    Good Points: Dressing up in 60's/70's style clothing


    Bad Points: The night I went it was over full, and so it was a bit of a squash


    General comments: I went to Flares in York on a Hens Party. By the time we got to Flares we had already been out for quite a few hours, and so we were probably a little worse for wear.

    The nightclub is rather amusing though, and you can buy wigs, shades, fake hairy chests and medallions over the bar.

    Looking around it was like a scene from Austin Powers, right down to the seating, which was either red leather or animal print.

    Believe it or not though, you still get your posers, who probably still do think that they are in the 60's/70's, and think that they are actually really cool - very funny to watch.

    Overall, we had a good laugh. The music is ace, and it is quite a relaxed atmosphere, as most people there do realise that they can not be taken seriously dressed like a 1960's throw back.
