Good Points: Excellent price and good power.

Bad Points: As mentioned, I don't like the clunk from 1st to 2nd gear.

General comments: I had a 1100 Sabre prior to purchasing my VTX 1300C. I love the step up in power but sure can tell the difference in weight. I love the bike on the road, nice and heavy. I've had the VTX only a couple of week now so I'm going to have to get used to the additional weight. Overall I think it's a really good buy.

Would I buy another one? Yes. Comfortable to ride, and seat hight is just right for short folks, engine is quite smooth and not too loud. Only problems are that the speedo is off a bunch, and the side embelembs do not fit real good, too much plastic on engine, needs a tach, and temp gague, antifreeze sight gague is hard to see, tires are not well suted for groved pavement, bike wanders on pavement cracks too much, change tread pattern to get rid of engine noise.

Awesome bike! looks great, rides great and it's a Honda. I just a bought a new 2007 Honda VTX1300C 3 weeks ago. I now have 900 miles on it. I had it back to the dealer for the 500 mile service and they asked me if anything else needed to be looked at. I said it's a Honda, no everything is perfect.

All around nice ride, would by the 18 next time though. Braking could be a little bettler up front, and the front springs should be be a lot stiffer, too soft up front for braking, handling, and ride. But progressive suspension fixs all that.

Overall I would give the bike a 8.7 out of 10. You can't beat Honda reliability, and the price new makes this bike a 10. Good power when short shifting or getting on it. However, it falls off fast after peak torque. I would recommend anyone who loves to ride and not want to go broke in the process to buy one.

Sold my superglide last year 'cause I was out of work. Wanted to ride but not enough money for an HD. I've had Honda's in the past and loved them, so figured I try it again. Kind of dissappointed about no tach and no fuel gauge. My Superglide had both and write where you could see them. Position of the footpegs, for me at least, were uncomfortable. You can't believe how small the brake pedal is (1300c). The T-Bars look nice, but to me are kinda wide. I know, just little stuff, but I thought I wo ...

I have parked my Wideglide because of always having to work on it (it is a 2004). Every 500-1000 miles the HD has to be tuned up. The Honda VTX 1300 C is dependable. Change the oil and check the tire pressure, then ride, a lot. If you buy the bike new, don't nurse it around too much. Ride it like you are gonna ride it every day. And don't be afraid to tach it a little bit.

I test drove this bike 2 days ago I'm after a bike thats big but not heavy the acceleration was fab and speedo was good. Nice indicators lights, footboards with heel and toe gear change and fuel range was great, plus shaft drive. No oily chains. Yes if its a bike that looks a bike usa style this will fill you up... plus honda reliabilty too.

I just purchased this bike today. It rides like a dream. Its got good smooth acceleration, low seat height, nice handling on the highway, and comfortable saddle with well place forward controls. I cant wait to ride it from Philadelphia to Sturgis.

I was really disappointed when I test drove a Honda VTX 1300. To me the bike is a poor attempt at resembling a Harley which to me is not a way to design motorcycles.

As mentioned already, unless you get a bike custom made for YOU, you're not got going to have every need met. That's why there are so many after market companies. I agree the seat could be more comfortable for a big guy but most people that make long runs go after market on most bikes. The only other thing I noticed is the clunk from 1st to 2nd and back but cruising around town sometimes it's a little reminder that you may be dropping down lower than you may want. This bike is tailored more for ...

Best return for your money. After 27 years I found the bike for me. Good looking, easy and fun to ride, good torq when you need it. I bought a 2006 brand new, dark red, big 18 liters tank. I really enjoy riding this bike.

If you are looking for great bike, look no further. Good power, balance and ride. Half the price of a Harley for a better looking bike that is able to keep up at any speed.

This is the first bike in 20 yrs. Bought used w/2079 miles. Has bags and crome. It was very easy to get used to but still a little hard to manuver at slow speeds due to size but overall a great choice to get back into riding.

I'm 47 and I have not ridden since my teenage years. As a teenager I rode mini bikes and a 100cc Honda dirt bike. Now that I am few years older - the 1300R Cruiser is the bike for me. Can't say enough good things about it. I'm glad I did not start with the shadow. This is a big bike but it handles like a dream.

The Honda VTX is a great bike to be riding with my partnres on street glides and me the only honda, but mine is bleck and ready to be mounted with a mustang seat, cobra pipes, set of cobra floorboards, no saddle bags, i want to keep it sleek looking - not scratch on it. My buddy and I are going to the arkansas mountains on a 4 day trip to try the hwy 7, talihina by-pass, scenic byway at mountain view.

Overall, a lot of bike for the money. It has a low center of gravity which makes it easier to ride than other bikes of similiar size. I would buy it again.
