forwarding on the relevant installation diagrams. We were having a complete rebuild of our kitchen, which can be stressful: co-ordinating tradesmen, how you are going to eat, where you are going to store everything etc; add to that the worry that possibly you might be paying builders to sit on their hands if the white goods deliveries don't come on time. My old fan was noisy, so i telephoned appliance world last year they told me the fans were quiet. They are quiet and if your hot in the night you don't have to get up just turn them on with the remote or turn them of by remote if you are cool enough, they also have a timer so they will shut off automatically. I cant recommend these fans enough and this site has them the cheapest. There is nothing bad i can say about these fans they are wonderful. (read more)

Searched for best price online then called Appliance World and was offered a scrappage allowance which reduced the price even further. The item arrived within the advised timescale and we found the delivery team excellent from the initial contact to advise the date right down to the driver who made the delivery.
