Bad Points: One rep could not answer all our questions, but that is not the fault of the resort. Dinner buffet was not good (to my taste anyway). Having to be a 2h45pm in line to reserve your next day dinner or get up a 7h30 the next day to try and get a spot at the restaurant unless you go and see guest service then they arranges something.

General comments: Overall loved our stay although the weather was very bad (week of june 6 to 13) was raining all week but we visited and had fun anyway. Again not the Royal Decameron's fault. Very well maintained grounds. Staff very friendly and helpful. Food at the Al la Carte restaurants was very good. Beautiful resort. Mexican people know how to entertain. The shows are fabulous.

WE liked the bar staff, they were very friendly and all the new friends we met at the bars. The food is good the maids were friendly as well and allways kept our room clean thank you for that. Beach was vey nice and like the idea of that vendor hut on beach some nice things in there also got to see two weddings there and got to talk with the new couple kinda cool. Bucireas was very close to resort. When we arrived the bell boys took our bags right away and threw them on a cart with out haveing o ...

Beautiful landscaping, excellent customer service and food, lots of extras, stuff for all ages, always cleaning and sprucing it up. I would recommend this place to friends and family and I would return without any hesitation. Hotel is older but still nice

Good times. Like I said, this was my first all inclusive and I have to give it a 9. I've heard people complain about all inclusive resorts before, but Royal Decameron was clean, staff was very friendly, lot's of food and booze and the beach was very clean. Bring a travel mug for your booze. Remember what country you are in and have a great time!!!! I will be going back!!!! We rolled the dice and went towards the end of September and got very lucky with the weather. It was fantastic. Only ...

My family and two friends went to the resort in 2006 and had a great time. My wife & I and two friends went in 2007 and had a great time. 2008 it`s Cuba ' why'!!!. In 2009 we are going back to the Royal Decameron for two weeks. What can I say great resort, the food is great and only a 15 min walk to a nice little town of Bucerias. What a bang for your buck.

we enjoyed the week we stayed, food was good-always a good variety ---enjoyed their tacos, guacamole, salsa and always being able to get something hot off the grill each meal. Best drink was the chi-chi and pina-colada-my partner enjoyed the funky monkey, beer was always sol. You can take the kayaks out in the am and get very close to dolphins in the ocean, we also saw whales in the distance. We enjoyed our stay and thought it was a good value and would recommend going.

Lots of food, not the best quality, breads all white, never very fresh. Some restaurants were very good. Buffet was mediocure, they definetly need a better toaster, but generally good breakfasts. Bars serve very little alcohol in drinks, unless perhaps you are a heavy tipper. We tipped but reasonably so and it seemed to be expected rather than appreciated.

Don't forget the sunscreen and travel mugs from home! Bring small bills in American currency for tipping. We plan on a return trip.

I went with my parents, my brother and some family friends and we all loved it! I just got back to Canada before yesterday and I would love to go back again as soon as possible. I would recommend this to anyone especially people traveling in groups or with children. I had an amazing time and I'm very sad that it's already over. I would go back in a second.

We loved the Royal Decameron Puerto Vallarta and are going back with friends in a few months for our annual Thanksgiving trip. Anyone who complains about the food must be a very picky eater or not willing to expand their horizons. We love seafood so we were in heaven for the majority of our vacation. Also, we never ate dinner at the buffets so we cannot comment on those dinners. The resort is spread out but nothing was too far of a walk. We were in block five and it was only a 3 minute walk to t ...

I would visit again, everywhere is very friendly and clean, good variety in the food, Entertainment staff are motivated and produce excellent shows in the evenings.
A mention for Nancy who was our First Choice rep, she was very committed to our group and offered good advice and help all round.
The majority of visitors to the Royal Decameron Complex were friendly Canadians and they took an interest in us Brits. The staff were always helpful and with a smile.
I would love to spend more time in ...

All in all, our vacation to the Royal Decameron Complex in Mexico was a great vacation for the price. There were 40 of us there for a wedding, and while we all had minor problems, the pros outweighed the cons. Because it's a bit of a distance from PV, if you're looking for a vacation with lots of day trips, here is probably not the place to stay. But if you just want to unwind and relax, or get a little crazy (in the evenings there is the disco, and the beach and disco bars are open pretty late) ...

The little village of Bucerias is really close to the Royal Decameron Complex in Mexico, and it has an adorable little market with lots of handmade art and jewellery. Tip the staff. They don't make huge amounts of money. I suggest you bring your own travel mugs for the drinks, as the inclusive cups are really small.

I had an amazing trip at the Royal Decameron Complex. Two of my girlfriends and I went and we had a blast. The ocean is great, there are kayaks, sailing and boogie boards. The pools are very relaxing and there is always a bar nearby. It is easy to meet people and the staff of the resort are awesome. Make reservations for dinner whenever you can because the buffet food for dinner can get old. There are plenty of activities and things to see during the day and a disco and theatre at night. I would ...

Me and my Family stayed at Royal Decameron Complex Feb.14-28th and It was Great! We had Wonderful weather most of the time and everyone was really friendly. All I can say is This is a great Resort! At first I was a bit unsure of the hotel seeing some of the negative review made, but they were not true. We had a blast and I'd go back in a minute!

I enjoyed the spaciousness of Royal Decameron Complex; it was like being in a very small village. There was space for everyone. You definitely have many choices of where and what to eat and they actually have some Mexican food. I hate to say this but it was nice to share the place with other Canadians, a lot of Brits and people from Holland too. Not so many Americans as they were all up the road at the American style hotels. This place is more authentic and feels like you are submerged in M ...

    Royal Decameron Complex:
I would say all in all for the money we paid, you couldn't find better value. The beach is fantastic, you can walk for ever, Bucerias is fun to walk through and getting to Puerto Vallarta by bus is an adventure. We felt totally safe at RDC. If you want non stop fussing over you, pay more and go to a five star American style hotel. If you want to experience a taste of Mexico and like to do your own thing, come here and ENJOY!
