Moss Bros - As part of a bridal party my boyfriend wanted me to pick up his suit in London but Moss Bros apparently got this wrong and he ended up having to take half a day off to get his suit from another store. The staff we dealt with throughout the whole process were poor and even got one of the other ushers tie completely wrong so that on the day instead of being caramel coloured it was red!
When I returned the suit it was suggested that I had not brought the correct shirt back as it was not apparently a 'Moss Bros' shirt when of course it was and after half an hour a member of staff realised that I was telling the truth.
I would never recommend Moss Bros or use them again!

I would definitely use Moss Bros hire again in Cardiff. It's a brand new store and looked very attractive. Polite service, it was a very busy Saturday, i was treated profesionally, it was just a shame for the staff that they were spoken by some very rude and unpatient people that was waiting alongside me. I had patience its a shame the minority could not have the same attitude.

I was part of the bridal party and although it was easy to get fitted up for the suit I was disappointed when it arrived to find that they had made a mistake on the shirt - mine was too small around the neck and cuffs (and I'm not huge). All of the rest of the guys had the same problem with the father of the bride finding dirty cuffs and marks all over his shirt. If you use them I would advise against hiring shirts - buy your own or hire from another outfitter. I won't be using them for my wed ...

Having given over our measurements, we turned up to try on the suits and found that they had ordered the wrong jackets. They promised to swap out the jackets in the carriers
We corrected the error with the jackets and tried on the new ones, but the stuff just left it to us to run an eye over them and see how they looked - they weren't interested at all - i had to check my friends and tell them what looked good/bad.

Moss Bros took 3 weeks to get one shirt in that we bought. They measured all the suits and on the day they came in for everyone to try on - they had taken the wrong measurements!!! This is 2 days before the wedding!!
They have now said that they are going to order some more suits and they should be in on Friday - THE WEDDING IS ON SATURDAY!! Not sure whether they will get the right sizes this time - if not the grooms men will have nothing to wear!

I needed to hire ten suits for my wedding, and after weeks of looking at all sorts of shops, I chose Moss Bros because they had what I wanted, and they were very friendly. They advised that we could collect the suits from elsewhere in the UK, as one person was travelling from afar. Then I paid the deposit, and it all went down hill from there. We had big problems with Moss Bros I wouldn't recommend at all. They are such a high profile company I think the customer service skills have been lost somewhere along the way. We dealt with five stores who were all useless.
You can hire suits from better places cheaper.

My husband initially went to Moss Bros. regarding suit hire. Not one of the waistcoats was in his size. Instead, for the larger sizes, they were backless. This wasn't good enough in itself, but the shop assistant actually mocked him about his size and proceeded to be extremely rude. Needless to say we left and told everyone!

I hired suits from Moss Bros. for my daughters wedding Sept 06. All the men were measured for their suits prior to the wedding. Four of the shirts did not fit. The trousers of one suit had a small hole. The pageboy's waistcoat needed repairing. I would not recommend this company.

Very helpful in store. The assistant let me try on EVERYTHING in stock! As my wedding guests are coming from all over UK, he could organise measurement and collection at each Moss Bros store closest to them. He offered me a discount (because of my job), and was even happy to lend us one of their handkerchiefs to ensure it matched the bridesmaids dresses!

Just hired a traditional morning suit for my wedding in July 2006. We were warned to stay away from Moss Bros but thought we'd check them out anyway. Couldn't be happier. The suit was perfect - the staff were friendly and helpful - I was not rushed or pressed into a 'sale'. When I couldn't decide on a colour for the waistcoat and cravat, I was brought lots of examples so I could consider them at my leisure.
They only lose points because they don't have shirts to try on (however, I'm not sure ...

I went into Moss Bros in Ashford Kent, and whilst trying on a dinner suit advertised at £179.00, the young assistant came to the changing rooms and advised me that the good news was that it was now £120.00 and also included a free shirt and bow tie.
