I would highly recommend the bridal house in Leeds! Their dresses are top quality and the service is even better. I went to many different shops whilst looking for my dress and hands down without a doubt was the best by far. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful and made me and my mum feel very welcome. Merle and her team are fantastic. The service I got was first class. I am 49yrs old and was a bit worried that the shop would be full of young brides, that was not the case at all. I first called the shop to make an appointment and only did it a few days in advance as work commitments mean its difficult getting the time off. However the accommodated me on the Friday at 11. She asked when the wedding was, to which I replied 2014, at which point she lost complete interest, told me that all the dresses will change in that time etc, and that I need an appointment anyway. Had the exact same experience last week... getting married in august next year (2013) and like you ushered out of the door and told to look at their website for ideas online when i only wanted a browse an idea of styles. walked round to berketex that is just located on the corner and they couldnt do enough for me it didnt matter that i didnt have an appointment they fussed around me and i ended up falling in love with my dream dress and put a deposit down straightaway to me choosing your dress is the most exciting part before the actual day and to be treated so rudly is embarrassing. There are ways of talking to people and bridal house to me need training on their customer service skills....

no dear I dont think so we are not in the habit of ushering people out of the door not true we allways ask you to make appointments if you dont have one but we cant fit people in on busy days no matter how we try if the book is full we are not perfect but certainly we are not rude.

I recently purchased two bridesmaid dressed from The Bridal House in Leeds. The dresses arrived earlier than expected and all fittings and alterations were carried out very professionally. The owner was friendly and her staff extremely understanding, especially when i had a hissy fit in the shop. The process of purchasing my dress from this shop was an uncomfortable one. They appeared to be very money orientated rather than customer focused and put alot of pressure upon me to order my dress. Very friendly and welcoming at first, we chose 3 Bridesmaid dresses, which were not cheap! but looked lovely. The girls were measured up and dresses ordered. When they came only one fit right and the other two were a lot smaller and too tight for the bridesmaids. I think they didn't measure right at all, I had to pay for the pleasure of them putting it right. The owner is snooty and rude once she has your money and any problems occur. these bridaesmaids were measured on the dsay of purchase one was pregnant i explained we do not have any controll of her shape and neither did she but we would our best to acomodate her which turned out reasonable but not perfect we admitt but the third bridesmaid onreturning for fittings had put 5 inches on her hips this makes fittings very awkward so we were not happy with the outcome ourselfs but this was not down to bad measuring at all and as for being rude no matter what we say somtines we just cant win ,

Bridal House was the first shop I tried in my hunt for the perfect wedding dress. The staff were lovely and extremely helpful. With the help of Gill, I chose 8 dresses to try on and the 2nd one turned out to be my dream dress and a good price too. I would recommend the Bridal House with hesitation. I thought I had found the dress of my dreams. Throughout my fittings and weight loss the staff were helpful and walking out of the shop, I looked forward to my wedding. The last fitting I had they had put pins in the dress and I was told that it would be completed for a family member to collect as I was going to be away. I spent £700 there, including alterations which weren't even done. The staff were incredibly rude and were not accomodating in the slightest. They basiscally called my 11 year old bridesmaid overweight, who was virtually in tears when we left the shop. You made the whole experience traumatising for me and the bridesmaids. I would not recommend this shop to anyone. I had to contact them 4 weeks before my wedding to see if my dress had arrived...it had, they forgot to ring me. I loved my dress when I picked it.They altered it so badly, and only to make less work for themselves, that the dress was ruined. It looks awful in all my photos. The Bridal House dresses were really nice and of good quality, although they were the most expensive dresses I have viewed so far and I have been to 7 different shops within Leeds, Wakefield and Bradford. The dresses were dirty with make-up and looked like they hadn't been cleaned.
The lady who helped me was a star though, she helped me with styles that suited and didn't suit and talked about Bridesmaids and colour options with the dresses. She wasn't pushy and made me feel as comftorable...

The Bridal House, Leeds offers good service, value for money, not sizeist and offer the experience other retail outlets lack. I cannot speak highly enough of the bridal house for the service i received and the way the staff treated me, being of above average weight i had several bad experiences in other so called bridal establishment to the point where i felt like an alien from another planet.

I would recommend The Bridal House in Leeds to anybody. After visiting the other bridal stores in Leeds, I was feeling like I would never get a dress on my budget, as they all made me feel bad. That is until I walked into The Bridal House, where their down-to-earth, friendly staff helped me to get the gown of my dreams. The Bridal House in Leeds was the first shop I visited. I was actually looking for a dress at the time, and I was just shopping in Leeds when I spotted a dress in the window, and I immediately fell in love. I booked an appointment to try it on, and the staff were amazing. I felt like an absolute princess. They made me feel so welcome, I had the dress on for about an hour and a half.
