“Email Nightmare”

I usually love the body shop along with there customer care. I have never experienced a bad word about the body shop untill now! i went on there website to send them a quick and polite email requesting them to send me there customer care policy as i am entitled to this. I was dissapointed to recive an automatic reply, giving me lots of irrelevant information, and then to be told that this was private information. “Vitamin E moisturiser Bad marketing technique”

“doesn't work wel”

i think this product isn't good enough for me. i tried the lipbalm-it was the born lippy lipbalm and it doesn't even stay longer than 20 minutes. after this 20 minutes this leave my lips dry. the lipbalm smells strawberry and i think the smell is too strong-i got a headache when i smelled this. the lotion dont really hydrated my skin. when in the morning i wore this lotion and than it touched water, i just hate the feeling and the lotion seems to flow away with the water so it does not absorb… Read Full Review

“Sales assistant put me off going back!”

I went into my local Body Shop in Brighton to buy just a pot of moisturiser. Went straight to the till to pay and only after the sales assistant had tried to upsell a £5 loyalty card (I said I already had too many), a pot of lip balm (if I'd wanted one I'd have already picked one up) and a £2 bag (when I'd already said I didn't need a bag) was I able to pay for the moisturiser. Although the Body Shop sells a good range of products, I do feel their customer service could be better. I recently bought a tanning mitt and some exfoliating gloves, and when I went to the checkout, the shop assistant started serving me and another customer at the same time. I have worked in retail for over 15 years and this is something that happens all the time. 99% of people who work retail are trained to multitask and that includes dealing with customers. As long as the sales clerk wasn't being rude or ignoring you I don't think you have any reason to complain. I have a friend who works for the company and they are specifically trained to handle multiple customers at the same time. If you seriously will never go back because of that I recommend never shopping in a mall again unless you plan on paying to book the whole store for yourself!
