Good Points: When you arrive, the welcoming from the staff is warm, polite and makes you feel right at home. You can turn up, get your key and be in your room, all in one minute with the ability to fill in your registration form as you please. The rooms are very spacious, with curtains within the room to give privacy for individual persons. The rooms has a decent sized TV, a double bed and a sofa bed, lots of storage for winter clothes, posh and inviting bathroom facilities with an acceptable shower. The cleaning is also very good and they will look out for when you leave for breakfast so you will return to a tidy room. The restaurant is cosy and the food is no worse than a 5 star restaurant. They are especially good with any allergies. The bar area is spacious, with great service and a large choice of drinks and cocktails. The spa is wonderful, with a sauna, large heated swimming pool and you can have massages and other treatments, but at an inflated price. There is also a games room with tablet tennis and table football.

Bad Points: The food is quite adventurous and the main menu not very suitable for young children but a childrens menu is available, and they are likely to cook you anything you want. There are no steps down to the village, and you can either walk down the slopes, (which can be quite busy) or walk down the road, which can be a long and tiring walk. This can mean that when renting skis, the walk up to the hotel is difficult. The main problem is the price, which is slightly more expensive that most other hotels in Oburgurgul, but the quality of service, accomodation and food will probably make up for this

General comments: The location of Gotthard Zeit Hotel is great, with the ability to ski to and from the main lifts and the ski school meeting place. One thing that is very rare for you to find is free wifi internet access, and if you don't have a laptop, they will supply you with one, totally free of charge. Ski equipment storage is perfectly located at the exit and boot warmers ensure that your feet wont get cold. The hotel is also the perfect size, not too small to be isolated, but not too big to not get any attention from the staff. All of the rooms overlook the slopes and the village so you are guaranteed a great view. All together, a great hotel, with few criticisms, and definitely one of the top hotels in Oburgurgul

The ability of skiing to and from the door of the Gotthard Zeit Hotel was one of the highlights. The food was excellent all round. Overall an excellent hotel, and heartily recommend if you can afford the price.
