Bad Points: Can never find my payment docket/at one point said they didn't have my dress/never seem to be interested and always say 'oh yes you bought it in the SALE' !!!!!
General comments: After reading other peoples comments on Bride Be Lovely in Manchester i feel a little hard done to.
I bought my dress in June 2007 with a view to being married in July 2008 but my fianc became very ill and we have had to stall the wedding to September 08. I did in fact get my dress in the sale and got a really good bargain for a beautiful dress. I didn't even realise that there was a private dressing area as I was never offered access to it - i was told there's the changing room and the mirrors outside here!!! I have called to make several payments towards the cost of my dress and every time they can't find my details and was terrified when they said - oh we dont seem to have a dress for you either!!!!!! They have since confirmed that they have the dress but I live in constant fear of there being a problem. They have advised that I should keep dress with them till alteration fitting on 9/8/08 and then collect after that but I am paying the balance next week and think I am going to bring it to my mums and find a seamstress to do the alterations.
If I had not fell in love with this dress I think I would have cut my losses and gone looking for another.
I have been a little too polite I think - Bridezilla is the way to go - at least they get what they want and no one argues with them LOL

I walked into Bride be Lovely on a Saturday afternoon from the wedding fayre being held in Manchester. I was approached by an assistant, who was extremely helpful, listened to my thoughts, was informative and a lovely person in general. I was under no impression of being rushed and I didn't have an appointment, this was literally a spur of the moment decision to try some dresses. She explained the styles/the sales/the timescales and much more to me, gave me some tags to chose different dresses a ...

I had seen a dress that I liked when I went in on my lunch hour. I said I would come in on Saturday to try on, the girl suggested I book an appointment as they were very busy which I did.
When we arrived on Saturday, the girl who I had booked with said look round & pick some as she was busy serving someone else.
I chose about 6 & looked round for the girl but she was now serving someone else. After over 5 mins waiting I decided to just try on myself. Another member of staff wanted me to try ...

Genually happy and willing to help. Helped you in the dress in a private dressing area. Once in the dress you could walk round in the private area without the rest of the shop/customers seeing you. Could try on the dress as many times as you liked on the day and pinned the dress to fit your body type.

I went to Bride Be Lovely on a Saturday in January. We had booked an appointment and were welcomed into the shop. The staff seemed like they really knew what they were doing. I was a little disappointed as it was the first shop I had been in to look for my wedding dress, as i browsed through them I noticed many of them looked very cheap with the beading and fabrics etc. I chose 4 to try on and one of them was really nice, the staff were explaining where alterations would be made and seemed like ...

I went into Bride Be Lovely in Manchester after my housemate rang to tell me about a dress he had seen in the window. So I went in to have a look. The staff in the shop were very helpful & explained about the different dresses, & I picked 5 dresses to try on. I only needed to try 1 on, which the assistant recommended first. It fit perfectly & I looked like a princess. The assistant also picked a tiara to match the dress, & I now have the full ensemble. She even worked out a great ...

I had a pretty good idea of what I wanted, and the sales assistant at Bride Be Lovely in Manchester understood first time, and only showed me dresses in that style. In the end I chose a simple dark ivory dress for 450 pounds, which turned out to be last years stock, and 45 pounds, not 450!! It fit perfectly, with no need for any alterations at all; not even dry cleaning.
The shop is very close to the Arndale Centre. Could be a bit more modern inside, but the staff and service cannot be fau ...

I popped in to this store with my mum and sister's last weekend, to look at tiara's, and I wasn't sure which one suited me. The shop assistant was patient with me and gave me good advice, and I walked out a happy customer. I'd recommend Bride Be Lovely in Manchester to any bride to be.

The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. I was offered extra money off a sale dress to allow for alterations to be in my budget. It was the only bridal store in Manchester that offered us a wide variety of none white dresses and I didn't have to make an appointment. They made us feel welcome and were not snobby which I had found in other stores and so left. I would recommend Bride Be Lovely to my friends!

From the outside of this shop I would never have considered going in for my bridal gown in a million years, if it wasn't round the corner from my best mate's flat and we just popped in on the off chance!
The decor leaves a lot to be desired, and Bride Be Lovely in Manchester is not the kind of shop you imagine your dress coming from, or at least if like me you've been picturing 'the dress' since you were 10!
However, after just popping in for a look, I ended up trying on three dresses. I ...

The Bride Be Lovely store in Manchester has a good range of dresses on offer. The general shop environment is a little shabby and could do with an update. Staff are quite pleasant. Getting no satisfaction from our complaint shows the general attitude of the company rather than the staff in the shop.

Additional stress now added. I have to find somewhere to store my dress for seven months, and somebody to do the alterations. I have also had to e-mail the dress designer at Bride Be Lovely in Manchester to ask for advice on how best to store the dress to avoid any damage, as I will need to remove it from this cheap plastic bag. I will not be able to cook anything in case the smell is transferred to the fabric, which will mean another expense of cleaning. I have to try to do all this before ...

I've still not bought my wedding dress yet but I went to Bride Be Lovely last week to try some on and the staff was very very helpful and friendly. They made us feel so comfortable and relaxed. I'm still deciding what dress to get but it will probably be from there.

I visited Bride be Lovely, hoping for a pleasant experience of trying a wedding dress on. The sales woman was trying to tell me what I would like and I know what suits me and what doesn't. I felt extremely intimidated and will not be visiting this shop again.

I have been to the Bride Be Lovely shop in Manchester for 2 weddings now. First my mums, and now my own. The staff are fantastic! they are very helpful and have lots of useful tips. I shopped all round to find the perfect dress and so did my mum, and this was the best place for choice.
I found 2 dream dresses here, and I had to make a decision and usually it takes me forever to find one I like.
The prices were so reasonable, and even the bridesmaid dresses are spot on.
