“Rushden Greggs appalling ”

Written on: 10/07/2015 by Stephenpach (1 review written)

I've used this shop for quick snacks a lot, but not anymore. I was short changed this morning, without even putting the change in my pocket I could see it was wrong, I told the lady serving me change isn't right to be met with ignorant arrogance explaining I must be mistaken - with a queue behind me I told her no you gave given me the incorrect change. She then went to get a a Sorry excuse for a Manager who refunded me the difference no apology nothing. Training at this store is without doubt… Read Full Review

“Finally learnt my lesson with Greggs.”

Written on: 20/03/2015 by gilesthe (1 review written)

I can never buy anything from Greggs again for my own safety. Their bread products are actually ok, but a little expensive and I used to like their hot pastry products. However they bake things like pasties and sausage rolls and then let them cool off in a display at above room temperatures, rather than refrigerate them once they are cool. The warm/tepid conditions are ideal for creating a food poisoning issue and after consuming one small beef pastie early this week bought in Orpington I have… Read Full Review

“Fantastic value”

Written on: 16/03/2015 by dbRussell478 (1 review written)

I had a steak pie and a sausage road and both are piping hot and extremely tasty. I hope that Greggs can open in every train station as their prices are less than 50% of Delice De France and there is more meat inside!… Read Full Review

“it was all good when the Skilled instore bakers worked...”

Written on: 06/11/2014 by RyleighCampbell (1 review written)

Greggs made all the skilled in-store bakers redundant all 80+ in-stores in SE England from May-Oct 2014! therefore what you buy now is yesterdays bread, roll and bun products supplied from factories. Not really a way forward for a company who pride themselves on quality and above all say its fresh....really!!!! Even the sandwiches are made with day old bread... They were good times back in the days of Bakers Oven! not mass produce and sent out to shops from the factories i.e. Enfield. Greggs… Read Full Review

“Cold disgusting food ”

Written on: 16/09/2014 by HunterPhillips (1 review written)

Have just had the worst food from greggs in Swindon town centre.....I cannot understand why all of the food was stone cold! And I quite literally could not identify the filling in my Cornish pasty, so it all went in the bin. Disgusting and tasteless, and on another note, the recruitment policy must state that all staff have to be rude and obnoxious to every customer. No idea how this chain is still operating..... … Read Full Review

“Very disappointing experience at Gregg's ”

Written on: 20/05/2014 by Chrismscott (1 review written)

My friend and I had tea and toast, only to be told we might as well have two slices of toast as we would be charged the same if we only wanted one. Food served on a paper bag which is on a tray no plates. When asked for a knife to cut the toast we were told no knives were available so how were we supposed to put the butter on the toast.? Plastic spoons to eat the soup with, I have spoken to a number of regulars who say this is not an enjoyable experience any longer and will not be going to… Read Full Review

Greggshelpsupportparody's Response to Chrismscott's Review

Written on: 15/07/2014

Hello, this is Greggs Support.

We are very sorry to here this and would like to inform you we are taking this very seriously. On your next visit to Greggs, call in and ask to see the manager, then, stand by the cold drinks and summon the manager with a long owl call.

Then, and only then, tell the manager you're there to see 'Bert about a boy.' He will give you a £25 pound discount.

We are extremely sorry and hope we do not lose your custom.
