I bought my wedding dress from Pronuptia in Doncasterwhich wasn't a cheap dress in my view approx. £1000. I paid £700 for my dress and was told the rest was due when I started to get fitted and make alterations. Randomly out of the blue I got a letter stating that a must pay the £300 balance immediately or my dress was going to be sold. I phoned them, there was no negotiations, no acceptance of my offer to pay teh £300 in a week or two, it had to be paid there and then. T ...

My husband and I spent alot of money in Pronuptia Romford and it was all completely wasted. They ruined my dress and made a complete pigs ear of all the suits.
I bought another dress and my husband went somewhere else.

We lost a lot of money. I have complained in writing loads of times. I have still not received a full refund.

    DO NOT SHOP HERE!!!

Generally the staff at Pronuptia Woking appear helpful. I had a very positive experience with very patient lady who helped me try on half a dozen dresses and for whom nothing was too much trouble. I agree with some of the other reviewers here that it would have been helpful to know more of the seamstress' charges before agreeing to use her services. Also, the seamstress is only available on Tuesdays which is not convenient if you work.

We spent over £2000 in Pronuptia in Doncaster in the mens wear department and my wedding dress and accessories. When my dress was ordered there was no mention to myself and my mum that there would be alteration charges. On my second fitting we were advised of the £65.00 charges and once checking with my mum that we werent advised of the charges on my first fitting. Rang the manager a week before i was due to pick up my dress and asked if they could waiver the alteration charges as ...

The staff at Pronuptia, Woking, were absolutely lovely, so helpful, and brought us every dress we wanted to try on, for over an hour. The were graceful and complimentary, and they played a large part in my wedding just by helping me select my dress.Very recommended store! Plus all their dresses are on sale now!

I have just collected my dress from Pronuptia in woking and am extremelly happy with all they have done for me. The service from the staff was second to none. I had a good experience throughout and they told me the approximate alterations cost(as this was decided by the seamstress, who is not employed by them) and I bought a dress bag in which to store my dress.

Excellent service, friendly staff and dresses at great prices at Pronuptia. They are by far one of the best shops around and whi ...

I went to PRONUPTIA WOKING last December to look for a dress. On the phone they are very nice and on my first fitting day, they were very helpful and the lady who helped me was very nice. I was able to choose a dress amongst the ones ive tried. On my next visit for alteration, the lady who helped me on my first fitting seemed to have changed. Before I purchased the dress, due to our budget we were able to bargain a little bit for the dress and also inquire how much will the alteration cost. We w ...

The dress from Pronuptia was six weeks late, when ordered £150 extra for it to be taken up to a specific length, when it did turn up, the dress was not altered. No communication that this hadn't been done. When we took this up with Pronuptia they refunded the money, however, six weeks before the wedding, i had to find a seamstress to do the work, as they have no instore facilities, and my trust in their competence was compromised. The whole experience was poor and not what you would imagi ...

I decided to look at dresses in Pronuptia in GRIMSBY after having a terrible experience in one of the local independant stores, where i had been treated like muck.
It was so different when i entered the Pronuptia shop. The staff were really friendly and more than willing to give honest advice. It took me 3 visits to choose my dress but i was never made to feel rushed.
we were so impressed that we decided to get our men suits fom their other shop and we were glad we did. 2 of the wedding part ...

I bought my dress in the Edinburgh Pronuptia store September this year. The reason I bought it early was incase I may come across some hiccupps and boy has this happened. Once I had paid my deposit I received a letter saying that the edinburgh store was to close and that my order would now be handled by the Glasgow store (by which I have never received contact from even to this day). So I thought ok might have to go a little further to get my dress but not a huge problem till this morning! I rec ...

We approached this shop over a year ago and decided that we would buy/hire our wedding outfits from Pronuptia.....what a mistake. I should have cancelled when they called a week later saying that they had lost the bit of paper our order was on! This happened 3 times in as many months!
They then hung bridesmaid dresses on children's hangers which resulted in one of the dresses falling in the road, the staff apparently just watched and I didn't see them attempt to help at all. During a fitting I f ...

I've had a great time at Pronuptia (Woking branch). I was very nervous about trying dresses but they encouraged me to try different styles. I bought a wonderful dress from them and could not have done it without their help.

I really needed to be looked after and I think that the assistant did the most brilliant job. I went back to buy my bridesmaids dresses on a Saturday and despite the shop being busy, they all gave me lots of attention. I have recommended them to everyone I know.

    I have read ...

This review is for Pronuptia Manchester. On arrival to the store, I entered to find no staff apparent on the shop floor- I think I passed the female member of staff smoking on the steps on the way in! I appreciate that people need breaks but bear in mind I had made an appointment and I didn't see her acknowledge me on the way in.Once in the shop this member of staff was slightly surly and not particularly helpful. I had no idea what sort of dress i wanted as this was the first time i had looked ...

Even after I had spent over half an hour on the phone with them before making my appointment. My appointment to try some dresses had been made for over three weeks.I also went their to try a particular Alfred Angelo dress which they told me they had there. After my friend drives from Reading to Essex, we then drive over an hour to Chelmsford ( only place I could find this dress ) only to be abruptly / rudely told it was not with them and they never had the dress. They even tried to tell me that I ...

I have orderd my wedding dress from Pronuptia in Hatton Garden and am due for a fitting on April 4th.
I tried on a range of dresses and found the manageress (she served me) to be very helpful and calming.
My concerns have only begun since ordering the dress however. I tried on a size 12 and it fit but was very snug around the hips so was advised to order a size 14.
Having read other reivews from a variety of sites, I am now nervous that it is going to be massive and that they have only suggest ...

I would recommend Pronuptia to friends, Staff are very helpful and polite. Only the manager seemed to work on pushy sales. If I hadn't been served by one of the other girls, I would not have bought anything.

I recently got married, and I purchased everything from the new Pronuptia in Cambridge. I got everything I asked for, and the service was amazing! They were really friendly and helpful. I have read other reviews from people, and all I can say is these other people obviously went to the wrong branch, as the staff at the Cambridge branch did everything to make me feel really special, and they even helped me by recommending places that I needed other stuff from.

The Woking store (my wedding dress) have been fantastic so far. Really friendly and helpful. The dress arrived much earlier than they said it would. I have yet to have my fittings, so I will keep you informed.

The Manchester Pronuptia store (bridesmaid dresses) - the dresses haven't arrived yet (ordered in November), but the wedding isn't until June, so that's not a problem. They have said they will call me when they come in (my sisters live in Manchester), and then once the dresses have been ...

We had no problems with Pronuptia. My husband and the best man both hired full suits and hats from this store and everything was perfect.
