    The watch strap went faulty after 5 months, neither the manager or staff new how their guarrantee worked or their insurance warrantee and didn't know about statutory rights resulting in the manager giving the wrong information and distress.

    I love hsamuels sometimes the jewellery isnt the best of quality but then agen it isnt the most expensive of places so overall i think the place is good value of money, ive brought many items of jewellery, the latest a £600 diamond ring and ive never had any problems and the staff are always loverly i can stand and chat to them for hours!

    I bought a Calvin Klein watch from H Samuels and took it back for a refund they gave me £200 in one pound coins!
    When I complained nobody seemed interested.

    bought my girlfriend a ring for her birthday - within 8 months the main stone in the ring had fallen out - took it to complain and was told it would need to be sent away for "quality control" - when asked what happens next we were told (by the manager who served us)that it would take 2 weeks to get an answer and that she was rushing it through as a priority, we asked what happened if they decided we had caused the damage and they said they used an external quality control company and that if the ...

    we were told if unsuitable we had 30 days to return.7 days later ,when the watch irritated my wifes skin ,we were told we could not return it,even though it had been worn for 3 hours only.two weeks later customer services have not yet had the manners to respond to any of my calls.see other reviews,there is a pattern here of very poor service and similar customer service.be warned.

    Fantastic! my boyfriend proposed to me and we decided we would have a look for engagement rings together, I had been having a look in several other shops but found that H samuel were good value for money and we had an amazing personal service, will definitely be going back for the wedding rings!!!

    I bought an engagement ring from then back in 2007. In May 2008 the engagement rings claw broke and we were told that it could not be mended and so we were issued with a new one. In August this year it broke again and I attended the store to get a replacement. The Manager was appalling in his nature, couldn't wait to close the shop and wanted me out.

    I took my Seiko watch into H Samuels, to have a new battery fitted.
    The lady assistant took my watch into a back room, then appeared 10 / 15 minutes later mumbling something about very small screws and told me the watch was no longer working.

    She told me she couldn't do any more to the watch (was she qualified to mess about with Seiko watches ?) but a co-worker would be in the following day and have a look at it, and contact me with the findings. I left them my land-line and mobile numbers.

    In my experience staff at H. Samuel are more interested in trying to sell as much as they could, make me spend more than I wanted when I went in and knew what watch I wanted and wanted to compare prices and have another look. Pounced upon three or four times when I wanted just to look. Pushy and only interested in the sale. If it wasnt for the best price I wouldn't have bought my watch there.

    i bought my mom an eternity ring from H Samuels for her 80th birthday - after only a few weeks a stone fell out - then a few months later a few more stones fell out - this was not a good sign, i asked for my money back but they said no as it was in a sale. we had it repaired again and it happened again one of the shop assistants said that she shouldnt be wearing it all the time and that she had probably bashed it against the wall as if she is an 82 yr old come on!! - we had it repaired again a ...

    I was guaranteed a delivery date of the 23rd Dec 08 for a christmas present for my wife. Still not received it and its now the 31st Dec 08. Have cancelled it and they stated that I might have to wait another 48 hours for my money back! I feel I have received no customer care at all. Thoroughly disgusted and would not recommend them to anyone.

    I have bought several items from my local H. Samuel, being the last one a watch that lost a stone a few days later. When I went there to replace it, the lady I spoke to said I couldn't prove I didn't, for instance, throw it into a wall, causing the situation. I didn't blame the whole store for the lack of politeness of their employee, thinking that in every tree there may be a rotten apple.     I bought my daughter a set last December 2007 a bangle, necklace and earrings.     My boyfriend bought me a cz pendant from H. Samuel for our anniversary in January. Since then I have had six replacements as the claws that hold the stone in place, don't seem to and the stone keeps coming out. I am now on my 7th necklace which was given to me as a replacement, only for it to be apparently sold to me broken. I have written to head office and received no reply yet. In my opinion, the service and products are very disappointing.

    I Chose my engagement ring from H Samuel, had it for 8 months and the diamond fell out. The shop told me I would have a new ring in 7 days once a quality assurance check had been completed.
    It actually took 2 months for them to replace my ring and that was me calling the shop and customer services constantly.
    When I got the new ring they advised it was a faulty batch and it wont happen again.
    Guess what a few months down the line another diamond has fallen out.

    Had to wait 3 months for H. Samuel to do a repair, after it went to repairs and then came back to the shop it had to go to the manufacturers, as I refused to pay because I only bought it in december I think the service is poor. I do not expect to pay £300.00 for a ring and within 6months two diamonds have come out. And i have always taken my ring off when doing any house work.

    I had a pair of lovely Emerald and Diamond for my Bithday but the stems of them seemed much shorter than the average and within days I had lost one, the back piece still being almost imbedded in the back of my ear. I have visited the store they were purchased at in order to get one earring ordered but was advised against even buying another pair the same as they showed me how much shorter they were to others and I have an earlobe needing a normal stem.

    I bought a pair of Peridot ear rings 2 yrs. ago and wore it the first time when I visited my mum overseas but the stone fell out from one of the ear rings after the second day and I could not find it. The same goes for a garnet stone locket which I bought early last year. Just wore the locket for a few days, the garnet stone went missing . I feel the workmanship is cheap and nasty with poor claws as the gem stones get dropped off easily.

    I bought an expensive watch from H. Samuel, it was fine for 2 years,i returned it to them to have the battery replaced, about 6 months later it stopped and a brown stain appeared on the dial,i returned it to samuels, the battery had leaked and the watch was irreparable, they said there was nothing they could do. I contacted my insurer and they sent a credit card to spend at samuels,they had no watches simlar so i bought my partner new matching engagement and eternity rings,they measured her fing ...
