    Good Points: Location, value for money.


    General comments: We read several reviews for the Osbourne Hotel in Edinburgh, not all complimentary by any stretch of the imagination. However, we booked it based on price and location and I think it is hard to beat. We had a very large family room with 4 proper beds (Dble & 2 sgle) with en suite and paid £100 per night for B & B in festival time.
    Yes it is on a main road, which is busy most of the time and therefore noisy - but if you stay in the city centre at festival time what do you expect?
    No it doesn't have acres of trendy blonde wood and comfy leather settees - but if it is just a base to explore what the city has to offer does this matter?
    No they don't ask what you want for breakfast, it is a buffet and you help yourself - but if you are on a budget, you can eat enough to miss out on another meal in the day!

    I would recommend this on the above basis.
