    Bought a ring 10 mths ago, it broke so we took it back for repair to Oracle branch in Reading. They told ud it needed sending away for 4 weeks to thier head office to evaluate if it was a manufacturing fault or not and if not to give us a quote for repair. It would then take another 4 weeks to repair or they would exchange it. Thing is the ring was only 10 mths old and still under guarantee!

    The repair is about a £20 repair, so we took it to the local jewellers, to wait 8 weeks for them to make good something which they should do under the guarantee and to even suggest they would not do it is at best disgraceful.

    Two things to learn here, first the quality of thier jewellery is not high - I have never known a ring break, not one costing £450. Second the guarantee means nothing and can not be relied on, for such high cost items this is worrying.

    In terms of service we were first dealt with by an assisstant who was just not interested, threw the jewelley around and did not explain what would happen, it was only after we realised she had not commited to repair the ring that we got the under manager, who did explain company policy like a robot with a smile.

    Advise and conclusion - shop elsewhere, there are sveral other jewellers within the same shopping centre, but avoid Ernest Jones like the plague.

    o my god why are these still in buisness the staff are rude and have no way of dealing with the public.. my fiance bought my enagement ring here in Dec . by june it was darnished which happens apparently after 12 to 18 months thats what we were told ring is white gold... had it dipped and within 3 weeks it was worse than before. we asked the first time why it happened so quick and i was told i wore it to much....... anyway this is all going on since july we get married in 9 weeks and my ring is ...

    I just recently got engaged...for almost a month actually and out of that month, my engagement ring has been with ERNEST JONES for TWO WEEKS!!!! Called them today with an update - they do not have one!!!!!! WHAT A LOAD OF %$^$%*^!!!!! i am so ANGRY because i only wore my ring for less than 2wks.     This is my 2nd Leo band from Ernest Jones, as a diamond fell out after 10 months in the first 1, now 9 months later, yet again, a diamond has fallen out.     I know that this is about a completely different product - my TAG watch bought as a 40th present from my husband but still highlights yet again the appalling customer service of Ernest Jones. I took the watch in to get the battery replaced under the 2 year warranty. I had the original box, receiot and guarantee card.     My husband and I bought a locket to be engraved for our daughter's Christening. I made especially sure they knew it was for a specific date (date was also part of engraving)but it did not come back in time. When I told them I was not happy and complained they simpley said there had been a backlog, and can't keep tabs on all items sent. It seems to me that once you've bought something the customer service is non existent.

    staff in shop merry hill helpful& friendly. online customer services took 17 days to answer email, not quality, yet they put out surveys to check on shop floor efficiency, it seems to me Ernest Jones need to survey themselves first.

    Purchased eternity ring which the branch sized. After 6 weeks ring was bent, badly scratched and diamonds fell out the ring. Returned and exchanged but new ring started scratching badly. Ernest Jones insisted this was normal for 18ct gold (my other rings never looked so badly scratched). Two diamonds then broke.     I recently selected my wedding jewellery from Ernest Jones, thinking I would get a better quality product, as my Parents were buying it for me as a gift, they paid £120 for earrings and a necklace and I was pleased with them.     My husband bought me a white gold bracelet for Christmas, the third time of wearing we noticed it had basically fallen apart. On taking it back to the store where customer services were awful, we had to send the bracelet away for review. They have come back and said accidental damage. What happened to good customer services. the bracelet was under six months old and if I had caught it as they say it would have fallen off. We will never use Ernest Jones again.......

    My lovely fiancee proposed to me in April this year and gave me a gorgeous platinum diamond ring he bought from Ernest Jones. The ring was one size too big so was sent off to be made one size smaller. I had been wearing it 6 weeks when I noticed that the band was badly mis-shapen, took it back to the store and it got sent to Quality contol came back after 4 weeks saying the cause could be mis-use.     Ernest Jones are the worst jewellers I have ever had to deal with and customer service is unacceptable! My Fiance proposed to me on my birthday December the 5th and unfortunately the ring was too big. I went straight to Ernest Jones the next day where they suggested a swap but me being sentimental opted for a resizing which I was told was a possibility.     I bought a rotary watch from one of their branches. The watch was a dud. As part of the sale Ernest Jones gave me a promotional voucher worth £100 if you spend another £300 at another time. I threw the voucher away as had no need for it.

    I bought an armani watch at Ernest Jones for my father the service I recieved from the staff in the newtownabbey store was great they were ver friendly and give me lots of attention I left feeling very happy and have since returned to buy other gifts for family and friends
    I would really recommend Ernest Jones to all my friends.I have also opened an ernest Jones store card.

    From Ernest Jones I have my engagement ring, and both me and my husband have wedding bands...so we spent a fair bit with them. We also paid for insurance. I noticed that a stone had come off the ring, so under insurance took it back to the shop. Staff were friendly, told me should be couple of weeks, but they have to send it to HO, and the right clarity / size stone would be sourced. 6 weeks later, I am still waiting! this includes half a dozen calls to be told the ring would be back next week, ...

    Ernest Jones Sales staff quite pushy. I was fetched inside by a member of staff who saw me window shopping and before I knew it, I had purchased a £1700 Omega watch for my husbands birthday. It was the watch I had intended purchasing but I had intended taking a bit of time about it. After buying it, we found out that the clasp was opening by itself.     Extremely helpful and knowledgeable sales associate. Kindly recommended various options after I explained I was looking for a 40th birthday gift for my daughter whilst visiting Ernest Jones, Guildford, U.K. Product beautiful and acceptably priced.

    Extremely disappointed with the service.

    I purchased 2 wedding rings both of which had to be resized (other option of ordering new ones would have taken 42 days!!!). Resizing both rings came back incorrect, one of which was returned with a completely different profile (ordered flat, came back court).     My Husband spent £1250 on a Bridal set from Ernest Jones, White Gold Princess Cut Diamond Engagement ring with dozens of surrounding brilliant cut diamonds and matching wedding band.

    I was upset when after 8 months a diamond fell out of the engagement ring and more so that it took 6 weeks to get back to me and that they tried to claim it was down to 'wear and tear' and that I should be charged.
