The whole design of the phone is very good, Nokia do seem to have kept to the same way of doing things with their phones and having owned one of their old brick style phones some years ago I quickly worked out how to use the main features. The style is very pleasant to look at and hold, not so light and small that I would lose it, yet tiny enough to fit in my smallest handbags.
Basically I only use a mobile phone to make the occasional call and some text messaging, but my son has a tendency...

Overall, the Nokia 3330 works well for people whose requirement is for cell phone with all the basic features. Moreover, it has the additional benefit of supporting the animated pictures and picture messages. I have stored quite a few good ringtones on it and it works well with monophonic ringtones. Works well with SMS and other power sim functions that my cellular company offers. You can download ringtones, picture messages, operator logos, etc. on this set and it realy satisfies me in... Nokia 3330 - I have had this phone for 2 years and it still hasn't let me down yet. It is a simple phone but quickly runs low on battery, and the inbox can only hold approximately 4-5 messages. It has nice covers available and is easy to hear. It vibrates and can be switched to silent from general very easily. It is a good phone for somebody who has never had one before and who doesn't expect too many fancy things. (read more)

I got my Nokia 3330 almost 2 years ago and I still like it, it does the job. Nothing fancy compared to newer phones and signal can be bad were I live. But I only use it mainly for text and the odd call (emergencies really). Thought about changing it a few times, but so far can't see an as good and easy to use phone. (read more)

I bought this Nokia 3330 mobile phone from ebay and it didn't come with a manual but it is soooo easy to use that I didn't need one. The battery lasts for at least five days and there is always a signal so it is a pretty good phone if you want something simple. I got rid of it though becuase I wanted a camera phone and I am definitely regretting it. My new fone takes ages to turn on and there are so many options I don't know how to use all the extra features I paid another hundred quid for!... (read more)

I've kept the Nokia 3330 to the point where I want to destroy it in whatever way possible. It has cut out on me (not battery related) 13 times in 5 months!!! It has now lost all of my numbers and all of the games have turned blank or they have crashed. I have reset it before, but I won't bother next time. It had great games, WAP and it's a good size but it's really let itself down by being prone to constant unreliablity. Not impressed. (read more)

I have the Nokia 3330 mobile phone for almost 2 years. For some months it started to switch itself off in the middle of the conversation, but never in standby.

The phone would cut out (not battery related) after a few second into a conversation. When receiving SMS there would be ASCI charaters and a message "Some text missing". Many time the phone would not work and give a message "Please insert SIM card" When switching off and back on again and entering the PIN it would work - for a while. I had this phone for well over a year, and like all Nokias, it served me well. The WAP is incredibly easy to use, the battery decent and the predictive text is far superior to that of the Samsung A300 that I have now. The Nokia 3330 mobile phone itself isn't too small for me to use, even though I switched to it from an old 5110! The weight and slimline body are ideal for just slipping into a pocket, unlike the 5110 which looks obscene if you do that.
The phone is fine, except when it either heats up during long conversations (and your ear is fever temperature), or when it crashes and switches itself off. It doesn't necessarily do it when it's hot though!

Hi! I switched from the 3210 to the Nokia 3330 mobile phone. Anyway, just to explain the most common things I observed in Nokia 3330. First of all, Nokia 3330 is the best choice for an average user, plus it is actually meant for the young generation. Chatting+WAP are the features that Nokia emphasized most in this model. I reviewed the Nokia 3310 about a year ago and my words were pretty positive. I have been using Ericsson handsets for the last few months but, despite the apparent growing anti-Nokia feeling, moving back to a Nokia handset has been a welcome move for me.
My basic assessment of the 3300 series is this: If you want a phone for social use, buy it. If you are a business user, don't. The lack of any sort of data support will cripple business users, but the market at which the 3300 is aimed...

I think that this guy has chosen the wrong phone for his use. Clearly he wanted a business phone (which most motarola phones were), the 3330 was aimed at the teen market so things like PDA connections are absent. A more suitable phone would be Nokia 6210 or 6310.

I think this guy is not familir that in any Nokia phone menus can be very easily accessed by using shortcut keys, for eg, to see last call time( in 3330), you just need to press "menu45". You can also reach directly to any menu by pressing the shortct key, eg, press "menu7" to reach call divert directly. Also if you want to go to WAP (or "services" menu, as it is displayed in 3330) you just need to press menu and then up arrow key, and voila... you're there...!! :-)
As far as call timer is concerned, I whole hearted agree with him that a minute beeper, or at least a current call timer on screen is a must to keep your bill in control.

Sounds like the "standard" problem with the 3310. It happens to me all the time. I have one on Vodaphone, (3310, not 3310e) but when it gets hot, it freezes. If you hit the top "reset" button, it switches off, then comes back immediately. However, you can't actually use it at this point, I always have to wait 5 mins or so for it to cool down.

I also find that if I leave it in my shirt breast pocket, it tends to overheat from bodyheat alone. It switches itself off, and you have to switch it back on again. It's been doing this since I got it, but I don't use it that much, or rely on it, so I never bothered to upgrade/change it. My mate's been offered the chance of a free 3330 which is why I'm surfing for news on them. They appear to still have the same old problem...

I've had this phone for only two months, and I am already experiencing some problems with it. First of all, some of the menus do not load and my 3330 simply 'hangs'. When I try to enter 'Games', for e.g, the phone hangs for some time, and then turns itself off. The same thing happens when I try to use WAP, change a ringtone, a screensaver, or enter the composer. This phone is bulky, featureless, and has a comparatively limited battery life. The screen is not as bright as the 3310 has. I have been disappointed by this phone, and am definitely not going to recommend it. As an alternative I would recommend 3510i with color screen, which makes a good blend of style, features and value.
