    Good Points: Totally out of this world! The value for money was totally amazing, we were given a free 2 night cruise and even upgraded to a water villa! The staff went beyond the call of duty, amazing choice of food (and I am hard to please when it comes to food!). Reef was spectacular - even better than snorkeling at an island I stayed on in the great barrier reef in OZ!


    Bad Points: Could not find one about the actual island!
    However, we booked the holiday through "First Choice" ..... never again! The airline isn't to my liking!!


    General comments: The best holiday of my life. Travelled extensively, been all over the world but Meru far exceeded my expectations.
    Went for just one week ... just enough, I think if we went for 2 weeks I would get restless as I like to be on the go!

    Highly recommended. The Atoll Meru Island Resort is probably not the best in the Maldives, but you WILL have a good holiday in great settings, and there are worse ways to spend two weeks of your life.

    Now where's that credit card?

    What a great holiday. We stayed in a Jacuzzi Villa at the northern tip of the island. Whilst it was a long, long walk to get to the restaurants, bars, reception area etc, the beach was right outside the door, and the beach was what we came for. The best snorkelling reef was just a few meters off shore and I saw huge rays, moray eels, trigger fish, lobster, box fish, angels, reef sharks, sea slug etc etc. Room was serviced twice a day, with a different pattern to our sheets every night in the tur ...
