“Appauling service, lies, no knowledge!”

I don't normally bother with reviews but I am so appauled at the terrible service i have received that this needs to be known: Took a watch for repair as they told me a pin was missing, took 10 days for them to quote £25 and another ten days to return it as it's not worth paying that much. Took it to Timpsons watch repairs in Prestwich and the man clicked it back into place in 5 seconds flat! there was never a pin missing - furthermore when I complained to HSamuel I got no reply… Read Full Review

“Pile it high sell it cheap”

I have shopped at H Samuel several times I have bought lots of jewellery and watches, an engagement ring, two wedding rings and most recently a Fossil quartz watch for everyday wear. The Fossil watch I purchased stopped working after about 6 weeks after purchase so I returned it to my local store who advised me it was the battery at fault but they didn’t have any in stock so would send it off for repair and return it to me. “Manager needs to manage herself”

I recently visited the Cheltenham H Samuel storeI was greeted by a young girl short in height in a friendly, happy nature. Upon just saying I wanted to browse I was told iif there was anything just to let her know. “Don't trust them, they will lie to you”

Took my watch into the Gloucester branch for a battery replacement in November last year. They couldn't get the back off it but in the process left 2 deep scratches on the side. Agreed to send it back to Rotary to get scratches buffed out. After several visits to the shop and them telling me that it was still at Rotary they rang at beginning of this month to tell me it had been lost in transit. “Guarantees Christmas delivery ”

They guarantee christmas delivery but ring ordered from them came 4 days late. Then when i needed to return the ring for a size smaller was told i would have to wait until the new year. My experience at the Dudley MerryHill branch was awful!!!. They have taken our ring to be sized and it came back with a diamond missing and a deep scratch on the gold. They still have it now and are refusing to replace it only repair it. Do not trust this company at all. They in my mind should not be trading!! No one cares!!

“Engagement ring broke TWICE in 2.5 years”

I have lost all faith and heart in this company and the product they sell. When I got engaged I was so happy I just went to the nearest jewellers. “AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE, AFTER SALES SERVICE VERY POOR.”

My husband purchased my engagement ring from H Samuel, Preston in September 2012. He proposed to me on my 50th birthday on board a cruise ship in November 2012. Claws don't just 'bend' on their own accord. It was most probable that it would have been caught on an item of clothing. You can't expect a company to fix an item for free if it is not a manufacturing default. You wouldn't expect a car company to replace your tyres for free if you got a flat, would you?! Or a clothes company to see your jeans up for you if you ripped a hole.

“bad experience ever”

I bought a Citizen watch from Brent Cross branch about a year ago. 2 months ago the watch started show the time wrong, always behind. I went back to shop, they send the watch for repair 3 times. It kept showing the same fault. They ordered a new watch for me, bit the watch that came back was not new at all. It was my own watch, little cleaned and poloshed. Don't be aggressive and rude to staff and you will not be removed from a store.

If you play around with your watch then unset it, don't claim its faulty, all citizen watch manuals are online.
