The handle bars on the Honda VTX 1300c could have been set back a little more. They tend to cause neck fatigue on long rides.

I am 6ft 7inches tall. I love this Honda VTX 1300c bike because I fit on it well. I just did a 150 mile trip and my back was still feeling good. It isn't hard to control not too heavy either. One thing I don't like riding on is rocks. I live on a rock road and it isn't fun getting to the highway. Just as long as you go slow. All in all great powerful bike. I have ridden honda's dirtbikes all of my life so you can't go wrong with any of their bikes. Plenty of power and nice for cruising. Great bi ...- Read Guest's review (112 words)

What a solid riding bike! I bought my Honda vtx1300r one month ago and have racked up over a thousand miles, including a nearly two hundred mile ride to the Oregon Coast yesterday. The bike's low center of gravity, stretched wheelbase and thoughtful geometry fit me perfectly, and makes maneuvering twisty roads a biker's luxury. With ample torque for a shaft drive, it answers the throttle with immediacy and reward, traits that contribute to dynamic safety (viz. the ability to maneuver out o ...- Read Guest's review (170 words)

The Honda VTX 1300c is a bike that could have it all but... I believe that the engineers and designers at honda didn't think it through in a couple of areas. The brake pedal is much to short, and as of yet I cannot find any method of extending it. If you add a hypercharger it really becomes awkward.. So.. if braking is a factor in your purchase please consider. Also the installation of floorboards makes the controls basically unaccessable. So mine went back and stirrups were put in place, now I ...- Read Guest's review (136 words)

Got my Honda VTX 1300c in february noched up 2000 miles great bike nice balance in the bends and slow corners. The ride is a bit firm to what im used to, had a vn 1600 before, but overall the vtx is far better handeling. A very pretty bike draws a lot of interest. have fitted vance @ hinds slash cuts sounds awsome- Read Old bloke's review (87 words)

This Honda VTX 1300c is my first bike in almost 30 years. I made the right decision. Easy to ride, lots of power, good in turns and smooth on the highway. All controls are well positioned and easy to use. It also looks great and sounds awsome with Vance & Hynes pipes. Great balance of black and chrome in the stock configuration. Haven't been able to get my wife to sit on that tiny passenger seat though.- Read fuzzy11's review (75 words)

I was going to buy a Harley, but I purchased the Honda 2006 VTX 1300R. Enough said. I like to ride my motorcycle, not work on it and tell everyone I have a Harley. By the way, this bike came highly recommended by Harley owners. And most Harley owners told me not to buy one.
The bike looks great, especially after all of the modifications I made to it- new straight pipes, new grips, back rest and sissy bar, saddle bags, and some chrome accessories. The bike is definitely big enough for me and is ...- Read jlambert's review (168 words)

Did a 2,000 mile trip round Europe this year and it was faultless. Fuel consumption was about 51mpg which I thought was good.
1300s has plenty of power and torque. Riding position is good and for pillion. Controls all work perfectly. Handling is ok. Headlight gives a clear view.- Read shapster1947's review (76 words)

Easy to ride. Well balanced. Easy to shift. LOTS of low end torque. Great gas mileage. Easy to customize.
This is a great first bike. All you have to do is change the oil, fill the gas tank and check the air pressure and go.- Read Guest's review (58 words)

Great bike and great price. I am 6'2" and feel very comfortable on my 1300c. I think it looks better than any HD in it's class. I bought it over HDs.- Read Guest's review (40 words)

I had a 1100 Sabre prior to purchasing my VTX 1300C. I love the step up in power but sure can tell the difference in weight. I love the bike on the road, nice and heavy. I've had the VTX only a couple of week now so I'm going to have to get used to the additional weight. Overall I think it's a really good buy.- Read Guest's review (82 words)

Would I buy another one? Yes. Comfortable to ride, and seat hight is just right for short folks, engine is quite smooth and not too loud.
Only problems are that the speedo is off a bunch, and the side embelembs do not fit real good, too much plastic on engine, needs a tach, and temp gague, antifreeze sight gague is hard to see, tires are not well suted for groved pavement, bike wanders on pavement cracks too much, change tread pattern to get rid of engine noise.- Read Guest's review (87 words)

Awesome bike! looks great, rides great and it's a Honda. I just a bought a new 2007 Honda VTX1300C 3 weeks ago. I now have 900 miles on it. I had it back to the dealer for the 500 mile service and they asked me if anything else needed to be looked at. I said it's a Honda, no everything is perfect.- Read Harrys VTX's review (59 words)

All around nice ride, would by the 18 next time though. Braking could be a little bettler up front, and the front springs should be be a lot stiffer, too soft up front for braking, handling, and ride. But progressive suspension fixs all that.- Read Guest's review (55 words)

Overall I would give the bike a 8.7 out of 10. You can't beat Honda reliability, and the price new makes this bike a 10. Good power when short shifting or getting on it. However, it falls off fast after peak torque. I would recommend anyone who loves to ride and not want to go broke in the process to buy one.- Read ccrook5544's review (149 words)

Sold my superglide last year 'cause I was out of work. Wanted to ride but not enough money for an HD. I've had Honda's in the past and loved them, so figured I try it again.
Kind of dissappointed about no tach and no fuel gauge. My Superglide had both and write where you could see them. Position of the footpegs, for me at least, were uncomfortable. You can't believe how small the brake pedal is (1300c). The T-Bars look nice, but to me are kinda wide.
I know, just little stuff, but I thought I wo ...- Read Guest's review (135 words)

I have parked my Wideglide because of always having to work on it (it is a 2004). Every 500-1000 miles the HD has to be tuned up. The Honda VTX 1300 C is dependable. Change the oil and check the tire pressure, then ride, a lot. If you buy the bike new, don't nurse it around too much. Ride it like you are gonna ride it every day. And don't be afraid to tach it a little bit.- Read Guest's review (115 words)
