    Have just returned from 2 weeks in Pineda. Hotel very clean and staff very helpful. Can't fault it at all for a cheap 2 week break. Unfortunately no kids club for british children only spanish, which spoilt it a little.

    La Pineda, Best Hotel Sol D'or is excellent in every way! Try it for yourselves! The resort is probably the best in Spain! The hotel has lots of nationalities, the Spanish choose it for their vacations so it must be good! Food is varied and fresh, hotel is spotless, all inclusive option is faultless!

    Stayed in Hotel Sol Dor in May 2009 with my 8 year old daughter. Read some reviews before we went and admit some made me quite nervous, but it was brilliant. The Hotel location was perfect, a few minutes walk from a beautiful beach and the shops and restaurants. The Hotel wasnt overly fancy but catered perfectly for all our needs, the rooms were cleaned every day and any staff i met were very friendly and helpful.     After reading other comments about this hotel we were not sure what to expect, driving through Salou and it was just like Blackpool on arrival to La Pineda what a difference, lovely clean safe beach perfect for younger children, hotel lovely and clean, rooms could do with update of deco but spacious. We went half board and the food is the same every night so we eat out some nights just for a change. The local buses run to Port Adventura which is a great day out and go in the evening for the fire ...

    I would go back again in the morning. I travelled with a 3 year old. I had no problems, and I received great service and staff at Best Hotel Sol D'or were very friendly. I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel and resort.

    I would recommend Best Hotel Sol D'or to friends and family. Most people I spoke to liked the hotel. I'm on my own with teenage daughter and younger daughter and they love it, they got on well with the staff and who were also there last year 2004, we're hoping that it will be the same third year running in 2006.     I stayed at the Best Hotel Sol D'or from 26 July to 09 august 2004 with my wife and 7yr old son. I booked this trip independently and hired a car as they say they have a car park for guests, which is under the hotel, when I asked about using it I was told that it was full, however my room was above the entry/exit (which was locked shut) and in 2 weeks I didn't see one car go in or out.     We stayed at the Best Hotel Sol D'or for 7 nights in June/July 2004 and on the first day our hotel room was robbed, leaving us without almost €500, mobile phones, wallets or duty-free cigarettes. The theft was immediately reported to the hotel reception where we were told to go to the police station- about 15 minutes away by taxi.
