Finding where to start is the hardest part of this review. We used the moss bros store in princess square Bracknell. Awful service, rude arrogant staff ruined wedding photos. My daughter got married in March and all the suits were hired from Moss. On the morning of the wedding we were at a hotel in London. With one hour to go before we were due to leave, my husband went to put his outfit on to find that although the shirt was labelled 15 1/2 it was much too small and it turned out that it was actually a 14 1/2. There was no way he could do it up or hide it with the cravat. I was furious and we were extremely stressed. I rang the Ipswich branch where we had... (read more)

I have been Moss customer for a while and didn't had any issue until I have to return on of the item. Staff acted as if we committed a crime. Investigating the coat and asking all sort of questions. Claiming we didn't bring it back in the original bag. It was packed back just the way staff originally packed it for us. Staff behavior was so outrageous that we decided to just keep the damn thing, not worth the hassle. Raised complaint to the head office and hoped for the best. I would say,... (read more)

Moss Bros are a JOKE!!! I was usher at a friends wedding on 23.12.12. He chose Moss Bros as one of the other ushers was based in London. Firstly, when we arrived to be measured, they had forgotten about us coming in and made us wait an hour. The shop was not even busy (Bolton Store). that, I beg your pardon, but I can not sicubrsbe to your whole theory, all be it exhilarating none the less. It would seem to everybody that your commentary are actually not completely justified and in fact you are generally your self not entirely convinced of the assertion. In any case I did enjoy reading it.I do enjoy the way you have framed this specific concern plus it does give me a lot of fodder for thought. Nonetheless, because of what precisely I have witnessed, I only hope when the feedback pack on that individuals stay on issue and not start upon a tirade of the news du jour. All the same, thank you for this superb piece and although I do not necessarily concur with the idea in totality, I respect your viewpoint.Virtually all of what you mention is astonishingly precise and it makes me ponder the reason why I had not looked at this in this light previously. This piece really did turn the light on for me personally as far as this particular subject matter goes. But at this time there is actually just one position I am not really too comfortable with so while I attempt to reconcile that with the actual central idea of your position, permit me observe what the rest of the readers have to point out.Well done. The heart of your writing whilst sounding agreeable originally, did not really work very well with me after some time. Somewhere within the sentences you actually managed to make me a believer but just for a very short while. I however have a problem with your leaps in assumptions and one might do nicely to help fill in those breaks. In the event that you actually can accomplish that, I will surely be fascinated.Throughout this great pattern of things you'll receive an A+ for effort and hard work. Where you confused us was first in all the facts. You know, it is said, the devil is in the details And that could not be more true in this article. Having said that, allow me say to you just what did work. Your authoring is definitely pretty engaging and that is possibly the reason why I am making an effort to opine. I do not really make it a regular habit of doing that. Next, even though I can notice the jumps in logic you come up with, I am definitely not sure of exactly how you appear to unite the points that help to make the conclusion. For the moment I shall sicubrsbe to your issue however hope in the near future you actually connect your facts much better.

I have had a similar experience to leezob17 in Plymouth, Reading, Exeter and Chester. It took me going into the store over 5 times to correct their mistakes. Not small ones, huge ones. Wrong sizes, some of the ushers in pinstripe trousers some in plain trousers. Some were in high wing collar and some in standard collar shirts, some in cravats and some in ties. I corrected them all the first time and then realised that they had them all wrong again. Had to go in again and they corrected it in front of me and they made the same mistake again. My fathers suit was sent to chester even though he ordered and reqested it in EXETER. It was a complete shambles, took hours of my time and potentially could have ruined the photos that we spent £1000 on having done. The stores are always busy, staff are not attentive or helpful and it has just been a laborious and stressful task having to keep checking everyones order. When we collected the suits the grooms shirt was missing, the tie was the wrong colour so we had to buy one the day before the wedding and handkerchief, my father in law had to drive 3 hours to pick up my dads suit and bring it down and with all the stupid mistakes they made we ended up having everything that had been ordered attached to the bag meaning that each suited person in our party had 2 shirts, a cravat and a tie, 3 pairs of trousers of all kinds. We had to scrutinise what everyone was packing to come down in to make sure that no one brought the wrong stuff. Spending over £2000.00 on this company was not worth it. Not even a smile from the staff when ordering and having to consistently correct their mistakes right up before the wedding. If you use make sure you triple check everything throughout your experience and quadruple check again. NIGHTMARE and cost me a lot of time and stress which meant I missed out on important tasks for my wedding day.

have you ever got married, if so would you think sitting up until 2am the morning of your wedding sewing on buttons to shirts as the Moss Bros store thinks it's perfect to send shirts without any.
our suits were dirty and had blood on them I ended up spending a fortune of part of suits and shirts from elsewhere.
I was spent the lead up to the wedding either crying or in the moss bros store trying to sort things out. it was only when i contacted the MD did they stop calling and threatening me,

I'm amazed that so many people fall for the alterations scam. As a former salesman, this is one of the oldest 'value enhancement' scams. They salesman always select trousers that are too long for the customer and then say: 'these will have to be altered' for which we charge £13. In reality as soon as you leave the store, the garments are put on a rack and at the end of the shift, the trousers are swapped for an in stock pair of the right size (check your trousers: if they have a seam they... As an employee of Moss Bros who has worked for the company for 7 years I have to say that your comments about alterations are not true.

All of our suits are displayed on the shop floor as they come for customers to see. All come with a waist 6 inches smaller than the chest i.e a 40 inch chest comes with a 34 inch waist. All regular length jackets come with a regular length trouser, short jackets come with short trousers and so on. (All of the trousers say the waist size and the leg length on the inside if anyone wanted to check).

£13 is charged by the store to cover the cost of dropping off/collecting the alterations, the actual work done and the cost/time involved in processing the bill etc.

All Moss Bros suits are not made in Asia (again, check the label and you can see where the suit is made). Also the figure of £12 to manufacture is ridiculous.

The majority of suits Moss Bros sell are brands that are bought in (at considerable cost) i.e Ted Baker, Lambretta, Daniel Hechter, Cerruti, Paul Smith, Peter Werth etc etc, none of which are considered 'shoddy suit makers'.
