    Bad Points: none!


    General comments: Me and my family got stuck in hurricane Willma in 2006, we didn't have much time at the hotel but what we did experience was good, the staff were nice, the food was nice, the hotel was nice. We found the Mexican staff was more willing to help than our rep. Nice 3 days before we got evacuated to a school for 4 nights.

    This was a poor hotel and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone but US and Canadian youths between 17-21. Cancun is getting grotty too, the amount of cash pumped in via tourism should be reinvested in the basics like water supply, sanitation, drainage and footpaths without gaping holes in them. Lets just say that the resort is not a welcome site to anyone with kids or OAPs that like to see a little health and safety.

    On arrival, the stench of chemicals was overpowering as we entered the reception area. The room that we were allocated was appalling. We were situated directly above reception, with no balcony or windows. Airconditioning? What's that? The toilet did not flush, and the showers were not fit for human consumption. The standards were more like run down found in Greece, than the high standard we were told to expect from Cancun.

    The all-inclusive food was often cold, with many flies in the restau ...

    Cancun, Club Las Perlas Hotel - The Airtours rep at this hotel charged us £120 each to move hotels, a complete scam, but we were willing to pay anything to get out of Las Perlas!
    Once we saw the turquoise sea at our new hotel, compared to the murky bay at Las Perlas, we could finally start to enjoy our holiday!
    I would not recommend this hotel to anyone, and if Airtours wish to keep a good reputation, they should remove this hotel from their brochure!
