Good Points: Welcoming staff (anxious for sales)
Bad Points: Customer service
General comments: I bought my wife a Gucci watch, which she treasured and looked after. There were several problems with it over a long period of time. Goldsmiths sent it away for batteries and services etc., all of which cost a tidy sum, yet it kept stopping. The final straw came as Goldsmiths took it for a battery change, and they charged us and returned it to us not working (they didn't even notice) - but if we are prepared to pay another £135 for yet another service then we can have it back again working!

Good selection of high value goods, but worth shopping around first.
I saw exactly the same stock of the same quality in another jewellers for much less than it was at Goldsmiths jewellers.

I bought my Armani watch from Goldsmiths the stockport store in December last year.
The store assistant was very helpfull and even though I tried on about 25 watches and then chose the first one I looked at, was really patient.
The prices were reasonable and were around the same as the prices at other shops including the Armani store.
I was very please with the service I received they also had a on site jeweller to adjust the watch strap.
