“try cancelling your contract ! hahahaha - no way allowed”

written by rjh39 on 26/08/2020

Have my email from them confirming after my 46 min on hold (you cant cancell online you have to speak to c/s)my account is cancelled. Yet they continue to reinstate my direct debit, even though cancelled by me at bank. THIS IS A CRIME, using previously known info to start an unauthorised direct debit, but hey We're Virgin Mobile, we can do what ever we want.... no monies due, agreed with their overseas agent on my call. DON TOUCH THIS COMPANY it has nothing at all to do with the airline guy - he sold it, took his money and ran....

I have been with Virgin since it started and have all their services. I wouldn't recommend them to my worst enemy Al Capone was an honest gentleman compared to Sir Richard.customer service is abysmal,no U.K.call team.India or Philippines. Yours totally exasperated.

me too - totally agree. All good, for years, until you need customer service (for me to cancell my sons mobile as he had moved to another provider). They still trying to take direct debit, agent confirmed email states acc closed. billing dont seem to be in the loop. 2020 is just as bad as it was in 2014 - DO NOT TOUCH VIRGIN MOBILE - or if you ignore us, dont complain later

I absolutely love virgin mobile it has great plans, i mean would not love to pay $25 for a monthly cellphone plan. i love virgin mobile and will always stay true to no contracts. last time i had a contract with t-mobile and my first bill came to $400 and i guarantee you i did not use that much. I hated them because after that i had to wait to get a new phone so that i do not have to pay that huge as bill. i love the lg optimus v it is a great phone and i do not know why anyone would say it is a bad phone cause it really isn't and it works just like the iphone. my respects to virgin mobile. there phones are pretty expensive but they are good and i rather pay that then have a dang contract.

He was rude, no good customer service skills at all. Wanted to send me the same phone a third time paid for insurance that dont apply. Would not give me a different type of phone. I hate virgin mobile. I am discusted. Please do it right or not at all. Worst cell phone company ever... They r just scamming people. If they r gonna compete with the big guys they should have big guess rules. VIRGIN MOBILE SUCKS.

★☆☆☆☆

written by on 07/11/2010

The worst mobile company I have ever dealt with. Wasted time and money trying to cancel, was put on hold but kept getting cut off. Overcharged on last bill so could have happened before without knowing. Very ignorant customer care man when trying to cancel, wish I had got his name because he should be dismissed. Would not recommend to my worst enemy.

written by on 01/09/2009

Their billing is the worst in the world. They over charge OVER AND OVER AND OVER. Money vanishes from my phone without a record of where it went.

Today I discovered that Virgin Mobile has been charging me an extra 10 cents every day for "WAP access", because apparently I ONCE went online and so VM then charges you EVERY DAY from that point on.

Yeah, the refunded me the 3 dollars that I could prove was charged, but they refused to admit they have any records older than 30 days, and refused to admit they had been charging me an extra 3 bucks a month for the last 5 years. That's 180 bucks Virgin Mobile stole from me.

Virgin Mobile >Took 3 weeks to port my number! Meanwhile, I had no service but they still charged me for service! Also, they double billed EVERY single month! I had to spend 30 min on phone trying to get a credit back to my mastercard. The second time, they credited it in the form of credit to my VM account! I didn't approve that - they just did it and I had already told the lady I was going to cancel! Now I'm having to file disputes with the credit card.

“I have previously been with Virgin on a pay as you go...”

★★★★★

written by riker on 19/02/2009

I have previously been with Virgin on a pay as you go basis. They were really helpful when I asked for my PAC to port over to Vodafone. Now they have some great contracts from £8.50 per month over 18 months for 100 minutes and texts with an unusually good choice of free handsets. I am now returning to Virgin on contract. I placed my order over the website but I had to ring their Customer Services as I never had an email due to my chosen handset going out of stock. They rang me back when the handset was available next day and also rang me back to take the PAC number. They even gave me the date when the number would be ported within 2 days. I am quite impressed at the moment and hope to stay with Virgin for some time. Also I talked a friend into buying a new pay as you go handset - she was already with Virgin and got a discount of £40!

“First off, I tried ordering a new mobile online -...”

★☆☆☆☆

written by TM50 on 24/09/2008

First off, I tried ordering a new mobile online - their website doesn't work for me- never has and probably never will. Next I tried emailing them - they are very keen on their automated responses but nothing that actually solves your problems. Tried phoning them - they gave me two options to start with, neither of which I required but in my despair had to choose one anyway....when I finally get through to an operator I am informed that I "probably" need to send them my driving license because I "probably" haven't passed their credit check....and then I have to phone "sales" to re-place my order. Weariness. So I phone "sales" where I get the pleasure of sharing my personal details with some person who eventually (after nearly an hour!) informs me that I should be getting 3 confirmation emails followed by next day delivery of my phone. I wait...and wait....and wait....and one week later, still no emails and certainly no phone. I contact them again only to get the same script - by this point my fuse has blown and I tell them where to go!
I have now switched to Tesco mobile who will surely have to go some length to exceed Virgin mobile!!! >:(

“I went with Virgin Mobile because I have tried...”

★☆☆☆☆

written by yttap on 22/05/2007

I went with Virgin Mobile because I have tried T-Mobile. I signed a 2 year contract. I got no service, and T-Mobile cancelled my contract because engineers that belonged to their company said I could not get service. I was not contract phone smart at that time. To cut a long story short...It cost me $400.00 for breach of contract. My contract did state that no matter the reason of breach, I would be responsible for the $400.00. I AM NOT A HAPPY CELL PHONE USER!!! NOW I'm still trying to get a contract phone service.

Folks...tell me why WE have to sign a contract??!! Hey, we are the customer!!! Why do we have to continue to send phones back and use our valuable time in doing so?

“I purchased a VM phone from Virgin Mobile as a...”

★☆☆☆☆

written by entropy49 on 06/06/2006

I purchased a VM phone from Virgin Mobile as a mother's day gift for my mother. The phone was never able to be programmed. They had me send it back to them, and they said they would send me a new phone. FedEx picked up the phone, but I had to contact Virgin Mobile to find out when they would be sending the new one. They said that the order was never placed, so they placed another order for the new phone and said that I would be getting it within 2 days, and that I could call back the next day to get a tracking number for the new phone. When I did so, they again said that there was never an order placed, and yet again they placed an order for the new phone. I told them that I just wanted my money back (they have the money that I spent on the phone, and for the initial service that I have never been able to use). They said that they have made it right and that I should have the phone in another 2 days. I have yet to use a phone or the service after 6 weeks. They still have my money and I have no phone.
