“Poor quality food”

★★☆☆☆

written by AbdullahClarke284 on 21/03/2014

Swanley Branch - Firstly the on-line offer advertised in the local leaflet was NOT available on-line! Then I was charged for a topping swap by the store which was free on-line when I checked. Our pizzas were cold and a bit hard (even though we collected before the expected time) which made us wonder if these were made ahead of time and the staff was dismissive in manner. To make matters worse the quality of the actual pizzas were poor - we've had way better quality from ASDA & Aldi frozen pizzas...we think they scrimped on the pizzas because they were a BOGOF offer. The quality is nothing like we remember from years ago and safe to say we won't be ordering from Dominos again....we decided to stick with the local Farmhouse Pizza - better quality/taste and definitely better value for money!!!

“vile!”

★★☆☆☆

written by moodyknights on 17/03/2013

My local Domino pizza place is not even half a mile from us, but due to an on going power failure we were unable to cook so we had the misfortune to order a meat feast pizza from the Chatham Hill branch. The timing wasn't too bad but my heart sank when I was handed a Luke warm box which negated the warning that the contents were hot.....they were not. Having to wait another 45mins? For another did not bear contemplating. The pizza was not worth the money or the wait. I will try to avoid this branch in future, or better still make my own, which would certainly be better tasting and at least I will be in control of the ingredients.

“Hackney Branch - Cold Pizza”

★★☆☆☆

written by dominosruinedmylife on 02/03/2013

Second time we've ordered from the Hackney branch and received cold food. Only about a 10 minute car journey from the actual place so maybe the "driver" walks? I guess it is Hackney so the helmet seems slightly more plausible. Spoke to the manager and he gave us a choice of £5 refund and we keep the pizza or they send another one out. Decided to go with option three with a full refund and they come and take the food away.

“Insulted by a Dominos employee in Bedford TX”

★★☆☆☆

written by on 01/02/2013

I love Domino's Oven baked sandwiches. My regular location is on 222 N Story road in Irving TX and they have a lunch special for $5.00 before 2:00 which I love because is great deal:) Last Wednesday in 2817 Brown Trail in Bedford Texas location I did ask if they have the same special and the employee was rude (White male with mustache on his 50's)with his answer. He seemed frustrated with a customer on the phone. I completely understand specials may vary depending on many circumstances but I didn't feel like buy it if he didn't have that special. I said "never mind is just One dollar" and He responded with "shut up BWORD!" I feel he treated me like this because my heavy Mexican accent. I work as CSR and I know is hard but NEVER while wearing my uniform I would snap to insult a customer...and due this bad experience I will stop for a while getting anything from Domino's...is not the product but the people representing the company

“dominos pizza going down hill fast”

★★☆☆☆

written by whatsup3009 on 10/10/2012

As dominos try to cut corner and cost the pizza is suffering. The last 2 occasions I have been to Dominos I have been disappointed not enough cheese and to much tomato. Ever bite should be a nice balance of flavour not a mouthfull of tomato and nothing else. I will not waste my money again time to find a new Pizza place.

“Soggy Fatty and No Good”

★★☆☆☆

written by on 18/08/2011

Was not impressed at all. I ordered both dominos and pizza hut at the same time so we could compare the two...and the only good thing about dominos was that the food got there exactly on time. The wings were very fatty..kinda made you sick to your stomach. Maybe they needed to be cooked longer or they should use a different method. Very soggy and fatty!

“I ordered pizza from Domino's Pizza for the first time...”

★★☆☆☆

written by HereHareHere on 07/07/2010

I ordered pizza from Domino's Pizza for the first time recently - first time for ordering takeaway pizza and first time for Domino's. I thought the idea of ordering through a website was brilliant and I wish all takeaways had this facility. It was really easy to browse the menu, order and pay and you can even view the progress of your delivery in real time. I ordered the two for the price of one special deal for myself, my husband and my son and we had two medium, which are the 11.5" size. One was called a New Yorker and the other was a Meat Feast. They arrived bang on the 8pm delivery slot I had requested and the driver was very polite and friendly. However, the pizzas, as far as I was concerned were awful. At first I thought they'd got the order wrong as both pizzas looked exactly the same, but I eventually realised the Meat Feast had little mounds of brown stuff on it, presumably the minced beef. This was my husband's pizza and he polished the lot off, but then he eats anything you give him. The New Yorker had a few little squares of ham and bits of pepperoni on it and was extremely greasy, limp and soggy, with the tomato sauce tasting more of chemicals than tomatoes. I managed one slice and gave the rest to my son to finish off. Both pizzas looked just the same as the ones you pay a pound or two for at the ASDA deli counter, and having parted with £12.99 for these two sorry offerings, I felt well and truly ripped off! Considering the poor quality of their ingredients, their profit margins must be absolutely astronomical. Needless to say, I won't get bitten again and when we next fancy takeaway food, will stick to the Chinese or the Indian.

“Dominos seems to be very popular generally with the...”

★★★☆☆

written by sue411 on 09/01/2009

Dominos seems to be very popular generally with the public, but I am wondering if it is the ease of ordering or the quality of the food which makes people return to them.
I am not a regular customer of Dominos, I tend to use them when they have offers running, although the total bill still seems to come to quite a lot of money by the time I have been seduced into adding the extras on!
Firstly the ordering process is very easy and the phone at my local store is answered quickly and staff are polite and helpful. The food arrives generally on time and the drivers are polite.
The food itself does not score so highly for me.
The starters seem to be quite tasty and I have no complaints about those, but the pizzas are always a disappointment. The pizza seems to dry up pretty quickly and there is a distinct lack of tomato base on the pizza. The amount of toppings also seems a bit hit and miss, this could depend on which person is making up the pizza, although I would have thought that strict portion control should be in place for each pizza.
I have tried one of the desserts on offer only the one time, they are okay, but are quite expensive for what you get.
I previously ordered a pizza from my local store, that was so lacking in flavour and taste that I complained via the website. I was pleased to receive a quick apologetic response and a voucher for a free pizza which I redeemed the next time I ordered. Unfortunately the pizza did not have much more flavour that time either!
Thanks for reading my review.

Putney branch: delivery man tried to short-change me, I had to raise my voice to him before he would correct the situation, next time I placed an order I was told that they would not accept my custom because I had shouted at their delivery man!
Fortunately I don't care, I can live without overpriced pizzas, but it seems to me ironic that their employee tries to cheat me but apparently this means the customer is always wrong!
