I met the Leeds Mia Sposa team at a wedding fair in Harrogate this is a family run business who also own the huddersfield Mia Sposa. All seemed well and i was dealt with in a professional way at the show, having tried on a dress i liked i later decided to go ahead and purchase the dress, i live in Middlesbrough and could have sourced the dress a lot closer but i wanted a friendly professional service and decided it would be worth the journey to leeds for the experience. I spoke with the... (read more)

I bought my bridal gown from Mia Sposa Leeds and also my 3 bridesmaids dresses. At first everything was great until I realised the dress I tried on was a size 14 and was a perfect fit although needed taken in slightly around the bust. You can imagine my horror to find out the dress they had ordered for me was a size 12 so a whole dress size smaller. The manager blamed me for putting on weight despite losing 5 pounds since I ordered the dress. She was damn right rude and made life very... (read more)

I've spend £900 for my wedding dress in Pronuptia in Central London-they are now under the name MIA SPOSA bridal& Menswear- very conveniently considering all of the bad reviews they were receiving!
They took my measurements, and after couple of months they have called me saying that the dress is ready and ask me to come for my first fitting. I went there with my friend, although we did arrived much earlier than our appointed time, we thought that we can ask if they can see us earlier just... (read more)

I just need to say how happy I was with the service my friend and I received in their Grimsby store today. The 2 girls working upstairs were soooooooo nice. The gave their time and attention to meet all my friends requirements. Nothing was too much trouble including additional accessories. They were attentive, truthful and happy. They seemed to genuinely enjoy their jobs. Thanks for a pleasant experience and helping my friend to find the perfect dress. Excellent! (read more)

Please be warned before you spend any money here. All very nice friendly and helpful until you have paid.
Pronuptia, Huddersfield (also own Leeds store) have left me 3 days before christmas with a dress that does not fit.
The dresses where meant to arrive start of December and came 6 days before the shop shuts before Christmas.
I arranged for my fitting explaining I would be late due to work commitments travelled over an hour and when I arrived the shop was shut. When... (read more)

I am now married and I ordered my wedding dress and bridesmiads dresses from Pronuptia in Manchester. I could not have been happier with the service and most of all the advice I received. Initially I was nervous about looking and unsure. The advice I received gave me peac eof mind and everyone said how great I looked. My groom also hired five suits and they looked fantastic. Pronuptia HUDDERSFIELD is the best place to go for both value for money and the service. The staff there are extremely passionate about their jobs and strive to compliment and serve their customers with respect and excitement. The ladies who have served me throughout my dress process have been excellent and so helpful. They didn't rush or pressure me into purchasing anything when I went, if anything they tried their hardest to suit my style to what they had in stock. If I didn't like... (read more)

I went to pronuptia in South Woodford after visiting the Barnardo's charity shop for Brides (amazing). Pronuptia was a really cold uncomfortable atmosphere and I got fed up of trying on dresses really quickly. Some of the staff were friendly but the one trying my dresses on seemed very vague and couldn't care less. I agree with the bad reviews. (read more)

Pronuptia shop great, Staff started off great! couple of days before the wedding- awful!!!
They said all the suites for our wedding would be available on the Thursday before the Wedding, 2 out of 8 were missing. We insisted on trying them on in the store which was a good job because there was a lot of work needed. The 2 missing suites were promised next day before 12! Didn't arrive! In the end we had to travel to their Northampton and Leeds stores from Derby a day before the wedding. No... (read more)

Make sure you read everything before you sign your agreement! I recently bought a sample dress form the London Hatton Garden store. the service was OK but afterward I realised I had fallen for some clever sales tactics and am now stuck with a dress I dont want. there is no return option, or cooling off period, or option to even exchange with a sample dress. the most annoying and worst part of this is that I bought the dress in extremely good condition but when I returned a second time to... I bought my wedding dress from Pronuptia in Doncasterwhich wasn't a cheap dress in my view approx. £1000. Randomly out of the blue I got a letter stating that a must pay the £300 balance immediately or my dress was going to be sold. Generally the staff at Pronuptia Woking appear helpful. I had a very positive experience with very patient lady who helped me try on half a dozen dresses and for whom nothing was too much trouble. I agree with some of the other reviewers here that it would have been helpful to know more of the seamstress' charges before agreeing to use her services. Also, the seamstress is only available on Tuesdays which is not convenient if you work. (read more)

The dress from Pronuptia was six weeks late, when ordered £150 extra for it to be taken up to a specific length, when it did turn up, the dress was not altered. No communication that this hadn't been done. When we took this up with Pronuptia they refunded the money, however, six weeks before the wedding, i had to find a seamstress to do the work, as they have no instore facilities, and my trust in their competence was compromised. I bought my dress in the Edinburgh Pronuptia store September this year. The reason I bought it early was incase I may come across some hiccupps and boy has this happened. We approached this shop over a year ago and decided that we would buy/hire our wedding outfits from Pronuptia.....what a mistake. I should have cancelled when they called a week later saying that they had lost the bit of paper our order was on! This happened 3 times in as many months!

On arrival to the store, I entered to find no staff apparent on the shop floor- I think I passed the female member of staff smoking on the steps on the way in! I felt I had to make a comment as I had my dress, bridesmaids' dresses and men's hire from Pronuptia in Birmingham, and they were absolutely fantastic. We received a good service from Pronuptia suit hire up to the point the product was received, then it all went very pear shaped.

I ordered and paid for the dress from Pronuptia 10 months before my wedding, and I was told it would be ready in 16 weeks, which would have been February. It finally arrived the second week of April. It was the wrong size, and it was too late to do anything about it.
