Simply put bride be lovely shop ruined my wedding -

At first they were nice, but then my dress was late, and I was told this was my fault somehow; and every step of the way after this I was treated like dirt for even mentioning anything I was unhappy with.

I didn't trust them to do the alterations seeings how they couldn't even get my dress in on time.

The managers are HORRIBLE and have no concept whatsoever of what customer service in a corner shop should be like, let alone a shop where you will by the most important dress of your life.

Please save yourself the heartache and go somewhere else.

To cut a long story short, I had ordered a dress from Bride Be Lovely in Manchester with veil and tiara, in March 2009 for my wedding that will be held in August next year. I had paid £200 and my order came to £900. However as a bride does, I went to the shop to view my dress and it was not there for me to view. I spoke to the Assistant and asked if I could change my order if I wanted because I had not been fitted for anything, she was very rude towards and got a another member of ...

I loved Bride Be Lovely. My Partner and I are having a civil partnership and both of us will be brides. We were seen by one shop assistant who was really really helpful, friendly and non judgemental. She knew what dresses would suit our figures and really made us feel at ease. They had quite an extensive range of dresses and many sizes available in the store.

I had a bag with me with a hat and travel brochures in it, they put it away for me whilst I was trying on dresses I accidently left it be ...

My daughter and I visited Bride Be Lovely in November. The assistant could not have been more helpful. My daughter tried and one dress and was sure this is the one. We had an appointment at another bridal shop, we went but she could not get the dress out of her mind. We went back and the assistant had picked out another few dresses ready for our return. Having tried all the others on (about 10 of them!) she went back to the first dress and bought it and also bought a beautiful tiara. This shop i ...

My daughter chose a dress from the sale rack - fell in love with it straight away, there was a very good choice and reasonably priced. The first fitting was around 6 weeks before the wedding. Fittings are only done during the week and there is no late night opening, my daughter teaches at school and was unable to get time off during the week, yet the staff were very obliging and agreed to a Sunday fitting to accommodate us. It wasn't mentioned to us at the time of buying the dress, that there ...

Staff on the shop floor at Bride Be Lovely were very helpful at initial visit.

We went into Bride be Lovely looking for bridesmaids dresses in April for an August wedding. After trying on loads of different styles/colours, the bridesmaids found something that everyone was happy with. We paid extra for express delivery to make sure the they arrived on time and left feeling quite positive. In early July we had a call to say the dresses were in stock and made an appointment to get the bridesmai ...

Bride Be Lovely, Manchester - I will start at the beginning.... tried and ordered the dress on before Christmas and yes, when I went in the staff seemed really helpful and the dresses offered value for money (mine costing under six hundred pounds). But that is where I feel the good times ceased! I was originally told that I would get a call to let me know when my dress was in, all I got was the final invoice through the post asking me for the balance. I then rung up to check the dress was th ...

After reading other peoples comments on Bride Be Lovely in Manchester i feel a little hard done to.

I bought my dress in June 2007 with a view to being married in July 2008 but my fianc became very ill and we have had to stall the wedding to September 08. I did in fact get my dress in the sale and got a really good bargain for a beautiful dress. I didn't even realise that there was a private dressing area as I was never offered access to it - i was told there's the changing room and the mi ...

I walked into Bride be Lovely on a Saturday afternoon from the wedding fayre being held in Manchester. I was approached by an assistant, who was extremely helpful, listened to my thoughts, was informative and a lovely person in general. I was under no impression of being rushed and I didn't have an appointment, this was literally a spur of the moment decision to try some dresses. She explained the styles/the sales/the timescales and much more to me, gave me some tags to chose different dresses a ...

I had seen a dress that I liked when I went in on my lunch hour. I said I would come in on Saturday to try on, the girl suggested I book an appointment as they were very busy which I did.
When we arrived on Saturday, the girl who I had booked with said look round & pick some as she was busy serving someone else.
I chose about 6 & looked round for the girl but she was now serving someone else. After over 5 mins waiting I decided to just try on myself. Another member of staff wanted me to try ...

Genually happy and willing to help. Helped you in the dress in a private dressing area. Once in the dress you could walk round in the private area without the rest of the shop/customers seeing you. Could try on the dress as many times as you liked on the day and pinned the dress to fit your body type.

I went to Bride Be Lovely on a Saturday in January. We had booked an appointment and were welcomed into the shop. The staff seemed like they really knew what they were doing. I was a little disappointed as it was the first shop I had been in to look for my wedding dress, as i browsed through them I noticed many of them looked very cheap with the beading and fabrics etc. I chose 4 to try on and one of them was really nice, the staff were explaining where alterations would be made and seemed like ...

I went into Bride Be Lovely in Manchester after my housemate rang to tell me about a dress he had seen in the window. So I went in to have a look. The staff in the shop were very helpful & explained about the different dresses, & I picked 5 dresses to try on. I only needed to try 1 on, which the assistant recommended first. It fit perfectly & I looked like a princess. The assistant also picked a tiara to match the dress, & I now have the full ensemble. She even worked out a great ...

I had a pretty good idea of what I wanted, and the sales assistant at Bride Be Lovely in Manchester understood first time, and only showed me dresses in that style. In the end I chose a simple dark ivory dress for 450 pounds, which turned out to be last years stock, and 45 pounds, not 450!! It fit perfectly, with no need for any alterations at all; not even dry cleaning.

The shop is very close to the Arndale Centre. Could be a bit more modern inside, but the staff and service cannot be fau ...

I popped in to this store with my mum and sister's last weekend, to look at tiara's, and I wasn't sure which one suited me. The shop assistant was patient with me and gave me good advice, and I walked out a happy customer. I'd recommend Bride Be Lovely in Manchester to any bride to be.

The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. I was offered extra money off a sale dress to allow for alterations to be in my budget. It was the only bridal store in Manchester that offered us a wide variety of none white dresses and I didn't have to make an appointment. They made us feel welcome and were not snobby which I had found in other stores and so left. I would recommend Bride Be Lovely to my friends!

From the outside of this shop I would never have considered going in for my bridal gown in a million years, if it wasn't round the corner from my best mate's flat and we just popped in on the off chance!

The decor leaves a lot to be desired, and Bride Be Lovely in Manchester is not the kind of shop you imagine your dress coming from, or at least if like me you've been picturing 'the dress' since you were 10!

However, after just popping in for a look, I ended up trying on three dresses. I ...
